Yes, landing gear that is placed at any angle other than perpendicular to the ground will try to pull to one side or the other. Also, if the craft is heavy enough to flex under its own weight so that the gear tilts will have the same problem.
-
Huh. Well, fixed now. \o/

No backsies. goldenpeach

I don't see a problem in that thread. What's the issue?
-
I'm still on W7, and Imgur has been buggier than usual lately.
-
Wrong time zone. Supernovy.

What kind of trouble are you having with the wheels?
-
One uses a hohman transfer to travel between bodies which will have moved a considerable proportion of their orbit during the flight time. But in the time it would take a spacecraft to travel between Sol and Alpha Centauri, the two stars will barely have moved, on galactic rotation time scales. Also, the distance between the two stars is so small in relation to their distance to the galactic center-of-mass that their orbital paths are nearly parallel to each other anyway. There's just no need to do anything fancier than fly straight there.

Stratzenblitz75, I click-dragged to highlight the vid, then hit delete. Seemed to do the job for you.

Source of crash?
Vanamonde replied to Baal_Bubba_Dale's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I'm sorry, Baal_Bubba_Dale, but we've had to block Mediafire use on this forum. Please use another file hosting site for your log. -
Everything is turning into an argument today. Please keep the posts on-topic, and not so antagonistic.

Poll: What Human Year Equivalent is Career Year 0?
Vanamonde replied to inigma's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What is even happening in this thread? Sometimes I am astounded at the way the most innocent of topics can turn into arguments and insults on the internet. People, either discuss the topic, or if it doesn't interest you, skip to the next thread. Nobody benefits from people trying to find hidden intentions behind the things other forum members find interesting enough to talk about, and there's certainly no need to insult each other over it. Watch the language and watch the tempers, please. -
Modding question moved to the modding subforum.

Numerous threads on the same subject have been merged into this master thread.

Merged into the master thread to keep all the info in one place.
-
The stuff that forces us to ban certain topics is way, WAY, WAY nastier than anything you've seen in the is-X-cheating threads, which should tell you how bad something has to get before we ban it.
-
If your comment was not mocking the thread, my comment was not aimed at you. And while threads like this have been closed in the past, it was because arguments broke out in them, or that sort of problem. The subject matter itself is not against any forum rules, so there's been no reason to close this one. Please keep it that way.
-
Folks, even if a thread is not of interest to you, please don't mock it. We don't want to create a climate in which people are reluctant to post because they're afraid they will be made fun of.

There is a forum sub-section for discussions of mods, and your thread has been moved to it.

What is the best space station desing?
Vanamonde replied to Gauga159's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Any time you have more than one module, that adds at least 2 to total part count: a docking ring on each module. Also, you will need to have a command part, power supply, regular fuel, an engine, RCS thrusters, and an RCS tank either on each module itself, or on a delivery ship. I have taken the latter approach with my modular stations, having a stage deliver the module and then de-orbit itself for recovery. While that method shaves considerably off of the station's own part count, keep in mind that all those parts still add to lag while present, making docking a difficult process if your PC isn't the fastest. In short, I build in modules because it's fun, but in practical terms, stick to a single launch whenever you can. -
Your question has been moved to modded support, since it is not a gameplay issue. Good luck with it.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. We have many Canadians and a few model rocketers already, so you will find plenty of friends.
