The Retro Solar Rescue
linuxgurugamer replied to Human Person's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Just an update on my mission: Last night, Valentina successfully rendezvoused with Burberry, achieving a relative velocity of 0.0m/s only 200 m from his ship.. After unfreezing, he did a successful EVA and joined Valentina in the crew cabin of the rescue ship. Val refused to let him touch the controls, and told him to get into the DeepFreeze chamber prior to maneuvers. Good thing, because he almost took out one of the solar panels and tried entering the chamber through something which he thought looked like a hatch. After setting up maneuver nodes and doing a bit of time warping, the return voyage began. The burn had to be interrupted due to time constraints, there is currently 4 hours of burn time left on this maneuver. Once the burn is complete, Val will join Burberry in the DeepFreeze chamber until it will be time to enter Kerbin orbit. Total mission time is going to be less than 1 kerbal year. The ship is estimated to have more than 5000 m/s dV in reserve, so there won't be any issue in getting into a low kerbin orbit before reentry. Mission will be finished next Sunday, at which time I will be doing a giveaway of a copy of KSP in celebration of the successful mission.- 214 replies

Ok. Did you get the log (ie: can I delete it)? Is there anything else you need from me for this? -
[1.12.x] DeepFreeze (v0.31.0) 12th Sep 2021

@JPLRepo did you see this, and any idea what's going on? -
I needed a countdown for a video I was making, found this mod which hasn't been updated in a year, and the author, @belpyro, hasn't been around since January. Original thread is here:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/84692-nasa-countdown-v11b-113/ NASA CountDown updated f The new version for KSP 1.4.1 has new dependencies New Dependencies Click Through Blocker ToolbarController Highly Recommended ModuleManager CKAN has been updated to install the dependencies, if needed. This is a mod which continues a great mod LCD - Launch CountDown v1.7.2 idea. Since Imgur albums are broken (again), here is what it now looks like: Countdown Clock: Sound Selection: Stage selection: After countdown is started: After doing a hold: Example and How-To-Use: https://youtu.be/gSZVLG_KpTw Features Countdown visualization like NASA countdown Last 10 seconds can be setup for custom stage launch Stock Toolbar support Engine control for realistic launch (if enabled, mod will set throttle to 1% on last 4 sec and set throttle to default on launch) Save all user settings for each vessel Check launch situation and execute abort action Add custom sound set (see readme file) Enable/disable sound (launch will start from 15 second if disabled) Main window scale (from 0.2 to 1 scale factor) New Features Saves settings for each vessel launched, so the next time the same vessel is launched, it will get the same settings Uses craft name (vessel name in the Editor) to save settings, so that other mods which change the name after leaving the editor will not affect this Download Source: https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/LaunchCountdownEx SpaceDock: https://spacedock.info/mod/1462 License: CC-BY-NC-SA-3.0

Are you running 1.2.2 or 1.3? if 1.3, see the following: -
[1.9.x] Hangar Extender Extended
linuxgurugamer replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No, I did not say that. Read the last sentance from my previous post. To rephrase: The only thing that this changes is the physical limits of the editor. You cannot rollout those massive rockets until you upgrade both the VAB and the launchpad -
[1.9.x] Hangar Extender Extended
linuxgurugamer replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It doesn't. It simply allows you to build vessels which are bigger than the building. But you are still restricted as to what you can get out of the building and onto the launch pad/runway -

Refresh your CKAN, it is there. There does seem to be some funky stuff going on with CKAN, though -
[1.12.x] DeepFreeze (v0.31.0) 12th Sep 2021
linuxgurugamer replied to JPLRepo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Have a bit of a problem here. Val is on a rescue mission, was frozen, about 77 mods installed of various types. I unfroze her, no problem. She went EVA to get to the command pod, when she entered, there were two portraits for her. See the image below. Log file: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hvnh4q8zl2csiy7/AABvDHHKh-dxGWw58MRxh_u3a?dl=0 Is this a bug, or something else? -

I don't know, but the following thread is a better place to find something like this: -

That is a different meter, called a VSI (Vertical Speed Indicator) meter -
It's not going to happen, so please stop asking. I may adopt it, if @m4veither doesn't get back to me or tells me to go ahead.
