Well.... dang
-
Down range weather has the be acceptable for aborts.
-
Did i understand there's a thirty minute hold? Or just the potential for one? Nevermind... a 30 minute hold will bump it to saturday
-
So glad I took the vacation day off work. I would kick myself if I missed this, launch or scrub.
-
LES armed!
-
They basically said "Astronauts, please stay in your seats until second stage separation". Please return your tray tables to their upright positions
-
Go for fueling!
-
I was under the impression that the major weather decision was made pre-fueling at t-45m. Of course a lightning strike or winds could scrub later, but if they fuel the craft, it's most likely going to go re weather.
-
Pretty sure that was an armored van with a machine gun in a turret on top.
-
Biggest live stream of his channel's career, and he's absolutely dropped the ball. Horrible planning and presentation.
-
That said, I am watching Tim's stream, who else is doing a good cast?
-
Least he doesn't wear that spacesuit anymore

I forget details, but it's really simple, If you were to write a spreadsheet into a text file, it would be each coloumn is deliminated by commas, and a new line means a new row. Very very easy to parse into a spread sheet. But if you want conditional formatting, it would probably easiest to import it into one sheet/page, then have a script that sets the conditional formatting on a second sheet/page. I do something very similar for woodturning. I tell the spreadsheet the diameter of the vase I want to make at each increment along it's length, and the script spits out the size of the trapezoids I have to cut to make the rings, and then draws a picture of the vase by adjusting the formatting on a second page. I'm really curious as to how this project turns out. Betcha there's a lot of resources on the net for home brew radio telescopes.

in-game controls and spaceship parts
Gargamel replied to king of nowhere's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
There's a technique for doing it in stock, I've never done it, so I can't say. I just use the mod I listed to recover the dumb stages that have no control. -
Thank you squad and other developers!

in-game controls and spaceship parts
Gargamel replied to king of nowhere's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Once any part that doesn't have a control pod on it goes out of physics range, it gets deleted if it is in atmosphere. You can't recover stages in the stock game (not easily at least). If you simply want to offset costs, and simulate recovery of remotely landed vessels/stages, the mod Stage Recovery works pretty great for that. There are other mods that that work too. -
How can I save my rockets?
Gargamel replied to KrisKelvin's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The vast majority of users here have purchased the game through steam. If you only look at tech support issues to see reliability, then of course you'll see nothing but problems. But that is not the topic of this conversation. -
So guys, what are the chances of this thing going off on time? I'm considering taking a vacation day to watch, but if it gets delayed....
-
CKAN works with KSP, regardless of where you got it from.
