@micha Again, thanx for the quick updates And again, KSP.log and MADLAD give NO indications of issues. (other than improperly sized textures in DPAI) One thing tho, DPAI is NOT remembering settings changes between game restarts. Every time I restart the game, the DPAI settings are back to the default. ALL the settings... Even the GUI size setting. Also, theres an old alternate texture pack that was made by someone for DPAI for KSP 1.0.5, that seems to still work with it, too Its under a WTFPL Public License, so I'm including a link here, in case @NavyFish wants to add it to the OP, or if anyone else wants to use it. I dont know who or where it came from (might be buried in a post in this thread, sorry, i dont have time right nao to check), so if anyone knows who posted it/source link, please let me know. Docking Port Alignment Indicator- Texture Pack v0.2 (1.0.5)

Github (or similar) is great for this... Even if youre not a coder, or your mod is even just a parts-only mod... Plus, if your mod is open source, its a great way to ensure your source model/texture etc files are available for someone else to pick up and run with, even if you ever leave the KSP community ... vOv

Well, I didnt fully test the mod... basically just started up my dev install, and poked around the UI/settings... Good news is... no apparent peeps in the KSP.log from DPAI, and also a clean bill of health from MADLAD Better news is... icon shows up in stock toolbar by default... and when you *un*check the "Always show in stock toolbar" setting, the icon immediately switches to (*and is immediately visible*) in the (Blizzy) Toolbar ... :O ... you dont even have to mess with the Toolbar settings to make it visible... NOICE!! ... Thanx Micha, for the sorcery and the quick update

Mod that has a docking port adapter docking port?
Stone Blue replied to paul23's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Theres: Universal Docking Ports -have their own models/textures and Multiports -which re-use stock models/textures. This one is just a collection of simple part cfg files, so its a *small* mod, easily modified/customized, and should work in just about *any* version of KSP. I can verify this one works in 1.7.3 and 1.8.1. It can be easily whitelisted so it can be used with ReStock, too. (not sure about Ven's Revamp, tho) -
Can confirm *I'm* not seeing the icon on the Main menu, on English Windows 8.1 and Eng. KSP 1.8.1. Just wanted to ask either @NavyFish or @micha , if it might be feasable to change DPAI toolbar icon from *defaulting* to Blizzy's Toolbar, and defaulting to the stock toolbar instead? I just installed DPAI, and spent around 15mins wondering and troubleshooting why i wasnt seeing the DPAI toolbar icon. I *do* have Toolbar Controller installed, and I mistakenly *assumed* DPAI had TC support... (At first, when LGG developed TC and made it a hard dependency for SOOOO many mods, I was not happy... But now that its basically a requirement for literally a few hundred mods, and it doesnt seem so bad itself, its easy to forget that there *are* still many moar mods that *dont* use it ) So, anyway, I couldnt understand why DPAI wasnt showing in stock toolbar, or in the TC checkbox listing... So I then went to the DPAI OP, only to read that, yes, it *defaults* to (Blizzy's) Toolbar mod when installed... :derp: ... well, you have to then go into the Toolbar settings to set visible buttons, and lo & behold, there it was... meaning you have to actually manually set it to show up on Blizzys... Anyway, I'm thinking with LGG adopting Blizzy's, and moar wide-spread use of TC, making the default for DPAI to the *stock* toolbar, may head off much head scratching, and many future unecessary posts in this thread from peeps wondering where the icon is when they first install it, if they already have Toolbar installed... vOv Its quicker & easier to *find*, and switch the icon from stock to Toolbar, than Toolbar to stock... If either of you think this might be worth looking at Sometime™, I can log a feature request issue on the repo as a reminder...?? vOv

[1.9.1+] OPT Legacy 3.1.2 | Reconfig 3.4 [Apr 20, 2021]
Stone Blue replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Interesting... in *my* game, the node direction indicator line stays in the same location above the node, no matter *what* size the node is... vOv I could *swear* i also remember there was a way to increase the length and thickness of that indicator, in a long ago version... ... vOv -

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Stone Blue replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I know many devs dont even list, arent specific, or are hit-or-miss with updating versioning in their thread titles, but rest assured, i am 110% sure that as Soon™ as you see this: [1.7.3-2 + Backports] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech become this: [1.8.1-1] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech or this: [1.9.0-1 + Backports] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech in the thread title, then that will be literally when the Kop update *everyone* has been impatiently waiting, drops, and is hot off the presses... Until you see *that* change, no need to worry you missed an update, or to post asking/looking for/asking When™ its coming. (And I'm not just picking you out specifically, @xman1 , ... this post is for all to take note of ) -
[Linux] [GoG] Download old version
Stone Blue replied to Thomot512's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Ya... one reason i am glad I bought it on the KSP Store. I had *every* .zip for *all three* OS's, from ~0.17 to 1.8.1... Started running out of HDD space, so I dumped all the "interim" releases, and just kept the final minor releases of each major... And at least the KSP Store still has all the final minors up for all three OS's, from 1.0.5 to 1.8.1, that can still be downloaded... -
So I came across a couple olddddd mods that were pretty simple, and added methods of showing various info for craft in the Tracking Station scene, which are selected in the craft list. Wondering if there are any other, moar up-to-date mods that do similar, that I just cant think of... vOv Anyway, i installed these two mods (seperately, to eliminate any conflicts between them), in 1.8.1. The game loads fine, and while one seemingly fully works (surprisingly...(it's from 1.1.2, but with an unofficial 1.2.2 recompile by RealGecko that I used)), the other is only partially working (not surprising...it's from 0.25 ). If no one suggests any other mods that do similar, I may take a stab at simple recompiles of them for 1.8.1/1.7.3... vOv @DMagic tagging you, since aboot the only other similar mod i could find w/Google, was Tracking Station Evolved, I thought i would ask if the functionality these two mods provide, would be something you may consider Sometime™ in the future, looking at to maybe add to TSE, or would they be too out-of-scope? vOv

