  1. I would have asked before, but your name is on the opt-out list, so I took that to mean you didn't want any more of your mods on there.
  2. So, here's something that might help you. Just click all the boxes from 1.8 upwards (including 1.8 itself). Mods in 1.8 onwards are generally compatible with 1.12.x IIRC, you can even get away with 1.7.x, but that's a bit riskier.
  3. We get it. Its beyond your pay grade, and the people officially tasked with forum infrastructure maintenance are likely cleaning out their desks now, if they haven't already (again, not a failure on their part).
  4. Doubt it. Its been going on basically every night I've been on, and schools let out a month ago. Plus, there doesn't seem to actually be enough traffic to cause problems.
  5. I don't know. I haven't been able to start up a game yet, because I'm still trying to get a new modlist sorted out. I tried that curseforge app, and its a garbage fire. It claims to be able to detect mods, and it detected some, but not all, or even most (in total, I believe it detected 5 of ~260, so 98% failure rate), of the mods I installed via CKAN. Most of the mods it did detect were Zer0's mods that are also avaliable on CKAN (though it did detect one of LGG's mods). Kinda not a good sign that I might be able to accidentally install two copies of one mod from two different sources. Sounds like a good way to brick things. The app also forces ads on you, which it claims supports the modders, and that sounds nice , but I'm worried about performance impact and tracking. So I uninstalled. And it left crap behind. Including on my Steam copy, which I intentionally keep clean to be able to do fresh reinstalls of in case my modded copy (or copies) get borked. So not only did I have to uninstall the curseforge app, and the overwolf app that it depends on, I also had to uninstall and reinstall my steam copy of KSP, and check to make sure none of the curseforge BS tainted my steam cloud (thankfully, it did not). And it doesn't even install dependencies (admittedly, not as much of a shock when that's listed in the OP of every mod thread Zer0 puts up, but still, that's a massive feature to be missing for something that's supposed to be a CKAN alternative). I just wish more of @zer0Kerbal's mods were up on CKAN (and that more of the ones that are there would have up to date versions). IDK why, but it seems like they're the only modder with that problem.
  6. I mean, the NF Suite meets all of your criteria. I don't know what you mean by "you have to switch versions", because the whole suite works on 1.12.x Its such a universally beloved suite that it got Nertea on the KSP2 dev team, and virtually all the other major KSP1 mods are compatible with it (including RPM). Also, other than other ones by Nertea, including Far Future Tech, Kerbal Atomics, Stockalike Station Parts Expansion, Mark IV spaceplanes etc. that are compatible with 1.12.x. Maybe try OPT (I mean, its only listed as 1.11, but it'll still work)? Blueshift does FTL, then there's Flying Saucers. Jade of Maar and Angel 125 both do other mods, but the only other ones that fit a futuristic theme aren't on CKAN, and also, it gets hard to distinguish "futuristic" from "alternative past" (in the case of MOLE and KARE) and "alternative present" (in the case of Mk 33 and Tea Kettle RCS) techs.
  7. Actually, speaking of SunkWorks (and CKAN), will SW be coming to CKAN?
  8. Only temporarily. Reddit is never a true replacement for a forum. Things get buried there much more easily. And Discord is really only useful for dedicated subcommunities (i.e., content creators, community challenge discussions, etc.).
  9. I've never used Kerbalism, so I can't help you there. GL with it, though.
  10. Just bumping this because its nearly been a week. Also, I only ask because I want to try this mod, and also redownload a bunch of your other mods, but there's also a bunch of mods (including some that aren't on Curse, like Restock/+) that I use CKAN for.
  11. I can't speak to whether its compatible, personally. But I didn't want to leave you unacknowledged. Snacks is also pretty much universally compatible, if you'd like a bit simpler LS option. And I use Kerbal Health for a lot of the stuff Kerbalism does, but without the default incompatibility with everything else, and it seems to work fine.
  12. IIRC, Kerbalism is considered incompatible by default with every other mod, unless there's either a patch to make that mod compatible, or that mod explicitly adds Kerbalism support. Also, Snacks is the simplest LS mod, IIRC, and MKS does support USI LS, Snacks, and TAC LS. USI LS, I've heard, is supposed to be the middle ground option, with TAC LS being a step shy of Kerbalism, but also, I think its gotten a lot less usage from the community since like 1.7 (at least).
  13. Its also a material problem. IIRC, the particular alloy of stainless Cybertruck uses is more prone to rusting than the one the DeLorean uses. And there are already widespread reports of Cybertruck owners here in the states experiencing rust on their trucks, within less than a month of taking ownership. At a certain point, its not an issue of bad maintenance, and more an issue of terrible choices by the manufacturer. And we can squarely place all of Cybertruck's defects at Elon's feet, because he dictated its 'style' (or lack thereof, in this case). He's the one that wanted it to have the same silhouette as Lara Croft lying down. He's the one that wanted it to be super shiny, no matter what (even if that required using an objectively bad alloy thats more prone to rusting in automotive applications). He's all flash, no quality. And that is why, getting back on topic, he would be bad as an owner of the KSP IP.
  14. Brazil??? That thing's gonna give its owner tetanus by Halloween. It'll be a bigger rustbucket than a redneck's yard car.
  15. I think you're referring to KSTS:
  16. Actually, 1.12.x has been decent to me. I have had problems, but I also insist on using 100+ mods, some of which haven't been updated since 1.8.x, so I suspect (never could get around to troubleshooting) bad mod interactions more than terrible game bugs, especially since unmodded 1.12 is fine (ignoring the orbital decay bug, but the KSP1 version of that hasn't been as bad as KSP2's version for a long time, and in a dumb way, actually increases game realism, I guess). TL;DR: PEBCAK aside, I haven't experienced any gamebreaking bugs in the most recent version.
  17. To be fair, the opportunity to build and fly planes and rockets with my friends and girlfriends was (and still is) very appealing. Also, the existence of DMP and LMP show that it isn't entirely impossible. It could have even been done well, if KSP2 had been built from the start with multiplayer in mind, and not had KSP1's code as its backbone.
  18. You forgot, he probably also wanted to snoop into Grimes' DMs to see if Chelsea Manning had slid in them.
  19. What's really weird, is that I had to manually update CKAN before I could see it.
  20. I mean, the only remotely tangible business benefit to KSP is getting more people interested in becoming aerospace engineers.
  21. Actually, if we had to convince a space billionaire to buy the IP for continued development, I'd sooner endorse convincing Bezos than Musk. Not that I think Bezos would be good, either. Honestly, the only one of that group I'd be comfortable owning the IP is Peter Beck. Man literally ate his hat just to prove a point about doing what he said he'll do.
  22. I think its both simultaneously. Make it attractive for potential buyers, while still closing up shop.
  23. At the risk of derailing the discussion (which I'm not trying to do) I don't like the kinds of cowmanure Melon Husk does, or promotes, or platforms. I think a lot of the spaceflight enthusiast community is too excited by SpaceX to pay attention to the massive red flags. Suffice it to say, he should not be buying the KSP IP, and he definitely won't be as benevolent as Squad was before T2. Speaking of whom, yeah, I actually do think Elon buying KSP from them would be worse than them keeping it. Shocking as it is, there are some things worse than AAA game publishers. Hatemongers and conspiracy promoters being primary examples.
