  1. Ohhh, I have this terrible dillema that I want to start a new save when I come back from a break tis'a vicious cycle
  2. Why did I read your post in a scottish accent? Anyways, welcome to the forums for real this time.
  3. Right, but the game feels a bit grindy at this point. I guess youŕe right but kind of weird to describe, I know I might sound like a whiny kid now but I guess that's just the way it is.
  4. So I recently started a new science game (first serious science game so far) and use the mod Kerbalism which adds in slick looking dtuff like life support, relay systems, radiation (keep yo' kerbals shielded), quality of life (kerbals can go insane after a while and can break certain parts in their rage) and malfunction. Playing with the slider at 75% science and so far I've made relay sats for Kerbin, the mun and minmus. (~4) Unmanned mun landings and scansatted the mun and minmus. Since the tech tree has changed a bit by this mod I just got the science bay jr. I also kind of feel like giving up this save because somehow I really don't like Minmus for some strange reason and by the time I arrive at minmus there will be tons of malfunctions making you question if those 30 minutes were worth it to set up a precise Minmus relay system. in general I havent gotten that far though I have put a lot of hours into KSP messing around. Anways here's the stuff I've done I've: 'Mastered' orbit 'Mastered' docking landed and returned from the mun landed and returned from Minmus landed on Duna landed on Ike I'd like to go to Eve with some kerbals but not sure how I'd get them off...
  5. What I mostly do is look for a relativity flat area and touchdown slower than 1 m/s, it stops you from bouncing.
  6. I've had crashes in the VAB in stock too, so I think it's save to say I was running out of memory. The reason I didn't try playing on 64 bit was because of my low end laptop would have no boost of performance on 64 bit but I think I was wrong. Quite surprised how well this laptop can handle KSP at high-ish settings (no real performance difference between lowest settings and mid high settings, so why not use mid high, right?) at a doable 20 Fps when lifting off, later 40 ish Fps. 2 GB RAM 2.1-ish GHz CPU 200-ish GB harddrive
  7. That's a clever use of wings, what did your launch vehicle look like?
  8. I haven't had any crashes when playing on 64 bit (Although I've only been playing on 64 bit for a couple of minutes) maybe it was just running out of memory. Mods: Chatterer Gravityturn (no UI though, kind of weird) Kerbal engineer Kerbalism (really awesome mod!) Mechjeb Nereid (final frontiers) PreciseNode ScanSat Triggertech (Kerbal alarm clock) Btw I'm using linux.
  9. When entering the vab and making a spaceship the game will crash almost every time when editing parts or when launching, please send help!
  10. Got tons of science on early mun missions, got the mun scanned and 3 probes landed, I think we can go on a manned mun mission soon™. Also snapped some nice mun pictures today (and yesterday) oh and I landed the Munar probe Verdun IIII (I know it should've been IV but being sleepy doesn't help) with 0.00 m/s left . http://imgur.com/a/YG0C2
  11. Nice stock looking mod, though I have some questions: 1. Do your relay sats need line of sight of the KSC 2. How do you know your relay system is working (so far I just launched my first probes but no solar panels yet = no relay system, but so far I haven't seen something like a line going from KSC to the probe like Antennarange and remotetech do) because if your working with a mod that uses LOS it'd be nice to see how your relay system is doing. 3. Jeb survived in space without electricity for a(n) (couple of) hour(s), why didn't he turn into a giant icicle?
  12. I accidentally opened KSP twice and got some error during the loading screen, this appeared: Kraken is that you?
  13. In the shadow of the moon sound track is mostly for completing tasks (pretty uplifting music) Requiem for soprano, (2001 space odyssey) for when things are looking very grim
  14. Yep, although I still frequent crashes it's better than nothing. (My mods are: Kerbalism, Kerbal engineer, kerbal alarm clock, final frontiers and chatterer).
  15. I believe that my grand grand father had a farm during the Dutch hunger winter, he hid meat (not sure if there were refugees on the farm) that would otherwise go to the germans and small things like delivering things late. A cross the street was a member of the NSB which is the dutch version of the NSDP. Apparently he lit the farm on fire once.
  16. KSP Version: 1.1 What Happens: Game crashes when leaving VAB/SPH Mods / Add-Ons: Kerbalism, chatterer, Final frontiers, Kerbal engineer, kerbal alarm clock Steps to Replicate: Open VAB/SPH build craft and launch it, after about 2 or 3 times the game will crash Result: Crashes game to desktop Fixes/Workarounds: Leave the VAB/SPH (Will still crash when launching from VAB/SPH, will try to launch from launchpad soon) Other Notes/Pictures/Log Files: VAB/SPH will be distorted before crash:
  17. Had the same problem a time ago on Linux, what I did was delete all mods, open KSP in 64 bit, first open other buildings like the tracking station, science lab etc hopefully the VAB will be ready to be clicked on (I clicked them from the map, not the icons). After that I tried the same with 32 bit, solved it for me.
  18. That's some pretty water, which mod did you use?
  19. Tragedy has struck the KNRI* (Koninklijk Nederlands Ruimtevaart Instituut**)(Royal Dutch Spaceflight Institute): Jebediah Kerman has been declared dead after a miscalculation: The pod was going just too fast to deploy the drogue chutes. Memorial here: http://imgur.com/a/CvC9Y
