Thought about streaming, but I've got a train that comes every 15 minutes So noise would be a problem.

Discord AMA 2 - Shana Markham - SUBMIT QUESTIONS HERE
Heretic391 replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in KSP2 Discussion
1. Is there a part goal that you would like to achieve for a colony. I.e up to 500ish parts? 2. Would there be any clear benefit of having a colony? I.e spawning new kerbals or having that as an additional launch base assuming resources are there. 3. Will fuel tanks in wings be a thing? This would be more realistic. Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere. Thank you in advance! -
Would love that, but is it confirmed that we will be getting propellers in KSP 2?

It looked like Duna here when we had that bad bushfire in 2020. -

Indeed it does -
Damn nice job! We can make a lovely artwork out of this bug

Asymmetric aircraft's are fascinating so build an ssto out of it! I intend to try this myself one day as it's interesting. Noob level: Make it fly. Bob level: Create an orbit around Kerbin. Jeb level: Land on the Mun. Val level: Land on the Mun then return to Kerbin. Here is a real life assymetric airplane for reference Blohm & Voss BV 141.

If you clone a part in your workplace that has struts and then you click on the strut on your clone, it appears to be "connected" to the original. I can provide a .json if required. It's easy to reproduce.

It also depends on whether some of it has been developed already or not. There are certain parts for other things that have been made or at least the design/shape is done such as the colony fuel factories that was shown in feb 2021 as part of show and tell or those awesome nuclear farting rocket engines (excited to use these, they look so derpy). so the time to officially implement these could be less than we expect. Will see what Wednesdays update has install for us as a baseline for how fast things are fixed / introduced compared to the previous update. However, its always better to under promise and over deliver.

Weekly Challenge #7 - Land on Eve

Interesting design! The colour combination works well too. -
Here is a quick 'successful' demonstration of the Kangaroo on Duna. Was working on this for the weekly challenge, however the Kangaroo failed me and I couldn't pass the challenge. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-2dFGhEmy6I Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ua2ptbtytw70h41/Kangaroo+v6.json/file

This is the best I could do with the available parts but it was a fun build to do. The back engine part isn't the best, I've hidden that new large nuclear engine behind the whiplash engine. Tried adding a large cover but makes the ship look a little off compared to the cartoon version. Had some fuel leftover too so that's a good sign. Video will be released this weekend. Have fun! Download the Futurama Planet Express Ship SSTO here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/cvp2hfeph4qxdfo/Futurama+v8.json/file This is how it looks once opened. Somewhat cool looking in my opinion.

Cheat...Launch From Space (Skip the Launchpad!)
Heretic391 replied to Heretic391's topic in KSP2 Discussion
You can also go inside of Kerbin by using a negative value. However its full of water and lots of darkness. Was hoping gravity would increase our speed but there is too much resistance. -
STEPS 1. Attach a launch clamp to your rocket. 2. In your .json craft file. Modify the offsetToGround file value to be around 999999 (you can chose how high to go but don't go too high, your game will crash). 3. Save then launch like normal. p.s. hope this ain't breaking some rules, if it is ill take this post down.

Looks dangerous, but can it swim?

Automatic Rocket to Orbit aka The Lazy Rocketeer Challange Create a rocket designed to take you to orbit around Kerbin with no button pressing aside from launch button of course. Possible way this could work: 1. Perhaps the rocket can have more mass on one side so that it steadily adjusts itself. 2. Trickery around where fuel is used on the craft could help. 3. Maybe a small slow burning rocket on one side of the craft can slowly give you the dv to create an orbit? Maybe an ion engine in the side....damn this seems easy now with ions. Rules: 1. You can press spacebar only once to launch! 2. You're not allowed to control your craft! 3. Have fun! 4. Refer to rule 3. I intend to try this myself once I get a chance for YouTube If time allows!
