I guess but there's precedent for it to be not quite correct. If anyone has suggestions I suppose I'm open, though someone did point out to me (perhaps correctly) that BDB has a lot of LEO probes and might benefit more from probes that have a bit more legs to them for interplanetary or at least lunar stuff... unfortunately there aren't a ton of probes in the time period of the mod that haven't already been covered by Coatl. One thing I think would be useful would be some probe RCS, if people have designs they want. This is all very back burner compared to Titan though. The ring on the TRYP is 0.3125m; I didn't want it to be a 'full size' probe core but more comparable to like a QBE. Like Pappy said I kinda intended for it to be a relay or like earth observation satellite core maybe.

Thank you! Anyone know what it's based on? The name is a hint... No, it's the same size as something like the OCTO, which is sort of an 'expanded 0.625m', ie 0.625m parts won't stick out around the edges. Yeah, I showed them Monday. Hey! Yes I do remember running into you, nice to see you again! I'm glad my efforts to make the descriptions useful were successful, now if only more people would read them

Small updates... Titan 2 engine mount (far right) has a texture finally Started the process of splitting up the parts, a lot of them will need to be evaluated a bit more as I go. Here are the two first stage tanks for Titan 2. The upper tank will have a toggle to raise the tank dome so it's visible in the blast holes on the decoupler.

They were brown on all the GLV pictures I have. I don't think RO bothers converting the tanks, they're all about PP over there. Yes, I definitely shrank it a bit. I couldn't confirm it was that shape in any photos I found. I'm still playing with the color scheme for the engines. But yeah, generally took a pass on it, still some stuff to do here and there. I don't think I did anything to the AJ3 that wasn't done to the AJ7. Yeah I'm happy with how it the interior looks. The color is growing on me a lot. I'm not ruling out texture variants for these shrouds... We need to talk with @JadeOfMaar and see whether we're doing turbopump exhaust. It might be a question of if fxPoints can be changed... I think it still needs a liiiiiiittle somethin-somethin

Getting closer to finishing the first set of Titan parts. Going to be a long, grueling process getting this jumbled mess ready to get in game. But for now, a small preview of the current state of the parts. So, first off, the current state of the Titan 2 autoshroud/decoupler. What do people think? I struggled with these parts a lot. Here is the current state of the LR-91, there have been some additions to its texture but it might need a little more. The interior of the second stage has modeled details now as well. Here's a look at 3 of the 4 shrouds for the LR-87 - not shown is a 'compact' variant without a 1.875m mounting plate. Close ups of the 'Titan 3/4' style shroud. Much more accurate than the old one! Close ups of the 'Titan 1' style shroud. These will hopefully have texture switching like the tanks, I'm not sure to what extent. This one is more WIP than the Titan 3, the 'Titan 2' style seen in the first pic is barely started.

Model/Texture filenames - dumb question

Thanks for bringing that to our attention @G_Force080491 and thanks for figuring out the fix @Pappystein Thread seems a little dead lately... we need something interesting to look at... EDIT: Oh, also, last night these were brought to my attention and I may or may not have impulse bought them, so now I never have to buy another set of cufflinks since now I have a set. And they are quite... unique...

It's still Squad, from what I've heard Take2 has been pretty hands off so far when it comes to the actual development.

I think I made it too shiny. There's still some work to be done on the tanks I think. So, as a reminder, it's not just that it's an ablative cover. It's that the majority of the nozzle is a piece of ablator that's bolted on. There's no regenerative tubing underneath it. So if I didn't put the ablator on, the nozzle would be reaaaaaalllly short. I think partially the AJ3's shape is due to things like proper thrust chamber design not being as understood as they were, say, ten years later. I'm not sure what you mean by pogo devices. The engines are definitely lacking a bit of detail still. I need to go back to them again. The LR-87 not so much but definitely the LR-91s. I think I might reduce the chonk-factor of the Titan 2 LR-91. I can't find any photos of them with the wider bell, only the narrower ones.

Ohhhhhh I see now... would the easiest thing just be to basically duplicate the entire UniversalStorage compatibility and just add a 2 where appropriate? Nvm Jso already made a commit on Github Uhm. I guess it still is. I haven't done a lot of hand painting to these parts yet. I hope the white will snap in too, but I am using the base Restock white color. Part of the issue is that the Gemini service module's off-white isn't the same off-white. I might have to throw together a quick adjustment. I don't think I intentionally do NMM painting, but I certainly do bake in some of the highlights. I don't think so, how'd you manage that? No plans for it right now, wheels are a right pain to get working in KSP and I don't see a good way to get it to work without using KIS/KAS, which I'd rather not have as a dependency. In the meantime, there's @RoverDude's little PackRat rover which is pretty much the same thing
