  1. AFAIK, that steam update happened to all games, it was a resolution change for store assets
  2. The only thing that we truly know is that the entire dev team was laid off. The KSP twitter account has said that they are still working on the game. But everything else indicates otherwise.
  3. Maybe they have the really fun multiplayer behind it : P
  4. I doubt we can access private betas, even if we get a password. I'd expect this, or other games to have been accessed like that by now
  5. I absolutely agree with you. The game just lack most of the charm the first one had. It's honestly amazing how disconnected I felt from the kerbals while playing this game. If one died it wasn't an issue since they would be replaced without any charge and without the risk of loosing the only pilot that had all the SAS controls. Also I feel like the career mode for ksp1 was straight up better, I like having to work with the limitations of the initial KSC, having to find a way to optimize the space ship to use 30 parts or having to eye ball a mun flyby. Meanwhile in ksp2 you can probably get a duna flyby with the initial parts tbh.
  6. Some people in the EU and Australia seemed to have gotten some success when asking for a refund despite being way above the maximum hours, thanks to several laws. If you live in any of this places it can't hurt to give it a try, citing several sources as proof that the game has ceased development and all the promises have been left in the dust. If you don't live in the EU or Australia or any place with decent consumer protection laws, then good luck lol
  7. Considering all the money T2 lost in this game and (probably) the terrible state of the game's code. I REALLY doubt anyone is picking up ksp2, at least from it's current state.
  8. I was ready for this since release day
  9. There wasn't any KERB posted, closest thing would be some posts from CMs saying goodbye.
  10. Wouldn't surprise me at all if T2 quietly sweeps ksp2 under the rug and never mentions it again
  11. When I first started going through the franchise I completed the ps2 games and ac7 with the f18 or some variant of it. For mp I do go with the f22 with the auto gun stuff
  12. I don't get why people are freaking out over lack of communication, I thought that was the norm with ksp2.
  13. Honestly this was all but expected seeing how the game was handled since it's release. It's ok having an early access game be buggy, unfinished and all of the stuff ksp2 was on initial release. What is not ok is to be as passive as the ksp2 team has been. The game took around a year to be somewhat playable and with the slow, scattered about updates. that's simply unacceptable in an early access title. I've purchased several early access games before(both subnauticas, stormworks, ravenfield....), and all of them had frequent and clear communication from the team, and most importantly UPDATES. They have beta branches that the players can boot up and see what the team has been working, see the damn game being made. But in KSP2's case, we first of all had to pay nearly full price for what was in essence a really, really, rough sketch of what IG envisioned. This combined with the slow updates and terrible communication from the team just brew the perfect storm to sink this ship. In my honest opinion, what killed ksp2 was mismanagement, simple as that, it showed the second the first early access trailer was showed. The game was supposed to be out 4 years ago fully complete, and here we are with science and maybe colonies at the end of the year, if the project doesn't go to the trash can in june. Welp, the hype around science was fun I guess.
  14. Once the whole transporting resources system and colony building is implemented. I guess I'll be waiting a while thought...
  15. Have you given FalconBMS a go? it's a mod for the original Falcon 4.0, but modernizes the game quite a lot. And the dynamic campaign it has is simply great. But yeah I agree that the older flightsims where better, they where simply grander in scale. IL2 and DCS look really nice and can be tons of fun. But man wouldn't it be nice to have large scale battles again.
  16. iirc they said there's a good chance that re-entry effects could come before the actual mechanic Small window : )