Per the After Kerbin install instructions, there are several dependency mods which are also installed, seperately. 1 - Download After Kerbin (Hopefully you've done that, since you're reading this!) 2 - Download and install Kopernicus - https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/releases/download/release-1.7.3-2/Kopernicus-1.7.3-2.zip 3 - Download and install CTTP - https://github.com/Galileo88/Community-Terrain-Texture-Pack/releases/download/1.0.4/CTTP.v1.0.4.zip 4 - Download and install Scatterer - https://github.com/LGhassen/Scatterer/releases/download/0.052/Scatterer0.052.zip 5 - Download and install EVE - https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases/download/EVE-1.4.2-2/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-1.4.2.2.zip 6 - Download and install Sigma Replacements - Skybox - https://github.com/Sigma88/Sigma-Replacements/releases/download/B_v0.4.0/Sigma-Replacements_SkyBox.v0.4.0.zip To install After Kerbin, simply drag the After Kerbin folder to your GameData folder. Any issues? Contact me on discord Gameslinx#0544, or the After Kerbin forum post. I imagine you still have #6 installed. If you dont have *any* other Sigma mods you are using, but *only* Sigma Replacements - Skybox, you can delete the /Sigma folder which should solve your issue. If you *do* have other Sigma mods installed that you want to keep, *and* nothing else that changes the skybox, delete the /Sigma/Replacements/Skybox folder *only*

totm may 2020 [1.8.1] Real Exoplanets v0.9.6 [04/03/2020]
Stone Blue replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I just grabbed 0.9 from SpaceDock and its fine. I extracted the file with no issues, and also had 7Zip test it ... vOv Only took me ~2 mins to download it, tho... I would guess the issue is with somewhere along @Bonbo's connection to SD... or *possibly*, SD may possibly have an issue with timeouts for peeps on slow/sketchy connections and trying to download *large* files... vOv .. As to what happened if the dropbox download was installed... idk ... vOv just sayin it definatley doesnt seem to be an issue with the file on SD. (unless you missed something during the release packaging, Andrew ) I didnt actually install and run the mod.- 353 replies

Just wondering what your objections to it are? It doesnt really do anything, I think, *unless* the Toolbar mod is also installed... and *lots* of people seem to really want to use that mod, (i know *I*, REQUIRE it )... The only real justified objections I can see people having are, 1) another seperate dependency to install, for those who manually install mods, and 2) the Toolbar Controller button is always shown, even when Toolbar is *not* installed... vOv

The Trouble with the Unity upgrade
Stone Blue replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I hope you dont mean Kopernicus... That mod has not been updated for 1.8.+, which means *any* planet, system, or other mod that depends on it will not work in 1.8.+, and most likely cause ALL kinds of issues... Thats why Kop is version locked: because it can wreak havoc in an incompatable KSP version install Plus, i vaguely remember some mod cauisng that solar panel issue, and I also seem to feel like it it *was* a Kopernicus issue? vOv -
@Trufiadok I finally finished up my suggested changes for restructuring and shrinking IKRC, and just created a PR HERE .Please make sure to read what all I did in the SBchanges.txt file. Also, with both of us seemingly pretty new to how Github works, I suggest creating a new branch on your repo, and commiting my PR there, instead of directly to your master branch. I'm not able to get the IR UI to show in-game, and am getting errors and nullrefs from IKRC/IR... Most likely due to me re-arranging and renaming everything. vOv I suggest fully testing this before commiting anything to your master. Hopefully, people who use IKRC, and who may be able and knowledgeable in coding, can try out the PR and give some feedback. The /GameData and /Subassemblies folders are all that should be in a final release package for people to install. Unzipped folder size is ~38.4MB, much improved. .Zip file is only 16MB (Thats including the /MagicSmokeIndustries *and* the /InfernalRoboticsMod folders, however) One important thing to note: I couldnt find the source files for the Ca2LeeCam and WireSnareLock plugins. Public hosting of source files for all plugins are actually in the forum rules for releasing add-ons/mods. Thanx for consideration of accepting anything in the PR. If any of the changes arent to your liking, thats fine. Anyone wanting to test this release in a *fresh* install of KSP (dont use this in any install that has any important saved games/mod setup in it ), can get it here: https://github.com/StoneBlue/IKRC-for-Kerbal/releases/tag/SBchanges

So i have a Problem with mods
Stone Blue replied to R1siNg's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Read this to learn how to provide your log files. Also, while it tells you *NOT* to provide the /<KSP main install folder>/KSP.log, some people actually find it quite helpful in quickly diagnosing initial mod loading errors and incorrectly installed mods. Also, by the look of some of the folder names in your list of mods, I'd say that yes, you most likely have at least *one* mod incorrectly installed... vOv ... namely whatever has "/Properties", "/smelter/", "/UI", and all the Workshop folders... -
What mod to use for large landing legs/vertical descent?
Stone Blue replied to paul23's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I use these. Check the last page of posts for any community supplied fixes for recent KSP versions... I know I was using them in 1.7.3 and they seemed ok... They *should* work in 1.8.+... I havent built a modded 1.8.1 *play* install yet tho, so *I* havent tried them. EDIT: Actually some recent discussion on these legs for KSP 1.6.1 and mebbe later, is here: ... might be moar recent posts later in the thread... just have to research a little vOv -
[Discontinued] Science Elaboration System
Stone Blue replied to asdfCYBER's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I prefer the un-stock-alike icon on the right... seems to fit better with your other two icons... as well as, if you want the one on the left, that is almost a copy of the stock icon, why bother with the other two custom icons, and not just keep the stock ones... vOv
