  1. A sensible take. For me the thing I disagree with is: A Kerbal speaking English. Given that decision was made, I agree with what they did, but one of the things that makes a Kerbal a Kerbal (to me) is that backwards language they speak if they speak at all. For that reason, and that reason alone, id have rather seen tutorials delievered in a more deliberately 4th wall breaking manner (IE not trying to make it as though a Kerbal is speaking to you) But then I also sit here and think "Oh god forbid someone would have to READ like in KSP one while Von Kerman grunts at you" - but then I actually read the terminals in Fallout and the books in Skyrim too... and I doubt future games will continue to have that sort of effort applied to them either.
  2. Oh god no, not windows explorer!!?! Now hot loading the flag so you dont have to restart would be welcome, but id rather have the devs focused on about a million things other than image editing. Seems like a web page on kerbalspaceprogram.com would be a no brainer tho. Upload an image, crop it with tge right fixed ratio, resize and download. Should be a no brainer for any paid webmaster.
  3. In all seriousness, I'm rather intrigued by the SWERVE - I've always found the NERV not worth it.
  4. Landers that don't slide down the tiniest incline...
  5. Not that can see. For that, I'd send up a rover with a Claw on the front, up high. Drive into the side of the lander, start pumping gas. Might try it on KSC runway first. For some reason I'm having this thought that you'd need to have an engineer run fuel lines after "clawing" the lander, but I'm not sure.
  6. They all caterwaul about nonsense. If the narrator's voice is enough to put someone off they were already gone. I find its perfectly fine. I feel like everyone complaining about it - perhaps mostly because of how they are complaining about it - really, really, REALLY needs a true crisis or tragedy in their life to get some [redacted] perspective.
  7. I know. "Fix This" would be addressing that vomit on the screen or having a way to close the window, not me having to turn it on and off (and reloading KSP) dependent on their host being up or down.
  8. KSP remastered really. KSP with built in (and sometimes re-imagined) mods and a new UI. Which is good as a starting point. I think I like the UI better - sounds are miles better - it's a good start. I agree, I tried it and loved when I saw the grass and trees upon landing far from KSC, but very quickly I saw the tiled texturing of duna and the overdone rock scatter and decided to pull it.
  9. My FX-6350 > minimum AMD Athlon X4 845 My GTX1070 8gb is listed as a minimum req So, maybe?
  10. So, can I? I have no kerbaling idea. For years now I haven't been able to tell because models of compents long ago abandoned a sequential order that would provide ANY clue...

  12. That is something to look forward to. Not only having sound events for all things in the game (I noticed a nice BOONGG! on a wing strike) but also having it all purposely laid out on the sound stage. My docking sounds was just one of many missing sound elements of the original, Chatterer filled in more, but having it ALL from day 0 by the devs will be bliss! I won't be on board day 1 but I hope I will join you all soon and look forward to player made vids of how it plays.
  13. My god what a gift this is. I'll have to untrain myself for where to find my usual go to parts, but no more hunting memebers of the same "part sets" Lord knows "sort by size" is utterly and fantastically useless. Thanks to everyone who has been involved in this - my one regret? Not finding it sooner!
  14. I have frequently wished for a quick reference to mph when driving a rover, or knots when flying.
  15. It's right there... https://archive.org/download/text-mesh-pro-release-1.0.56.2017.3.0b-2-dll-only/TextMesh_Pro_-_Release_1.0.56.2017.3.0b2_dll_only.unitypackage
  16. Yeah, this section in particular is not only littered with dead links (old format forum links) but also implies that MJ won't auto install on all cores and capsules UNLESS another mod (dead link) is installed. OP needs some editing (and maybe some pruning / hiding sections) average visitor really doesn't need a laundry list of years of change log entries.
  17. You'll find many mods that have MM scripts to make things as plug-n-play as possible, MM is usually the #1 step in adding mods. Admitedly, I don't recall that ever being explicitly outlined anywhere - and for such a modable game I'd argue MM should be part of the core KSP install, but just browsing mods for a bit will show we are almost all using it if we have a plugin (DLL file).
  18. https://archive.org/details/text-mesh-pro-release-1.0.56.2017.3.0b-2-dll-only There, I fixed the internet. This was formerly hosted by a Unity staffer on Google drive (who knows why???) - I got my hands on a copy, made a test KSPpedia page to make sure I could, and stuffed it into the IA for safe keeping. Am I allowed? IDGA[redacted]!
  19. Assuming Internet Archive doesn't kick it back out for some reason: https://archive.org/details/text-mesh-pro-release-1.0.56.2017.3.0b-2-dll-only
  20. A few corrections as of Unity 2019.4.18f1 (64-bit): 1.) Reverse these steps - Width and Height do not appear until the Anchor Preset has been changed to Top-Left. 2.) In Unity 2019.4.18f1 (64-bit) this is untrue, see the post below for details on how to set the AssetBundle. 3.) Final Gotcha for me... Each text and image added to the page you are making requires an extra step to actually SHOW UP in KSP. Right click the object you added and click Added GameObject->Apply to Prefab '...' to make the small + disappear. NOW it's actually added to the page!
