  1. As the thread was in is about space flight, this has been moved to a more appropriate thread in the lounge.
  2. Congrats on the release! Locking per request. If that’s not what you intended, re-report this.
  3. Thread moved to Kerbal Network.
  4. This was doable with the Arduino/Pi mods people had. But yeah, it's single screen. We'll see how it goes.
  5. "How can I fly to Leith as part of the Kerbal space programs" Welcome to the KSP forums, as per our Community Guidelines, all posts outside of the international forums must be in clear English, or include a translation. Google translate or the like will suffice. Also, your question has been moved to Game Play Questions.
  6. That's a different thread, let's stay on the topic of this thread please.
  7. Here's the thing... I live in a rural area. Most places have some sort of flock of 'domestic bird' on their property, either chickens, ducks, geese, or turkeys. The turkeys are fenced in, but the rest are pretty much free range, and there's usually a cooler or box in the yard offering fresh eggs for sale. The ducks and geese will pretty much either graze in the fields or swim in the ponds, but the chickens run every where. But they never cross the road. Or at least I've never seen one try, or get hit. They'll line up on the edge of the road, and just walk up and down the shoulders, but never attempt to cross. It's really odd, makes me wonder where the origins of the joke came from. Maybe we could have the chickens teach the deer proper roadside etiquette, help reduce accidents.
  8. You must remember though, it's Kerbal Space Program. It's primary focus has always been spaceflight, with aero flight being a necessary spinoff of that. KSP has always had a simplified systems simulation; you throttle up, engines go vroom. No need to manage various aspects of each engine. Even including all action groups, the number of available controls has been rather limited when you compare it to a true flight sim. There have been mods that allow for custom Arduino control boxes, with readouts and navballs, for a decade now. You could already build a full mockup of..... something... already, it would just be quite limited in the number of controls that do anything. So, yeah, the ability to do a full sim rig should be there, and probably a lot easier than KSP 1, but I wouldn't expect to be able to do much more than a HOTAS setup with a small custom box of toggles and things that light up.
  9. Moved to GamePlay Questions. But the real answer to the question is, which one will you enjoy first? They're all viable options. Do one.... then do another.... and another...
  10. I know. They just come bursting out of the forest, not bothering to look. The one I hit didn't do any damage, he just went spinning off into the brush. The two that hit me... One on each rear quarter panel. They hit me so hard they each left a dent. The one that did the worst damage, snapping turtle. Came over a rise in the road, and this sucker was sitting there. Took a good portion of my lower bumper off, and left some marks on the undercarriage. I stopped as quickly as I could, as it was spinning around in the middle of the road. Once he settled, looked around, and sprinted off into the brush. Never knew those guys could run so fast. Then there was the Turmooose. College roommate is riding shotgun, we're up in the Adirondacks near school, we were talking about how much it would suck to hit a moose (they are up there). Come around a corner, something in the road. It's a turkey. He yells out "Oh Crap! Moose!" That surprised me more than the bird, and I looked over at him confused. Hit the bird. He later said he knew it was a turkey, but yelled out moose before he could stop himself.
  11. Ahh yes.. the beautiful Invision mobile interface. Yeah, we pass on to Invision quite a number of mobile bugs regularly. The good news is.... you don't need to do the captcha again!
  12. Yeah... no.... I can still hear those. I have horrible low range hearing, but great high range. I can hear most dog whistles. *shrug* We only have coyotes here, and while I have personally seen one (I assume the pack was on it's way) take down a deer (in a semi suburban neighborhood too), I don't think they'll be the issue, more like hunting season.
  13. They'd do a lot better if they evolved blinking warning lights on their heads, and a sense of physics. I hit three in a year 2 years ago. Or more accurately, I hit one, and two of them ran into me... which is quite a feat considering I was doing 70mph each time.
