The Joolian Colonizer Initiative: Sending 500 Kerbals to Jool
Mikki replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
@JacobJHC I`ve put 50 Kerbals to Duna actually and it took me 14`000`000 million funds. Some of them have landed on Duna and they have some nice vessels to play with. Look here If you can put 500 Kerbals to Jool... I will call you "Lord JacobJHC of Jool" Good luck... And you`re really nuts -
Part six Colony drop and random discussions about this and that, Jebediah brings Debby safe to solid Duna ground During the reconstruction and extension of the orbital logistics hub, parts of the crew are being ferried over to the Droppod carrier, embarking the Ranger pods and one after another descending to the surface. Two ferries are in charge for this job, LFO is in ample supply at the logistics hub, a large tank has arrived meanwhile. Debby Kerman is rather nervous about the fact that she will be soon on Dunas surface, jumping around like nuts in the reddish dusty soil. Jebediah Kerman is in charge of delivering the precious her safely in one of the MKS Ranger modules to her destiny destination, his comment on the fact of being the most important pilot for the BDP management got rather ironic: "What? Me shall pilot this eggshaped piece of cheapest spacejunk? Hoorrrraaayyyyy!" Kerbals eagerly board the ferries and move over to the carrier, some impressions in the spoiler below: The logistics hub gets more upgrades and additional fueltanks delivered... Kerbals are glad to discover more crates with bubblyzine, party goes on as usual, loud music, dancing and occasional golf sessions make a happy crew and happy management... Rumours about nudity and loud singing haven`t been confirmed by now. Additional stuff and extension: Kerbals descend to the surface and target the Duna rover, some precise landings have been performed and thanks to the miniwheels on the ranger modules all the components meet up in the desired location... More pics from the colony drop and the assembly: And finally Debby Kerman arrived on Duna...!!! After landing and attaching the last module, Willo Kerman plants a flag, witnessed by Lemmon Kerman. They keep a small talk about weird things. - "What do you think about the `Tube`, Willo?" - "I really don`t know much about it. Time will tell." - "I heard rumours about Ikebug, are we going to visit the ridge on Ike?" - "... Probably..." - "... Hm..." Sooo, mission looks excellent, not much to care about...

Agreed, to me it seems Kerbals are the developed descendants of @Snarks avatar. Bunch of peacefull radiation immune big waterbears.

Moral & Technological Problems with Mars Colonization
Mikki replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Living (And working) in europa has its own advantages. (Europa doesn`t end in Jekaterinburg. Europa ends in Wladiwostok.) And the US spends significantly more percentages of their GDP to entertain atleast 5% of their inhabitants with obscure jobs... -
Moral & Technological Problems with Mars Colonization
Mikki replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Aside the recent derailment of this intriguing topic... How about colonising mars just for fun? Or "fame"? Or simple boredom? Must it be economical? Does economy even apply to such a project? What about all the lifetimes/workhours of the involved people in a mars colonisation project? Wouldn`t it be a "higher" goal for bored and oversatisfied advanced people who are lacking any new discoveries on our planet? I really think not attempting to do this would be plain stupid and ignorant. Even if we know mars is not selfsustainable habitable, why not get there and see what impression people have there and come back here and tell us about. Instead killing ourselves in various wars worldwide and exploiting the environment for luxurygoods and fast cars... Common. Sending people to mars looks logic. At least so logic like all the unreasonable things people do all the time. I am gonna buy (or order...) a Tesla this year. A blue one. I love the shape of the cars. -
Titan: A superior colony world compared to Mars.
Mikki replied to daniel l.'s topic in Science & Spaceflight
Titan leaves once per orbit saturns magnetic field and pops out into the suns solarwind.... Small amounts of the upper atmosphere get lost while that time... -
Go to the astronautcenter, Kerbal achievemnets are to the right Might have to hover above the Kerbal with the mousecursor....
-
Hello to the forums! Are you sure your currently available probecores and/ or Kerbal pilots have the mentioned capabilitys? Check the parts description/pilot achievments. Prograde and retrograde show up when the vessel is launched (staged and moving) if i remeber correctly... I'm sure your issue is easy solved...

Haven't played KSP since 0.24, what have I missed?
Mikki replied to Riven's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You`ll be amazed... I think i wast enjoyed about 3000 hours in KSP.. don`t ask... And hello to the forums, where true Kerbals rule. -
In order to verify Dres existence, someone must take a road-trip to the roid-trap .
-
Dropping a MKS colony on Duna:
-
Dres is real cool, has lots of little roids to play with. One of my favourite places in KSP.
-
This is by far the most overkilled rescuemission i witnessed during my time with KSP and the forums. You deserve crates full of cookies, excellent Kerbal lore and narration! Cheers! 10/10 Und übrigens viel Glück noch! (good luck)

Mr. Musk deserves respect, tunneling and mining is actually a very satisfying work. I must know it . Saint Barbara with SpaceX.

Wrong. Tu-160 flew at least 5 years earlyer (1981). Beautifull aircraft.

Moral & Technological Problems with Mars Colonization
Mikki replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Hi there, i`ve never heard of Ms. Cobb, googled now and i fully understand your opinion, as i said, time will change as i learned here about NASAs current gender policy. Scandinavia and closer regiones have overcome sexism long time ago, and i am myself still deeply embarrassed about certain cultural communitys i`ve visited during my life. For the peace of this thread i end here for the better. -
Moral & Technological Problems with Mars Colonization
Mikki replied to Mr. Peabody's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Really no offense, i am married since 24 22 (ups) years, two daughters, many years in the field with guys and girls. I am no sexist at all. Time will change.
