I'd put the black tanks in the middle for the ascent, then assemble in orbit... make it less asymmetrical.

The key is thrust through center of mass, the shuttle was an asymmetrical design, and that's why the rear engined on the shuttle are in the angle that they are. Shifting center of mass is why they have a large gimbal range, to keep the center of thrust pointed thru the center of mass. (Remember, main shuttle engines did not fire when the external tank was jettisoned)

Switch to BDB.

Based on GitHub, yours appears to be the most up to date "unofficial" maintenance version. So, I've forked it and I intend to add configs for Trails and BDB both of which have Gemini capsules like Tantares, hgr, etc. I'll do a pull request when I'm done.

I'm forking this and will send a push request when I'm done. I'll add support for trails and BDB, Trails is Beale's seperate Gemini pod, which I now maintain, and BDB uses the same capsule in its parts. Theres a more up to date thread, here... So, I'll do the patches for that one.

My thought was similar, use mk2 and wings only to.make the shape. I've seen wingless mk2 exibit lift.

If texture replacer is set for real reflections, switch to static or none and check again. I had low fps when an EVA Kerbal was on screen.

Kerbin 626 is inhabited by a monoculture with various sub groups. These groups hold differing opinions on some matters, like the Kraken nutters who think our rockets will provoke the wrath of the gods again. This relates to the mythos that Kerbal once all lived above ground until the day a displeased sky smote them. (Great crater). Most no long believe such nonsense, although research in the recently discovered desert temple shows that a catastrophic event did happen once. They all live underground (think kerbalized fallout vaults), the only occupied above ground structures being at KSC. Recently tho, a capsule appeared stranded in orbit, and no one knows where it came from. This has led to speculation that there may be another group out there, also trying to explore space. Although oddly no other objects like unaccounted for satellites have been located.

Antennas these days, now that they are important. I either forget them or badly comprehend their range. Comprehension is improving, but I still forget. Usually realizing it after I've built it with construction time... Not leaving empty seats on rescue contracts is another fav...

WHAT'S a great Mod? You said the LEM uses ASET, mentioning nothing about any mod - which makes it seem you mean BDB uses ASET, now you say "it's a great mod"... This is like reading "Why is a mouse when it spins? Because the faster it spins the fewer!" >_<
