  1. As far as I know all these mods should go in the GameData folder and must maintain their file structure as downloaded. If you do not have a Firespitter folder in GameData you must install it separately.
  2. You might be thinking of the recycler part in Extraplantary Launchpads.
  3. You could use the configs from the stock Vector for inspiration. It is based on the Rs-25.
  4. Yeah, @KerbMav set up the stock probes to be able to upgrade. You may be able to use this example with the SSTU probe core.
  5. Take your time, we don't want any undercooked waffles.
  6. @Shadowmage, the new engine textures look great! I am trying to add in my own custom SSTU fuel type. Do I have to add it directly to the Data\fueltypes.cfg or can I have the file in another folder (or add it with MM)?
  7. Has anyone made a mod that adds random encounter with other vessels to ksp? It seems like it would make exploring kerbin much more interesting. It would also pair well with BDA.
  8. You should look at some of the concept art for the (absurd) Mars One mission if you haven't yet seen it. They plan construct their base out of several Dragon capsules landed close together with inflated habs.
  9. @harrisjosh2711 maybe a Red Dragon version with isru capability.
  10. @TheKnave, SSTU has everything you need to launch rockets so you could easily do without most of your rocket parts mods: KW, Vens, SpaceY, Cryo Engines, MRS. I use SXT myself but I delete the Saturn rocket parts and a few others (I mostly want the airplane stuff). I get a bit fussy about having too many redundant parts in the VAB so I tend to prune big mods down to just get the parts I want.
  11. Maybe they can finally take down the shuttle launch stand. Its pretty tacky, like displaying a trophy you didn't win yourself.
  12. Thanks for the help. I'm trying to add some methalox engines and haven't found much info except that the fuel ratio of the Raptor is about "3.8" (I assume this is lox/CH4) So as long as my flow ratio=3.8/1 the rest is worked out automatically?
  13. Hey @magico13, I have an idea for a mod that would build off of Scrapyard and also provide a project for me to learn some coding. The mod would apply a deviation to the stats of individual parts, such as max temp/pressure. Quality control (reduced deviation) would be improved with facility upgrades. Does this sound like it would work with Scrapyard? Also, does it sound like a reasonable difficulty level for a beginner to attempt?
  14. Question for creating my own engine configs: Is the fuel mixture ratio mass, volume, or stoichiometric? I see ratios on engines (on Wikipedia or whatever) usually listed as a positive number like 5.5, or as a ratio like 0.61 to 0.39. Are these the ratios I should be using or do I need to convert something?
  15. Indeed comparisons are odious. But why not compare privately owned rocket companies building methalox engines? There is little else to compare them to...
  16. Nope. They play well together (obviously), but I don't think RO is dependent on the planet pack. You could play RO with any (realistically sized) solar system.
  17. I think that is correct ( on my phone now). 1. Do your other static packs show up? 2. If not, Is the main Kerbal Konstructs mod installed?
  18. Not sure about the air race, I don't use it. For an awesome harbor, check out the link in @SpannerMonkey(smce)'s sig.
  19. Hey @Sigma88, does this allow me to change sea level on planets, or is that something I'd have to do with Kopernicus?
  20. This is very cool @Sigma88! So this will let me load a static pack on a resized planet without the buildings spacing getting messed up right? Would this also let me move it to a new spot or different planet?
  21. Yeah, thats a problem. What happens if that happens if that hatch is blocked by another part.
