  1. Lheim, because I honestly think this thing will not travel well, as it is, components of this thing were a NIGHTMARE to launch. I cannot fathom how unholy this would be to move.
  2. I think, after reading all of your replies folks I have decided, it will be placed into stand by mode with 2 solar array's left extended, bring her crew home after 5 years in orbit, and leave her in orbit, fully fueled, supplied and waiting for the need for her to go operational again. Thank you all.
  3. its also slightly more potent than the stock nuclear engine for what its worth. also a bit bigger too.
  4. Me i obsessively clean debris from orbit, i figure jeb builds explosives into all rockets
  5. the stations been in orbit nearly a 'decade' and thought it was time to retire it, beyond that, not sure honestly, beyond, not sure how long leaving it in orbit is ideal, especially with LKO getting crowded.
  6. Okay guys, I am torn here. My sandbox is at about 9 years and change in age as far as the game clock goes. My first successful station has been in orbit and manned for almost 9 years, its like 8 and a half or something like that. My question is, should I go ahead and de-orbit the station and design and build a new one or leave it up as a testament to the 'early' years of my sandbox's space program?
  7. what the heck? what is with that planet or moon in your picture? that is AWESOME!!!
  8. wha.....wha.... WHAT IS IT?? also a pretty picture of Kerbin, KSC down below, The Mun rising to the East and my lander probe bound for Gilly
  9. until they add something new to career mode, I am done, full tree unlocked.
  10. Wow. If you ever send another use more landing legs
  11. Up to you basically. But from an efficiency pov, a LKO at 75km nets biggest oberth effect which is less dV you need in end
  12. Gather all science from ksp (uncontrolled shudder) massive mission that
  13. Yes, but i couldnt stop myself, which is why its ordered as it is. If i didnt know ida gone in the other order hehe
  14. nothing but a conspiracy. you lack the proof that would intentionally sabotage themselves. It IS a prototype. failures ARE expected. and an instant defeat to your conspiracy: if they did not/do not want said contract, they would not be competing for it.
  15. I think it will return the given amount PER container, but, I am not sure. 99% of my science, was spam fire data in flight from the goo containers, materials bay and crew reports. I never looked at my reports that closely to see if it does return the same for each if says like 400 science <as an example> an you get it on 2 items, then land said items back at kerbin...
  16. I think it that, given that it behaved in flight, and was not using final design spec landing gear, it did quite well. It stayed on the designed flight and glide slope, landed smoothly, cannot ask for more imho.
  17. Always remember your building basics. Something might look trivial to add to a rocket, but may have huge implications once you light that candle!
  18. this is just my preference, but, I try to stay south of 450 parts but, have gone north of 800 before, all of which causes various amounts of lag lol.
  19. I give you my furthest orbiting platform. Deep Star One, a Deep Space Orbiting Science Platform, meant to gaze into the galaxy an unravel the mysteries of the Universe from an orbit both just inside and out side of Eeloo's Orbit.
  20. Squad has stated that Eeloo is intended to be a moon of a second Gas Giant 2. Source: Celestial Bodies Asteroids[citation needed] 3 gas planets (Jool being the only currently available), moons and an asteroid belt [1] The dwarf planet Eeloo would become a moon of the gas planet 2.[2] Planned Features Wikipedia KSP.
  21. Derp on me, managed to miss that when i read it lol thx
