Well, the first thing I'll do is point you to the support thread, which contains information on what to do in order to get support. The next thing I'll do is to ask you for a list of the mods, as well as the log file from when you open the game and are unable to enter any buildings. A screenshot of the error you mentioned from Kerbalism would also be nice in us helping track down what the problem is.

SAT-ORB-1 Mission: FAILURE 1962-03-17 Having succeeded with multiple high altitude crewed flights, as well as a few attemptattempting sub-orbital, the CSP greenlights the first launch to put a satellite into orbit. The CSP decides upon an uncrewed capsule, primarily due to budget concerns with sending a crew up, leaving them there, and then bringing them home. The capsule used was a mocked version of the X-10, retrofitted with communications equipment to allow for commands to be sent for rocket firing and orbit corrections. Unfortunately, the communications equipment wasn't installed properly, and the wiring got fried during launch. The planned maneuver to get i to orbit fired early and on the wrong trajectory, sending the probe into the ground. The explosion was spectacular, and nothing was recoverable.

What I'd really like is to have dedicated shuttle craft that can be used to go from an Interstellar ship to the surface and back again. I'm not talking about lander cans, but actual shuttles. Like the Jupiter models from Lost In Space. USS Resolute Jupiter 2

@grandmastergoober As I indicated in my post above, we need the log file and screenshots of the craft in addition to the mod list. You haven't given us enough info to help you yet.

My uneducated guess is that there will be other gas planets out there beyond the Kerbol system, and that is just for stock once we get that far. I'm quite positive that we will see all kinds of planet mods for interstellar.

I think the lack of response boils down to two things. It's the holidays. You have an issue that nobody has any ideas on. The only other suggestion I have is to see if this replicates when running on another machine. Beyond that, you'd have to gebe a code monkey to dive into the software to find out why this happens.