  14. What $60? You haven't paid a penny yet. Of course there's no growth with such a small sample size, ~1 year after closure of development of KSP 1. I've been a member of multiple single topic forums, moderator on a few, and this one is one of the more lively. Of course we could cherry pick a long list of forums that prove me wrong, but we could also cherry pick a long list of forums that prove me right. The KSP community is no need of "building". It's built. How would that be a joke? The point of April fools day is to have some humor. If they offered up a Q&A and then yanked it, it would just upset people. You ask on one hand to "build the community" then request something that would fracture it even more on the other. Nobody has paid a penny for KSP2. The dev team doesn't "owe" anybody anything. When they do offer up stuff, they get yelled at for more and more often. I frankly don't blame them for keeping their heads down, and ya know, actually working on the project rather than wasting time doing media updates.
  15. Probably, but they don't also make my head explode reading the feed.
  16. Welcome to the Forums @redglyph. We're sorry you encountered some issues, but this is the first we've heard of it. We'll take a look.
  17. If we'd like to start a deep discussion on ansibles and entanglement, we can take it over to the S&S sub. But for now, lets focus on the tracking center.
  18. Are you issuing a forum challenge, or just a request to see if anybody can build something like this? If it's a challenge, then we can move this over to the Challenges sub forum, but the usual etiquette is to have completed, or be attempting, the challenge yourself.
  19. Moved to Welcome Aboard. And as such, welcome to our Forums @jameslau832!! The best way to play, would be to purchase a copy of the game from your preferred online store. There are frequent sales, so finding it at a good price isn't difficult.
  20. AFAIK, that's not exactly true. The idea was originally thought up by the two brothers, but at least one of them worked for SQUAD at the time, and IIRC, they (SQUAD) were a marketing app developer based out of Mexico City, so PC games weren't really in their wheelhouse. Harvester was able to convince SQUAD to start production of the game, and enough interest in the Alpha led them to continue development. They've since changed their focus from marketing, as I've been reminded on occasion. This demand for more info baffles me. I know a lot of fans of the game want more details, but to what end? It's like seeing a bunch of trailers for a movie, and when you do finally see the movie, you realize they gave away all the cool stuff in the trailers, and a lot of the enjoyment of seeing the actual end product is tarnished. To me, they've released exactly the right amount of info so far, I'll be enjoying the experience of discovering all the new stuff through gameplay, not through tweets or Youtube videos. They seem to be producing a AAA level game, but for a single A level size audience. This is a very niche game, and the vast majority of the audience will already be aware of it's upcoming release, there's no reason to waste a lot of money on a huge marketing campaign. The return on investment on such a campaign probably won't lead to enough increased sales to justify it. Build the community? *Looks around* This is a thriving forum ~12 years after it's creation. The sub reddit is also quite strong. They have a good twitter following. I don't visit the data stealing mega corp sites, so I'm not sure how they're doing there, but I would imagine it's equally good. They've hired on a number of new Community Managers in the very recent past to do just this, "build the community". There really isn't more they can really be doing here, unless you want them to go the Madden route, with a huge marketing campaign and zero updates to the latest game. I think you need to look a lot closer. That wasn't PD at all. That was a joke I executed on my own to actually poke fun at the devs a bit, with their permission of course. There was an official joke they released. I know you're very new to the community here, so you can't be expected to remember all the old ones, but the forums and KSP have a long history of "sensible chuckle" jokes over the years, and to be honest, the list of new ideas is drawing quite thin. I though PD pulled off a good one this year, actually doing a fairly deep dive into the community lore. It showed me they are aware of the community, what it does, where it's been, and where it's going. I don't work for SQUAD/Intercept/PD etc, I'm just a moderator. I'm a forum member first, and my job as a moderator is to protect the community we have. I'll be the first criticize the CM's if they're doing something wrong, and I have in the past (which I won't go into details about, but it's a gripe the community as a whole has had for many years, and I think they got the message). But honestly, given the nature of what's happened on the corporate end of development, I think they're doing a fine job of teasing just enough info to get us excited.
  21. No, everything but the main title is royalty free music by Kevin McCloud (I misspelled that I think). If all you are streaming is KSP, then there isn't a valid copyright claim in there. This is their copyright bot going rogue, which seems to be the industry norm.
