  1. I, uh, personally think you should spend as much time as you need on Soyuz before moving on to N1. #SpaceRace2016
  2. I do usually just drink a ton of wine. My mainstay liquor is Black Velvet Premium Canadian Whiskey. Smooth as silk and imported cheap as hell near my original hometown. However, I was very impressed with Blue Sauza tequila. What else do I need to add for that to become possible? Got a bunch of contract work today and I've been taking care of that. Gotta pay the bills y'all. I was able to work a little bit here and there when I took breaks to clear my head - I'll see if I can get any more done tonight and then post a screenshot. Highlights include a more finalized mesh for the APS, and some work on the texture for the engine mount. Once those are textured, along with the J2, it becomes just busywork getting the rest of the S-IVB done.
  3. Keep in mind that the hitchhiker uses the old-style endcaps that are getting phased out IIRC.
  4. I need more detailed information fellas - the less time I have to spend banging my head against the wall the better. What experiments? Try and figure out which ones are more prone to breaking - if the issues stem from the distance of the attach nodes to the colliders, then I need to know what spacing makes everything work best. Additionally, you could try and reduce the staticAttachForce in the part cfgs to something lower - maybe 100 or so. 10 was resulting in the attachments breaking, because they were too weak. They are currently set to 2000, and could be breaking because too much force is being added to the system. Additionally, uploading copies of your KSP.log, mod lists, more info on what version of SEP and what KSP version you're running, etc would be helpful. Better yet - a volunteer to definitively solve this issue, even if it means I have to make changes in Unity.
  5. Needs to be bigger. I need to launch the Sarnus V stack once it's done.
  6. Eh, I'll take it! Wow, thank you! That's probably not too far off from how it will get spent - My job is ending and I probably won't be able to pick up another one when I start classes in a couple weeks. So keeping food on the table until then (when I can get living money from my scholarships) is a bit of, ah, a concern Yes - all the source files are available on request. It's just too much to try and keep available/uploaded somewhere at all times.
  7. Looking good so far. Might as well jump into texturing - it's not that hard to get a hang of, you'll usually just have to redo it once or twice to get it looking right.
  8. Small reminder that I will be on @akron's Twitch stream tonight, around two hours from this post. In case any of y'all missed my beautiful, alcohol soaked voice
  9. I'm not going to do multiple paint jobs for these parts, though of course I always will distribute the PSDs upon request. For the stripes, well, I just did them by quickly selecting faces and changing their color. There are no parts that are UV unwrapped or textured yet. Indeed, the Kane-11 Blok 2 CSM (Kane being pronounced 'Kahn-nay') named after the Hawaiian sun god. And yes, I would like to do Skylab. Is it not on the roadmap..? Yeah, I would like to do Skylab, Spacelab, maybe some other stuff. I don't see too much point in making a large array of parts for Freedom/ISS type stations, especially now that @cxg2827 is actively emulating my art style in CX Aerospace. If you want a Skylab sooner (since I don't have plans to immediately work on it after Saturn/Apollo is done) then @Angel-125's M.O.L.E. almost has a Skylab ready.
  10. Of course. I can very easily redistribute semi-compressed versions of the textures - everything below the text, the text layer, and everything above the text. I offered to do this for the Saturn 1 but IIRC had no takers so I haven't bothered yet. It is still very doable. I didn't know the S-1C had the retro solids there! I'll try and fix them. @hraban sent me some nice reference this morning for the fins - my placeholder models were wrong. Re: 1.5 stage Saturn, I believe you mean this? I'd like to do it at some point. C3-B is certainly doable. Hopefully at some point I will be able to turn to mostly mapping things to existing textures, or even copying+cutting out chunks of earlier meshes. The S-1C engine shrouds, for example, could hopefully be used when making the C3 and C3-B engine mounts. Yes, the Saturn V tank diameter (5.625m) will get additional tanks, from the various stretched versions etc. It's all opening up a lot now that I'm finally here and I'm trying to balance between forward-thinking and keeping my head on straight haha.
  11. From when I spoke to him earlier I think he meant it as a joke. I used to stream a lot of development work (Can't now as I am living a month without my desktop - yes all this has been with only one monitor!) and let's just say my spoken personality is... abrasive? Some of the people here mimic it and it can be very off putting for those who don't hang out with this circle of people. Anyways, y'all managed to twist my arm... Note that the SLA geometry is a bit weird right now. It isn't finalized, I need to test it with the LEM more. It's not an immediate priority at this second. Couple of questions... -How much writing should be on these? On the real Saturn, there were words on basically every stage. If so, what should I write? I don't want to have them be United States parodies. -And places that y'all would like to see flag decals? -Any suggestions for specific details you want me to model in?
  12. I was wondering if you'd be able to figure it out. It's a Barquetta with 2x Quetzal ESMs added in mirror symmetry, and rotated so the longer side of the trapezoid is facing inwards.
  13. Busy day busy day! @DiscoSlelge has created a much lighter weight version of the manual, reducing the size from 28mb to 5mb and making it much faster to browse. Take a look at it here!
