  1. Welcome to the Club, @Watermel00n! Thanks for sharing your craft with us! I had fun flying your well balanced minimal assist "OneOscar". Definitely a must try for pilots looking to hone their raw skills to their sharpest abilities.
  2. Video is fun, but can be time consuming if you want more than a quick clip. It's definitely the best way to get the screeshot you want. Here's the tutorial from the request: I've been playing around with HD recording and rendering, and for the most part I'm still learning. My settings probably aren't optimal, but they've given me some results.
  3. Let me begin by saying I very much appreciate your enthusiasm. Let me follow up with an explanation of what a "OneOscar" is: A "OneOscar" Biplane is a craft that is at first rooted to, or contains at least one (and very rarely more) than one, "Oscar-B" fuel Tank. The flagship "OneOscar", the standardized FG model, is a Biplane with limited fuel capabilities. Variations of the vessel are usually centered around adaptations to the wing size and supplementary engine attachments. There have been a handful of "Misnomered" "OneOscar" vessels that had two oscars, or one xs methane tank, but none yet have had a cockpit, let alone a full cargo bay. There has been a trip to minimus that loaded a "OneOscar" FG into a cargo bay, but that was a delivery vessel. If that's what this is, it should be designated as a "OneOscar" DV (Delivery Vessel) Oscarliner. The main concerns I have with your vessel as is are: There is no "Oscar-B" Fuel tank in the parts list- this is only a disqualification for your submission if other concerns cannot be met The vessel is not a Biplane The vessel is not small The vessel does not have a grumble seat The vessel is not [stock] (a visual mod prevents me from loading your craft; It's a me problem, not a you problem- gimme some more screenshots if you update your post/craft etc) We thank you for your interest in the "OneOscar" Zero-G Club. We look forward to seeing you again!
  4. I'm Honored! I had some nice footage in that video from playing around with the camera. I didn't really know where to put the video since it had tutorial elements, but I felt it also had a complete arc to it. I've since uploaded a couple "focused" tutorials in the tutorial section: And this seems as good a place as any to say thanks by giving back to the community with another tutorial/demonstration of how I do what I do in OBS and Blender: Thank you all you great people!
  5. @GalileOh-No [Style Points Awarded] It's all about that interplanetary vibe...
  6. I have since upgraded to 60fps recordings and I've uninstalled a few games I don't play as often since February's release. OBS has a nice range of recording options and I've found a sweet spot for file sizes. Blender is maybe less intuitive than OBS, but any video editor should do the trick. Blender definitely has it's limitations for audio, and it lacks some built in transitions that dedicated video editors have. You can simulate any effect you want, but it takes a lot more work. I hear good things about DaVinci.
  7. I Couldn't wait to finish a Minimus Elcano before setting up for the next. Thanks to @GalileOh-No for the single dawn engine to keep attached to the surface. It works like a charm! Have a couple of screenshots and a link to the start of a Gilly Elcano: A link to a live stream if you're lucky enough to catch this while I'm online: Fly Safe!
  8. I should do this more often. I just dislike mods... I was so thrilled when "Enhanced Edition" had a Munar Launchpad. That's how I want to play... that's what I want from KSP2.
  9. Lead armchair astrophysicist... "Yes Boss"- all the kerbals
  10. I'm working my way through Minimus' hills, attempting to circumnavigate. I estimate It will take me around 8 sittings, but It's a really zen ride. I'm going right to Gilly when I'm done. I know exactly where this is going this week... but I have a new vehicle for that trip. Taking a break before continuing up the slopes. Despite Minimus' low gravity, it's still tricky to power up ludicrous inclines. I'm following the flats and paths of least resistance to reach my goal. I'll be continuing from here around 9pm PST
  11. Realizing that Mun doesn't have an atmosphere left the "OneOscar" Program Speechless... ... for approximately 30 seconds... "What if we have the only atmosphere?" "What if we have the only ocean?" "What if we can't get funding because all we do is biplanes!?!" [mild panic ensued} I reminded the Kerbals of the wise words of Commander Taggart: "Never Give up, Never Surrender" While the crew thought the general rhetoric to be a bit dramatic, they understood the sentiment. At the very least, many of them had become accustomed to the particular snacks afforded to the program for their minor success at keeping personal atmospheric crafts aloft. They decided that it was time to reveal- "GarageMonster". The team had started a secret underground racing league in the garage, totally unsanctioned by HQ, but totally fun. The prototype rover "GarageMonster" was a Socraticat design intended to be a personal vessel for ground based transport on a number of celestials- the program was approaching munar testing, but had apparently already been tested out extensively by myself and the camera crew. "Well" jumped in on the action with a 2 seater craft that ultimately took the top spot for the "Garage Tops" course. I, recieved a Crabe MK1 as a gift- It was hurriedly turned into a hot-rod-esque speed demon and It has since met no challenger. It remains the King of the Garage. Since the vessel had proven itself capable of managing uneven terrain and high speed involuntary redirects, HQ said it was time to go big or go home. Accounting reminded HQ that there wasn't enough funding to reach the biggest celestials, as simulations had shown, but there was enough for a munar trip near Kerbin. They shouted for the Mun, but again, accounting reminded HQ that Mun's gravity was more expensive, both in DV and legal liability. HQ sat with legal for hours debating whether or not they should continue on, despite the challenges... They ultimately put on their lemon powered thinking caps and settled on the new mission motto Minimus-Go Big That was it. Bill and Bob were off to Minimus to test Rovers, because there was no need for a biplane on a moon, despite many counterarguments made otherwise. Bill and Bob were meant to test the rover, dock it with the return vessel, and return to LKO. Frustrated by leading such an Ironically named mission, the pair decided to make the most of it by being the first members of the "OneOscar" Space Program to Circumnavigate Minimus. They are still rolling to this day...
