  1. I would suggest making the Nose Cone as a separate part. I guess it's too late for that though.
  2. For the Orion SDHLV, there's already the BDB Kane stacked on top of an (empty if you're going for the replica, otherwise just put the LM inside) LM adapter in turn on top of an S-IVB so you could simply just make a BDB-sized engine mount for that. IDK if it's worth it though considering there's a whole lot of stuff for it that's already out there. The shuttle-Z is even easier: Use a fairing and cover up your (probably ugly-looking) payload with it.
  3. IDK if they'll respond. But there's really no use for a 5m crew cabin because 5m parts are best suited for launch vehicles.
  4. IRL most SRBs don't have these. The closest thing to a "shutdown assembly" would be blowout ports on Minuteman III's third stage. IIRC there was a plan to add similar feature on UA-1207s for Titan IIIM MOL flights. Most SRBs don't have them in real life. You either adjust the amount of propellant or shape your orbit differently to use a set amount of delta V. The shutdown on the BDB solids is a gameplay consideration to make them more useful, since I don't expect players to spend weeks/months planning a mission and shaping the trajectories haha. That makes sense. SRBs can't be shut down once turned on.
  5. Maybe it has to do with shutting down the engine once the burn is complete, as to avoid overshooting. Where is the Shutdown assembly?
  6. What is the file structure? What should be done is to put the KCHS and KCLV folders inside Gamedata/KIU. The KCHS is in its own separate folder in Gamedata. It isn’t nested inside Gamedata/KIU at all.
  7. Sounds cool. When will the Gaganyaan spacecraft be released?
  8. Installed the Human Spaceflight thing first, and then the launchers. Never installed the deep space probes at all.
  9. The Saturn IC is enough for a Mun mission or (presumably) Eve/Duna flyby, but NOT enough for an Eve/Duna orbit or Gilly/Ike landing. I learned that the hard way; every time I launched a Gilly Landing mission with a Saturn IC, it explodes and doesn't get off the pad. Haven't tested it with Duna.
  10. Well, I can just use a stock MK3 Command Pod in place of the cargo return capsule.
  11. I'd like to see a manned version of the return capsule.
  12. And I also did an MOL (well, without the laboratory) for an Eve flyby. Unfortunately, the Gemini spacecraft exploded during reentry and I had to cheat to get back. https://imgur.com/a/llqlcfA Unfortunately I don't think I have any images of my Gemini-Centaur mun flybys. Edit: I actually do: https://imgur.com/a/AjeID7x Also, how do I attach the Apollo Telescope mount to the S-IVB LM Adapter? I'm using it for a Gilly landing so that I don't have to take an entire S-IVB with me as well.
  13. I'm just gonna use a TweakScaled Mainsail instead.
  14. @Richmountain112 +1 Interesting idea worth considering - kindly make a suggestion here (https://github.com/zer0Kerbal/ScrapYard/issues/new?assignees=zer0Kerbal&labels=type%3A+request%2Ctype%3A+discussion&projects=&template=Feature_Request.yml&title=[Request]%3A+) It's no big issue for me. But for someone with Oh, Scrap, it could get worse (but not by much). And for Kerbal Construction Time, it could make missions much quicker if action groups can be edited between flights.
  15. I just use a castor size 1 decoupler for the SM separation. If you're going anywhere further than the Mun (or Eve, haven't tried it), always use a stock heat shield (unless you're using a spaceplane in which you can't have a dedicated heat shield)
  16. I do but I don't see an option to put LH2 in it because I also have SimpleFuelSwitch as well.
  17. The Ariane 5 main engine (Vulcain) uses HL2 but the fuel tank assigned to it uses LFO. Am I supposed to have Interstellar Fuel Switch or what?
