[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Nightside replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You probably already know this but I've recently learned that rescaleFactor = 1.25 is the default value, though it may depend on what method is used to define the model/mesh. -
Thanks @Aelfhe1m, I suspected as much. I'm working on a project that resizes the stock parts to realistic (or otherwise) scale(see sig), which leaves all the craft files distorted. I was hoping I could rescale all the part positions in the craft files. Not a big deal since its pretty unlikely that many of them would work anyway.

You would also need an engine set up to burn that propellant.

Wow that thing is cool! Do they actually have a contract for iss cargo or crew deliveries?

@Sigma88 Well I am interested, but I won't be around this weekend to try it. Even after downloading I am still curious as to what it does... Similar to Texture Replacer?

@tater I think if you hold your face close enough to your monitor you will see your own reflection!

TRANSMOGRIFIER - Real-size rockets - stockalike gameplay (ρ)
Nightside replied to Nightside's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Beta Release! Fixed some bugs and got more features working. See 1st post. Although my interest is in rescaling parts to a real-ish size, it also works for other sizes because it was more fun to make it that way. Model Rockets anyone? @theJesuit, yes that is exactly what happened. I had two options, try to move the kerbals around so the seatbelts wouldn't show, or resize the kerbals themselves to fit their surroundings, (they are like goldfish, right?). That's the idea! If you want to land on the moon (and return) you will need to build something as massive as the Saturn V ~100 m tall. -
[1.12.3+] RealChute Parachute Systems v1.4.9.5 | 20/10/24
Nightside replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Welcome to the forums @JEB'S DESTINY, I'd like to help, but I'm having a hard time following what is not working. if the following does not help, please restate your issue in a single post, or head over to the Modded Tech Support Forum for more general help. You need these installed in your GameData folder: -Realchute -ModuleManager2.8.1 -realchutetweak.cfg (the MM patch described by @softweir) -
Is it just that they haven't updated their scheduling yet (delivery must always be 2-3 years in the future) or are they expecting a lot more budget to get this out ahead of schedule?
-
Is this ready to use/ testing? I am so curious!
-
I missed it. How’d it go?

Arianespace has a great website. Makes me want to buy a rocket!

Welcome to the forums @Nic Joker, I am not familiar with this mod, but if you ask your question in it's thread you might more easily attract the attention of the mod's creators and others who might know how to resolve the problem.

OCD Alert: I want to get around the contracts system!
Nightside replied to Gunnn's topic in KSP1 Discussion
@Gunnn, it’s a real problem! 1st grab the mod Contract Configurator. It can disable various stock contracts. Next, look at some of the contract packs available, there are several that have “storyline” exploration themes. @Geonovast, no need to muck about in the save file. You can add funds or science points straight from the f12 menu. I usually do this to skip ahead to the middle of the tech tree since I have played the early game a lot. -

Nightside replied to Dunbaratu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can anyone recommend a syntax enhancer for kerboscript compatible with Notepad ++? I tried the two on github but both failed to load into Notepad++.- 1,364 replies

It seems like lighting the engines is the riskiest part of FH. Why? What is the max number of engines successfully ignited at launch so far? once flying it won’t be much different from delta4 heavy.

Its good to hear that the rest of the company is still working on Dragon even if Elon's attention has shifted to grander things.