  12. I went on an Elcano Yesterday- the start of one. I'm currently condensing the footage into something more manageable since I've recently been recording and setting up for HD. I really need to install that new SSD. Here's the progress so far: The craft is called "GarageMonster" It is the "OneOscar" Program's latest Publicity stunt to show it's not a "one-trick pony", just a One-Oscar B fuel tank pony. The Starting Point- The goal is to follow lowlands and flats as much as possible. The vehicle has some pilot assist countermeasures for Kraken attacks like this one. The ground likes to take the vessel sharply off-course (see my first bug report vid), but I've developed some SOP's for this vessel in preparation for this mission. The research began at the garage... Following the flats is easy enough. Next up is some highlands? There's definitely challenges ahead. This is the point I'll start from within an hour or two. I think I can get across these hills. Yesterday was promising. Follow me here to watch when I broadcast

  14. I started an Elcano. I was live. I'm dialing in my live settings. Craft is dialed in best I can figure for Early Access. This thing is a go! I'll continue with part 3 tomorrow. The trip so far is in my 'live' archive.
  15. @Dakota I am honored! @Well I am a big fan of this rover design! Loved your Moho screenshots too. I was just admiring those before seeing this. This community is so talented. There's always amazing content captured and built by everyone. Bravo to all!
  16. This one got me... rather than make a massive DV monster to eat the inclination and braking burns I decided to use infinite fuel. It was a monkey's paw sort of situation. Here's my submission after the result (Disclaimer- I had a lot of fun going through this challenge, despite the difficulties): Bugs Encountered: Couldn't plot course: I depleted fuel to make the craft lighter. It can escape Kerbin with empty tanks and infinite fuel. The game kept telling me there was no way to plot a course without fuel despite having set infinite fuel. My workaround was to use my "Freestyle Rendezvous" Method. You can watch it here- It works for any two orbits. Couldn't warp in certain situations: It would result in the main featured bug here- I would be teleported to the center of whatever body I was orbiting the moment I hit warp- even warp at its slowest. The first workaround was to try a shorter or slower warp- I seemed to have better luck with warps shorter than 1/2 an orbit. It happened again when warping from a slow velocity- the workaround was to aim for collision with MOHO at 1km/s. Once on that trajectory I was able to warp to the surface. My assumption is that Infinite-Fuel and empty tanks were the main logical mismatch setting the game off. Between those two bugs I spent 2 hours trying to get far enough to send a pinnicle "OneOscar" SG5WM Spider, AKA "Infinite-Fe" off of a cliff. Good fun. Much work. Capture footage was scrap except for these gems.
  17. I've been playing LSP2 Lite, it feels. I avoid most things interplanetary for regular play and have been focusing on smaller payload vehicles. Recently I've been trying more of the weeklys, but as others have mentioned, that really calls for the Kraken more often than not. When I get tired of wrestling the Kraken I just go back building and testing. I've made some pretty good rovers by now; I've made small and large SSTOs; I haven't built anything I intended to Rendezvous with outside of LKO (haven't done the Apollo weekly). I imagine my kerbals as a fledgling space program still learning to reach past Kerbin- we have many tools, yes. But we need better tools to move forward. The devs are my R&D and Admin building. So far the tech tree is still IRL locked- we need more testing to unlock it! I have made some "one-shot" missions to other planets, but I'd fool around for a while and then revert to an older save. Usually my "Day Zero" Save.
  18. I think there should be some racing challenges here. I can think of two.
  19. "...here are a few of the biggest issues we’re wrangling with right now: Vehicles in stable coasting orbits sometimes experience orbit instability/decay - Status: possible fix in progress" -Nate
