[BETA] KSRSS 0.7 - Kerbin (or x2.5) sized RSS
OrbitalManeuvers replied to tony48's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've been using KSRSS for a few years and don't remember anything specifically about this, so I went and had a look. My cfg reading skills are minimal, but here's what it seems like to me, based on ksrss/patches/Stock_Antennae.cfg and KSRSS_DSNRange.cfg ... Looks to me like any part with a data transmitter automatically gets its strength multiplied by 12 when KSRSS is at Default scale (meaning 2.7x). Then if you have CBK (which I realize is a dependency) its DSN range gets set to a specific numbers, and I have no idea what they mean. But, it seems like this is taken care of for you? But if you're in blatant violation of the recommended install procedure (like me), and you don't have CBK, then what I do is the same (I think?) as the JNSQ advice that I last remember ... which is setting the DSN to 4x, but not touching the antenna setting. (Sorry this is off the top of my pointed head and I may not have some names right...)- 1,942 replies

Don't worry about a mod list - just upload your entire ksp.log file to a file sharing service. All your mod info is in there, plus other stuff a mod list wouldn't show. Also, you sorta didn't say what the issue you're having is ... a picture on Imgur plus your log file on google drive, would be the best.- 1,942 replies

One thing you can do immediately if not sooner, is get rid of this file: GameData\KerbinSideRemastered\MiniAVC.dll. MiniAVC is le dead and can cause issues with mod loading. You have a boatload of dragcube errors and nullrefs that I don't have, on parts that work fine for me. No idea what that's about. And I guess I'll just mention that it weirds me out to see the text "OneDrive" in the path to KSP. I hope your computer isn't trying to synchronize your KSP folder.

You have a GameData folder in your GameData folder. Whatever is in there is probably not healthy.

I don't think so? Here's what mine looks like on the ground. It's quite red due to the tufx profile I have active, but the atmo is definitely there. Hard to say how to fix it without knowing what you have installed/how it's installed. I have Eve 1.11.7.1, and Scatterer 0.838.0.0, and I have no other mods that provide configs for either, other than what comes with Reborn. And obviously TUFX was active here (this is Juhnu-Vintage). If you want to upload your ksp.log to a file sharing service like google drive, people around here might be able to help more.- 1,942 replies

Feel free to scroll up a little to my post on saturday for my thoughts.

sure, if the rest of the experience also mimics the standard document model ... which it absolutely does not.

How about this one ... how do I get a vessel from one workspace into another? edit: meh, ok, copy/paste. but that's not in the interface.

Do you feel super duper confident that you have: a) the latest copy of the Reborn branch of KSRSS from Gitlab, and not KSRSS 0.7? And the latest Kopernicus plus its two dependencies? This land offset thinger in your picture was a problem I've personally had before, too - but that was under 0.7, and not the Reborn branch. This is strictly personal opinion ( haha what isn't?) -- but, I think the way to install mods is to do the solar system first, before anything else. KSRSS can be installed without CBK or KSCSwitcher or KK, all of which affect space center buildings, iirc, so you could maybe try a fresh install with only KSRSS + Kop+MFI+H, and see what the terrain looks like.- 1,942 replies

KatnisssCapeCanaveral for KSRSS v1.0
OrbitalManeuvers replied to TruthfulGnome's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I just looked at the Github, and none of the instance files have Earth in them, as of 8 months ago. I don't think you have the latest files. There were commits after the 1.0 release, so I suggest using the green Code button to download. If you have trouble with where to put what you get, just holler here. https://github.com/Truthfulll/KatnisssCapeCanaveral-KSRSS In other news, the landmass appears pretty much the same for me, so if that's not right, then you're not alone ...- 124 replies

ah ok, interesting. are you able to grab the parts individually from the parts tray? if that causes problems too, I would guess you're missing a dependency or something is out of date. but yeah if you get a chance to post a link to your log like on google drive or something, someone should be able to spot if there's anything obvious going on. hopefully we can help get you fixed up bc this is a super cool mod

I thought I'd add my beef with the workspaces ... Here's the model we've all grown up with: you open a document you modify the document you click something labeled "save" and the document is permanently updated importantly, this "save" action presents no user interface, and requires no user interaction beyond the invocation of the action Open -> Modify -> Save is not the same thing as Open -> Modify -> Save As, and shouldn't be treated the same. Open -> Modify -> Save is not the same thing as New -> Modify -> Save, and shouldn't be treated the same. Follow me here: I click the Open toolbar button Ignoring the fact that what appears is utterly anti-user, I select what I think is the thing I want I add 4 RCS jets to my craft I click the Save toolbar button The UI from hell is presented This should silently save whatever the thing is that I loaded. I should not be prompted for anything - I literally just opened a thing, just save that same thing.
-
It does for me, I checked just now. If you want actual help, you'll need to provide more info. What does KSP show in the VAB when you try to open the craft file? An uncropped image of your screen in the VAB when you've tried to open the craft file would be helpful. Or your ksp.log. Or even just explain why you think it doesn't load? You've literally given zero information.

I'm confused ... your screenshot literally shows the setting is at Default, not Stock. Also, you should update your ModuleManager to 4.2.2- 1,942 replies

You've got something in your install that isn't coming through in a picture. Can you upload your ksp.log file to Google drive or somewhere and give a link. Maybe someone else has a better idea ... I gotta say that the first thing that jumped out at me was that the shuttle itself looks 10x bigger in your VAB than it does in mine.
