Just thought a little... The Canada proper place seems to be next to Australia. Both are from Commonwealth, mostly English-speaking. One lacks heat, another one lacks snow. If merge them, it would be a properly watered and warm place, with marsupial grizzly on the eucalypts, snow cangaroo (like in SW ep. V), and other things.

We are watching-watching the S2 orbit, corresponding to a normal 4 mln MO... and even can't see that its orbit is chaotic due to the whirl of invisible dark matter around the Sgr A*. Very dark is that dark matter (tm). Dark and grim like brothers Grimm.

Greenland would be a green land, and Alaska would be another Florida, less hot and more comfy. Couldn't you put your part of land somewhere in the middle of Pacific, which lacks any land. It would also turn your pines into palms, which are evolutionally almost the same, just with overturned needles.
