More than 10 action groups?
Rocket In My Pocket replied to _Astra_'s topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
How about this mod that gives you 250 action groups? Action Groups Extended: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/67235-105dec2515-action-groups-extended-250-action-groups-in-flight-editing-now-kosremotetech/#comment-1041871 -
It's been a long time since I played KSP.
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Furious1964's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Not sure where you are running into trouble? Just download the latest version and stick it in your "GameData" folder if you are having problems with CKAN? -
Welcome to the forums @Bill5! I'm sure everyone admires you wanting to help others but we already have a whole area of the forum for this sort of thing: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/forum/16-gameplay-questions-and-tutorials/ That said, here's an awesome illustrated guide to docking/rendezvous for you I found floating around google image search a long time ago, big thanks to it's original creator...whomever he/she may be!

You could try removing the IVA/Kerbal portrait windows with this config file that @swjr-swis so kindly provided? Just copy paste the text under the spoiler into a notepad file, change the file extension ending to .cfg, then place it in your KSP "Gamedata" folder. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/129016-any-way-to-remove-animated-kerbal-portrait/ (Original post) Or if your not comfortable with all that mucking about, here's the actual .cfg file I made following aforementioned instructions. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3vx0ujwfkgp7euz/NoInternals.cfg?dl=0

[1.10.0] Kerbal Krash System (0.5.1) 2020-08-05
Rocket In My Pocket replied to EnzoMeertens's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Don't lose any sleep over it, doesn't seem to be affecting anyone but me lol! Even with this bug I still like your mod, the cloned Kerbals seem harmless enough really, they tend to disappear when loading another vessel/recovering the craft/reverting. I gotta admit though...I do get this pang of guilt every time I watch one float off into the void...- 735 replies

[1.10.0] Kerbal Krash System (0.5.1) 2020-08-05
Rocket In My Pocket replied to EnzoMeertens's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't have USI-LS or KIS, but I do have Snacks! which is similar to USI-LS I suppose? (They are both life support mods.) Never saw this bug before using KKS but I'm certainly not ruling out any of my other mods lol. Full list of mods in spoiler: Most of them are UI mods so I'm pretty sure it's got to be either the Raster Prop Monitors or Snacks Life Support that is either causing the bug or conflicting with KKS and causing the bug. I'll try to reproduce the bug by adding KKS back in and seeing what happens. Update: I can confirm that the bug reliably appears/disappears when adding/removing KKS from my "gamedata" folder. I'm thinking it might have something to do with Raster Prop Monitors since they change all the command pod IVA's? Picture under spoiler...be warned, it's a little...creepy lol. One of us... One of us... One of us...- 735 replies

[1.10.0] Kerbal Krash System (0.5.1) 2020-08-05
Rocket In My Pocket replied to EnzoMeertens's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ran into a really odd and slightly amusing bug while testing the newest version of this mod out. Every time I EVA a Kerbal and then re-enter the command pod it leaves a duplicate Kerbal holding onto the outside of the pod despite the original one being inside it now, this can be repeated over and over to make dozens of Kerbal clones, not only that but they can be controlled be switching to them! Has anyone else experienced this while using KKS? Would someone mind trying to reproduce it? Can't be 100% sure what's causing it as I use other mods, but it started directly after installing KKS and stopped after removing it so I suspect it's playing a part. Could be a conflict between mods, not sure...I can provide a list of mods I'm using if that'll help?- 735 replies

[1.10.0] Kerbal Krash System (0.5.1) 2020-08-05
Rocket In My Pocket replied to EnzoMeertens's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I like this idea, would make command pod damage more of a danger! Perhaps in addition to possibly being killed a Kerbal could be "Injured" and thus unable to perform EVA's due ton a broken leg/arm/whatever. A pilot could even lose his ability to use SAS and other advanced pilot abilities due to a concussion! (Basically reverting him to level 1 until you return him to Kerbin for medical treatment.)- 735 replies

Changed the font to Arial because Comic Sans makes baby jesus cry. As far as your question: Are you using any mods? There isn't an autopilot in the stock game. You should try posting your question in the "Modded Install" section of the forum along with details about all the mods you use. Best of luck!

Why are Vectors so wobbly?
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Foxster's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Try using Claw's stock bug fixes: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/87737-ksp-v105-stock-bug-fix-modules-release-v105a3-27-dec-15/ It adds tweakable gimbal speed and such. (As well as lots of other great fixes.) -
Did anyone actually read the article lol?

Use a free image upload site like Imgur, copy the "Direct Link" then click on the button in the bottom right that says "Insert other media" then click "Insert image from URL" then past that Direct Link into the field. As far as Remote Tech I have no clue since I don't use it, you might get more help in either the modded install technical support forum http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/forum/70-technical-support-modded-installs/, or the actual thread for that mod. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/75245-105-remotetech-v169-2015-11-10/ Best of luck!

