  1. The signalling has been removed or hard disabled. SIMPLEX is compatability with the current version 1.5.x? And probably the previous versions too. I'm not sure about the latest Jenkins builds as @N70 heads into 1.6.0 as the profile setup maybe a little different. But once released I'll ensure an updated ones through quickly. Peace.
  2. I like it @MedwedianPresident. I'd keep it to in game logic as much as possible. Instead of an asteroid, why not a staging incident. With Jeb stuck with the lander as before. You could add a drop booster igniting flying around and coliding with the vessel. Peace.
  3. Another update - I don't have much time to work on this, around twenty minutes a day currently. On the positive side of things i worked out my issue with the science box model. Basically I wasn't removing the old model or mesh or whatever. That's sorted and I standardised the size for it against the FL-T400. A nice aluminium style texture. Now that I've done this, I finish the part off an post the update today or tomorrow. Peace.

  6. Hi everyone. An update is coming but I've hit a snag. I've created a new texture for the Simplex Ore tanks that is more in line with what I want and can implement it using an MM cfg texture changer. What's delaying me a ltitle was that I wanted to do the same for MetalPart and ModulePart containers but with a more rectangular shape using the scale and rescale options. I spent the weekend trying to do it with the ScienceBox model but could not get it to replace the texuture! Over the next few days I'll try with the ProbeCube model and see how far I get. At worst I'll utilise a part from another mod There will also be some code cleanup. So... Release 0.9 once containers are sorted with code cleanup and separating out. Also MetalOre will change to NaturalOre so that there isn't a conflict if someone has CRP installed. I also have agreement to add in KD furnaces. 0.10 with the Simple Construction mod files and Ground Construction mod files added. These mods won't be required for the Kerbalism profile, but if they are installed and not kerbalism then it will adjust them in the same way. .11 Keriden Dynamics mod profile Then a release? Peace.
  7. Hi all. An update with some mod support will occur this evening. The engine reconfigure will be separated into a separated cfg so that it can be more easily removed if people want. Also, I've been wondering whether to implement some small twig branches which would be for part upgrades. These would cost a small amount of science but would add back some of the reconfigure amount, lessen dry mass of tanks, add functionality to probes etc. Solar cells, batteries. This wouldn't be implemented for a while though. And it would be a choice to either save your Science Points for the next tier or spend a little to make a certain tech a little better. The current logic to play through would not be altered. Let me know what you think! Also, I'm keen to know how people are finding the balance and which mods you want me to push support for. Peace.
  8. I am working on it. As was the case with the HPTechTree, mods are unlikely to support it off the bat. Mods that use the stock tech tree will of course just add in on the node they are coded for, but I've made some logic assumptions, (such as size of tanks at different levels, a=so the balance may be a little off. A suggestion in teh past was to try and make it compatible with CTT, but my ownlogic assumptions didn't allow for it As major mods, currently I plan to add Near future, Keriden Dynamics; SSPX, Tokamak; KER kOS, and a number of small parts and enhancements such as Vens additional bits and pieces, KKPBS which I used to use a lot, but less so more recently Dock Rotate. Peace.
  9. I think self sufficient bases will be easier with Simplex... if only because you only need to worry about breakages and the buildup of radiation and stress amd mining only one resource. AFAIK the longest you can get with stress and radiation is around 21 years with max living space and max shielding? Also... I wonder if there is a way to implement a using of a resource to fix breakages. Ideas?

  12. Hi all, I would like to add a stripe of colour to a stock part (an ore tank, the bracing around the middle chaned colour. And then distribute it as a mod. Firstly, if I copy and rename the stock.dds simply add the colour stripe using paint.net, then upload it as part of a mod for use in the Variant switcher, acknowledgement to Squad, is this legally allowed? Secondly, is it possible to just overlay the strip over the top using the Variant switcher and avoid the issue? Thanks for your help!

  16. No worries, it had crossed my mind, it is just a matter of coming up with awesome and obvious names for the stuff. The only thing about the SSRSS was that I wanted a stock-alike feel, but was so used to how engines operated in vacuum in stock so I wanted to keep that. Eventually I'd like to add compatibility of the simplex resources to SSRSS, and hope that Galileo will continue his awesome work on it. Peace.
  17. Thanks @Jimbodiah and I need to add a credit to you for the idea of limited propulsion from your SSRSS patch. Sorry it wasn't there in this release! I get the point about MetalOre - I'll do it differently. I might use HardOre or something and switch HydrateOre to SquishyOre or something so that there is little confusion. I guess I don't like having it all or nothing with or without CRP. I wanted an extension of stock but not too intense. Especially when adding mods that use part switching. So I've wanted a kind of a middle way. IFILS is great for showing what you have and how much but i like the idea of air scrubbing and atmosphere leakage. I want to different resources for different things too. That kind of simplistically but with a tweak for interestingness is where Im going with the EPL recipies as well. I may not use the Rocket Surgeon in the end. It over complicates things. Over night I've been thinking that I'll release the tech tree separately. The Kerbalism and EPL in the next release can both be there and not used if the mods aren't present but if some want just the tech tree it is less likely to need updating - unless adding mod support. I too have a stupid question - an increasing number of the mods you maintain require Click through Blocker and Toolbar Controller - if Blizzy Toolbar is required to be installed, then some of the mods you maintain now require three others? Don't get me wrong, I'll install them as I really appreciate the work and skill you bring in, I just wondering about increasing diversification. Also, I tried Blizzy once (years ago) and didn't like it. I guess I'll be giving it a go again! Peace.
  21. Has anyone attempted using the 1.4 stock art variant within a kerbalism setup configure - to change tanks colours etc if you are configuring to a new resource. If so... does it work?
