Phoenix: a realistic Mars worldbuilding project
BA-Forums replied to BA-Forums's topic in The Lounge
After a bit of time not drawing, I have returned. Don’t ask about the pigeons that got melted to make this communications uplink work. this is a rough sketch so there are editing notes on it!- 23 replies

I love how it has that 1960s vibe to it! You did an excellent job with that! What if you did the space shuttle in a style like that next?

I think some of the criticisms are valid, but a lot of the hate that people have been spreading out and the controversies is politically charged (culture wars again, this and along with inflation is why we literally can’t have anything these days ) and very unwarranted, along with being not cool at all. All in all, I do think it could be a bit better too, plot wise. It has room for improvement.

I got my Team Yankee starter force and painted up one of the M1A1 Abrams in a (horrible?) NATO camo. I think it looks good, but it could be better. I have a LOT more to paint. -
Phoenix: a realistic Mars worldbuilding project

Okay. Let me explain. The sabatier reaction produces methane and water from a reaction of carbon dioxide and hydrogen at elevated temperatures of about 300-400 C, with a pressure of about 3 mpa around a nickel catalyst. this reaction is used on the life support systems on the ISS, specifically for making oxygen. It can also produce fuel on mars. the problem with the MDAV is that it would be optimal to have the entire vehicle launch off of mars. Using the sabatier reaction would be much more efficient, safer, and cheaper than importing fuel. It will refuel the MDAV while the crew stays there and does their work. we can also use it to make water and oxygen for the Hab. The oxygen generator and water generator need to be in an a closed system to prevent this: anyways that’s my ramble for today, I’m gonna go work on my miniatures.- 23 replies

Granted. You shoot a laser at Earth to take parts of it, and you then form the debris into your own planet, named Iaeptus. This kills every living thing on earth. I wish for an M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

Here is a Boeing 777 cake, but it was made by 2024 Boeing, so some parts are missing… can I get a duck cake from Bluey?

I found a CVC tanker helmet in my room while i was cleaning… I’ll post pics soon (and by soon I mean in a few hours) -
I am absolutely tired of stuff these days. So many people are arguing about stupid crap these days. EVERYTHING IS WAY TOO POLARIZED! We just HAVE to get into arguments and heated debates about the most random things. It’s gotten so bad that families are literally fighting with each each other over stuff like politics and whatever. The culture wars made things worse, and everyone HAS to pick a side! Mate, I don’t WANT to pick a side! Social media didn’t help either. It’s just literal brain rot at some times, arguments at another, and it is just ENDLESS. Sure there are great places online, like here, but everywhere else feels like a war zone sometimes, online and offline. We have done great things before, and we did that by working together. Look at Apollo! But even people deny that humanity has been to the Moon. I guess nothing is safe from pointless arguing. I guess what I’m saying is… 2024 sucks. And if I’m honest, I just wanna paint miniatures and watch Bluey. I think I might go do that now.
