  1. 1. Being able to toggle the wobbliness. 2. Having stock part switches. (Either B9-ish or like in stock KSP1) 3. Wing fuel tanks 4. More realistic landing leg physics 5. Hydrogen boiling away in certain conditions (eg. without tank insulation, close to Kerbol) 6. Dynamic atmospheres (Winds) 7. Customizable engine plumes 8. Expandable KSC 9. Moar! procedural parts 10. Precise maneuver node controls
  2. I believe this is about community management. Tons of videos were released before EA release, which increased the level of hype as a consequence. However, since the initial release was dissapointing to many, people started to blame the KSP2 team for wasting their time making videos instead of making actual progress. I believe they don't want to make FS another EA release, so that's reasonable to me.
  3. Agreed, but it's sooo obviously a 3D mesh. I mean yeah, better than KSP1 of course, but I'd expect it to be more transparent and less low-cost-VFX-ish. Hope they change it in the future.
  4. But……If you do the math, then a Kerbal’s head is usually about 35cm in length and 25-30 for a human, which might be not that much smaller due to the fact that our heads are mostly round while Kerbals have long, cylindrical heads. A kerbal’s brain might take up less volume than a human’s. However, a smaller brain is not exactly the same as dumb since whales are no smarter than us. Indeed, Kerbals are likely to be about as smart as us given the pace of technological revolutions. Moving on, how do Kerbals reproduce themselves? We do by mixing sperms and eggs, but they might do it differently despite having at least two genders. What are your thoughts on this?
  5. As we know, Kerbals in the first game are justgreen humanoids, with no distinctive features between individuals to tell them apart other than gender. They are just simple, cartoonish characters. However, with more information about our little green Kerbals in KSP2 and more diversity, I believe now would be a perfect time to discuss about the biology of Kerbals. Below is one of thoeries about the species just for refrence: Kerbals are hybrids beteen animals and plants. I am not talking about the Pequeninos-ish "transform between plants and animals" hybrid, but animals that can ultilize chloroplast to generate energy, intergrating some plant-ness into their biology in the progress. This partially explains how they can live for years without eating: Just give them carbon oxide and light, and they can live on. What's your thoughts?
  6. Wow! I love all sorts pf LS mods and this is just amazing, finally do we have realistic life support systems! I will sure try this mod out and hopefully can bring me a pleasent playing experience!
  7. I have been playing with this mod since last year and I LOVE it. However, I noticed that you cannot download the latest version of this mod from Spacedock, which I believe is a little inconvenient for a Spacedock user like me. Could you maybe update the version?
  8. Not too much of a problem for me though. I also play KSP2 and like the new retro-future style. It’s like something from the 90s instead of the 60s in the first game. However, I do like the idea of an option to switch the style of the characters. If anyone in the development team is reading this, please consider adding this to the game!
  9. I love the terrain. It’s more realistic than anything I have ever seen in KSP1.
  10. Yes they are confirmed and will be in the game in the upcoming 0.1.5.0 update nest week or so. However, the model was in fact made months ago and was showed by Nate in one of his UpNates. It was sure a pity for me not to have this part in 0.1.3.0, and guess I will finally be able to play with it!
  11. Yes! Good to see progress being made. However, I noticed the atmosphere in the wobbly rockets video being a little bluer and foggier than I have seen before in the game myself. Is it just me or some changes are happening to Kerbin’s atmosphere? P.S.: It looks like Scatterer to me and I think it's because Blackrack has joined the team recently.
  12. It seems like the new science parts are heavier than the ones in the original game, but with more unified functions. Each one of them appears to have the science-collecting abilities, so we likely won’t have ships stacked with science parts anymore. What’s more, small vessels will likely have to be designed around research parts instead of the oppsite.
  13. Welcome newbie! KSP2 is a successor to KSP1 in which you can build rockets/planes and fly them. It has better graphics than the first game but less content in its current state.
  14. Yes! The game does have an atmospheric ray length scattering system, but for some reason the ray length of the sunflare stays unchanged regardless of the position of the star in the sky. Since we do know Scatterer has that very function, it'll be likely that we are going to enjoy beautiful red-coloured sunset in the game in the near future. Also, about the volumetrics, both systems used by EVE-Redux and KSP2 have their own flaws, and I'm hoping they can merge them together in some way to make them compliment each other, thus creating better (not necessarily more realistic) cloud effects for all of us to enjoy. P.S. Just checked out Reddit and finally saw some meaningful non-player-count posts! Always good to see the community becoming better.
  15. That's surely some huge news for me! I can't express just how excited and hyped I was when I first opened this post. Finally, finally was the release of the Science update officially announced! Plus, one reason keeping some of the players away from KSP2 are the lack of features. With the upcoming addon, I am expecting more people will re-start playing the game so we can hopefully get more high-quality contents soon! Edit: Just heard that Blackrack has been helping with KSP2's development recently. Sounds like good news to me for the team has been joined by another excellent modder.
  16. I feel the same. However, since the dedicated KSP section for the space creator is coming s∞n, we can expect for some more info!
  17. Anyways when will the KSP2 section be coming? I am eagerly waiting it to start and I believe most of us are feeling the same.
  18. Yes the sound effects are just not great. However, the simple fact that this livestream exists basically makes all the “they don’t want to livestream this because it will contain lies” posts nonsense because we are in fact getting something live from the event. Just realized that this very post has started the second page so let’s cheer!
  19. The event is livestreaming on YT! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okTmA2vckA8
  20. Well congrats because Dakota just confirmed that some decently-sized news is coming today! Let's hype!
  21. Yes and I am enjoying the game just like you do. In fact, I prefer KSP2 to KSP1's sandbox mode since it provides a much better experience (for me). However, the problem for me and some other players is just there's not much to be played with, in other words, lack of content. This has been what's keeping some players from playing the game again after finishing some ambitious missions and I hope more content is going to be in the game soon. Tomorrow's news will probably contain more information about upcoming features, so let's stay tuned for that! Also, judged by the *official* reactions to the tier map, I'd say we'll have a preview on the upcoming science update and probably a release date for that or the reentry update. Let's hype!
  22. Well congrats Anth! You have done some great job on bugfixing so that’s what you deserve for your hard work. As for the KERB delay, a bit dissapointing but nothing too much since we’ll hopefully get some big news this Saturday! Always good to have more news.
  23. Yes. I like this idea and data miners have found that doing science would take time, based on the hidden code lines in the files. This could change in the future, but I believe most of us, including you and me, want it to remain this way or get better. This a good idea for me as someone who has played Kerbalism and RP.
  24. So yeah, 0.1.5 will include new features and is officially confirmed to do so in the upcoming future. My guess is still reentry heating effects since it is the one that has been waited for months and the developers already have a visual effect waiting to be implemented into the game. Of course, if they count the unity update as the new feature or implements something else like CBT or new water physics, I won't be surprised. But still, rooting for reentry effects. Anyways, this does put more coal uranium into the boiler nuclear reactor so guess we can finally have enough power to re-engage the hype drive!
  25. Sorry, I forgot to mention that it was an engine update, not something brand new. Switching out what the game relies on completely and adopt it in order for it to run on another engine is always a tough job and will likely not happen to our dear game. However, Dakota does mention that new features will come in along with patch 5, which is somewhat a confirmation for reentry effects and/or CBT terrain generation and/or a new boyancy system. Since reentry is likely the most polished, my guess is that it will come with 0.1.5. Just a guess.
