This is true. But the OP did specify that the antenna on his capsule is broken and needs repair, as well as stating that he is incapable of transmitting. Hence, the antenna needs to be repaired.

I don't care who has a copy of what version of anything, so long as I can legally purchase my own copy when it gets released. Until then, nothing matters.

Which is no different than using kickstarter or crowd-funding for something. It's a proven model to raise necessary funds to create/finish a product. Explain how this is good for everybody else, but bad for KSP.

@KerbinIsTheBest_20 For starters, I'll point you to the thread that you should read first before asking for help as it gives a lot of information about what you should include in your threads. Secondly, I'll ask you to please provide a list of ALL mods you have installed, as well as indicating how you installed them (through CKAN, through GitHub, through some other site, manually, etc.). Then, I'll ask to see a screen shot of the craft, both the in VAB and in flight, along with an explanation of who is flying the craft (is it being flown by a pilot or a drone core; if it's a Kerbal who isn't a pilot or a drone core, do you have antenna on the craft). Finally, and although it may not help much, a copy of the log file, which might show what is going on when you try to open the solar panels. One last pointer: If you can, please alter the thread title so that it gives at least a bit of a description what is happening. If you can't do that, please ask one of the mods (like @18Watt, @Vanamonde or @Gargamel) to change it for you.

You can transmit science data back to Kerbin. Your issue here is that the capsule you want to transmit from has a broken antenna, and therefore has no working communications devices on it. Even with the relay in orbit, the capsule you transmit from has to have working antenna on it. So, what are your options? Your best bet is to send up a rescue mission and bring Bill and the science data home. Alternatively, you could send up a fuel carrier and refuel the lander so it can get home. But if you do that, you'll want to send up an engineer to fix the antenna because Bill won't have SAS (and the craft may be unresponsive due to said lack of communication equipment).

Because we have no idea what is coming. Sure, we can speculate on what we'd like...but that is entirely different from the multitude of threads you have started asking how people are going to tackle some situation. We don't know what the game will be, or how it will react, or what situations will be there. Can't we just wait until 2/24 and ask the questions when we do know?

I'd like to ask why people keep asking "What are you going to do with x" or "How are you going to deal with y". The simple answer here is that nobody yet knows how anything is going to function, so asking how people are going to deal with it is pointless. Why? Why the constant threads asking about stuff we don't even know about yet? Why not wait until the game is out and then ask "How did you deal with this feature when you got your hands on the game"?