I've played KSP on 4 different computers from low end to high end over the years and I've never had this problem even on my 10 year old laptop with an integrated card I used to use. Even when playing on lowest settings at barely 30 frames it never micro stuttered or hung up. (And yes I know what that looks like, I've had the same problem your describing with other games.) Must be specific to certain comps/gfx cards/drivers/etc..., hopefully someone else who has experienced this can help you out. The next major update will see KSP move to the newest version of Unity so possibly that will solve your problem? Welcome back and best of luck!

I'm having a bad time.
Rocket In My Pocket replied to KerBlam's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
For everyone speculating on why his parts look odd who might'ave missed this post: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/83696-105-stock-part-revamp-update-191/ -
Try putting the parachutes inside a service bay. Should keep them from producing drag. (I think...someone correct me if I'm wrong ) It doesn't look like it'd work but it does, except a few hiccups every now and then where it tells you they can't be deployed because they are stowed but all you have to do is close/open the doors real quick.

[1.10.0] Kerbal Krash System (0.5.1) 2020-08-05
Rocket In My Pocket replied to EnzoMeertens's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Tried it, really love it except the landing wheels look very wonky when struck and tend to get damaged very easily. Other parts can stretch out to ridiculous proportions at times as well, I can provide some screenies if it would help you. I've also seen parts go over 100% damaged, all the way up to 245% or something in one case. Is this intended or a bug? Can't wait to see this mod grow and get ironed out more, I'm amazed something like this can be added to the game by a modder, keep up the fantastic work man!- 735 replies

I'm having a bad time.
Rocket In My Pocket replied to KerBlam's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Here's an example of a 4th tier (It has a Mechjeb/KER module on it just fyi, should work fine without either.) rescue ship I whipped up real quick, just tested it and it'll reach a stable orbit of 80km AP/PE with about 1,300 m/s DV left. Should be enough to rescue some Kerbals in LKO. Craft File: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tucb66ycaze32y2/RescueExample1.craft?dl=0 Feel free to use it, change it, or just compare it to your own design! -
I'm having a bad time.
Rocket In My Pocket replied to KerBlam's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Any chance of uploading the .craft file? If you can't be bothered with an upload site, just open it with notepad and copy paste all the text here. Preferably under a spoiler tag because it's rather long. On a side note, I can't recommend KER mod enough, I have both that and Mechjeb and I just find KER is so much more user friendly and helpful when designing a ship. -

Rocket In My Pocket replied to Hotel26's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
The images aren't showing up properly. Looks like they are from your google drive? Try using Imgur in the future, it tends to play nice with the new forum. Here's the pic of the craft he's trying to post for anyone who wants to see it: -
"The outpost must be on wheels"
Rocket In My Pocket replied to rkman's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You are correct, from my understanding it has to be rover wheels, landing gear won't count. Which is silly... a wheel is a wheel. That group of contracts definitely needs to be clarified. -
Tourist can tweak parchute
Rocket In My Pocket replied to mellester's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Just did some testing with interesting results. A tourist can indeed tweak the Parachute settings. I tested several other tweakable parts with the following results: Landing gear: Brake authority can be changed. Control surface: Pitch/yaw/roll can all be toggled. Extendable thermal control system: Status can be seen but can't be deployed. Landing leg: Can't be right clicked, no status or changes available. Science parts/Antenna: Can be right clicked but not used. Air intake: Can see status but not use. Engine: Can tweak values but not turn on/off. Decoupler: Can't right click at all. Fuel tank: Can shut off or turn on flow. Command pod: Able to rename, turn off/on electricity/monoprop. Service bay: Not able to open/close. Light: No right click available. Battery: Can be shut off or turned on. RCS block: Can be tweaked. Solar panel: Status available. RCS/SAS systems: Can't be toggled on/off. Reaction wheel: Status shown, no tweaking. Throttle control: Works but no way to start engine. -
I went to minmus for th first time on my *new* rig
Rocket In My Pocket replied to 322997am's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'll never forget my first time rescuing a Kerbal from the Mun, My lander ended up on a very steep side slope after descent and rolled all the way down it, tearing off several RCS nozzles and some solar panels as well as one of the legs. When it finally came to a rest at the bottom I EVA'd Jeb and tried to get my bearings, I realized I was pretty damn far off course and the Kerbal I was here to rescue might now be out of my reach for my barely functioning lander (I wasn't even sure it would ever stand upright again, let alone make orbit.) So...Jeb started hoofing it. As I soared across the grey, crater pocked landscape milking my EVA pack for all it was worth I began to come near to my destination and soaring over the lip of a particularly large crater I finally sighted the command pod with the stranded Kerbal. My pack was almost completely out of fuel and I boarded the pod with Jeb to recharge his pack, as he and his new friend sat in the pod collecting themselves for the long perilous journey on foot back to the escape vehicle which had no guarantee of working...I stared out the view port across the lonely lunar surface, admiring the stars and thinking about what a long, long way we were from home. And I thought to myself... "What an amazing game this is." -
Doesnt Launch
Rocket In My Pocket replied to WaterPowerPlayz's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Are you talking about launching the game or launching a ship? If it's the game, are you using the Launcher or the KSP.exe file? The launcher can be buggy sometimes, so try the exe if that's the problem your talking about.
