  4. I would like to make the KSP cursor my usual Mac cursor, since I'm obsessed with KSP. I couldn't find the cursor's image file anywhere, even when I looked into some promising spots in the download file. If any of you have the KSP cursor image file, please share it here. I've also tried the internet, to no avail. Thanks in advance!
  5. My PS4 version KSP keeps stuck at "Continue Saved Game" when ever I try to play it, I've deleted it and download back several time. Do they stop support the game or what can I do?
  6. I am not exactly sure where to put this thread, so if it is not in the correct forum section the moderators will move it (Sorry to make more work for you!) I just want to know how to install KSP without steam because I am soon switching over to a different computer, and I have heard that it is best to play modded KSP without going through Steam. Can you tell me how to do it, or where to go to to find instructions?
  7. I need help downloading Kerbal Foundries-I need the tracks to make crawler excavators, crawler cranes, tanks, etc. The only link I have found that is for the newest version (I have KSP 1.11.1, Technically KSP 1.11.1.3066, but I don't now if that matters) is on GitHub, but at about 75% done it says network error, and then as I try to resume the download, it says "forbidden". It could have something to do with my download speed being 0.2 Mbps, but I think it is can get up to around 5 Mbps (Pretty slow, long story) Long-ish story short, before I make it too much more confusing, does anyone have a link to download the latest version of Kerbal Foundries that is not GitHub, or does anyone know why it would be saying forbidden?
  8. I propose challenge: to get a gold medal in the game Flappy Bird. Everything you need can be downloaded from the link in description.
  9. Stock Glider Catalogue Although KSP lacks wind and thermals, or indeed any means to actually maintain altitude in a glider without self-propelling, I have still found a tremendous amount of fun in building "sailplanes", aircraft with very low stall speeds and very good glide ratios. I think there's a lot of fun to be had in throwing them off cliffs and seeing how far it's possible to go, or what dangerous aerobatics you can perform. Thus, I present the Greenhayes Aircraft Glider Catalogue: four different sailplanes, each with their own handling characteristics and visual appeal. General Advice As a rule of thumb, the best fun can be had when you launch your gliders off a large hill or mountain. A good starting point is the mountain range east of the Kerbal Space Centre - you can use the new "Set Position" cheat to place your craft on the perfect peak. All of the gliders in the catalogue come equipped with three glide extension rockets (or a reusable self-sustaining rocket on the "Stork"), mapped to the space bar. These are to be used at your leisure - to gain speed before maneuvering, or to gain a little bit of altitude and go further, or even to take off from level ground - the choice is yours. An important difference that the gliders show from normal KSP aircraft is their tandem landing gear - they will rest with one wingtip on the ground before takeoff. Thus, it is very important to keep the wings level on takeoff and landing, to avoid any crashes. Remember to start trying to level out as soon as your aircraft begins to move! Greenhayes Model 16 "Cumulus" The Cumulus is a fairly docile, easy-to-handle two-seater with three pairs of Glide Extension RocketsTM strapped to the side, so that you can get yourself out of a pickle, or self-launch in a hurry. Recommended for beginners and for long, calm flights. The wheels don't retract on this one - no need to remember to put the gear down. Greenhayes Model 33 "Vulture" y The Vulture is a single-seat, tailless glider with excellent acrobatic potential - it is highly maneuverable on the pitch axis, and will flip around quite easily due to its wing configuration. It is Be gentle on takeoff and particularly landing, as the fragile fuselage is easily damaged. Not recommended for beginners, but good fun in experienced hands. Greenhayes Model 05 "Seagull" The Seagull is one of the first gliders built at Greenhayes, and its handling reflects its age - very stable, with a good glide ratio and a low top speed. The rudder on this glider is particularly powerful - use it in your aerobatics, or to keep your turns coordinated. Greenhayes Model 15 "Stork" The Stork is a durable, high-performance single-seat sailplane which can be put to just about any use the pilot wants. This is the only glider of the catalogue to feature permanent self-launch engines and flaps, allowing experienced pilots to control their approach speed and angle. Flaps are mapped to Action Group 1. 10. Hi everyone, I know that this question has already been asked for Windows users, but I know how to download older version of the game on windows, both with Steam and the launcher of Galaxy of Gaming. The problem is that on Linux there is no Launcher for GoG and on the website I have not managed to download the 1.7.3. (I like to play RP-1) I could do it on Steam, but on steam I do not own the extensions. I tried with Lutris, and the website. No luck so far. I asked this question on the Lutris forum last week, no answer. I just asked this question on the customer support of GoG, and still no answer. I have the feeling that this forum might be my best chance. Thanks.
  11. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong's safe ejection from the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle, I put one together in KSP. The LLRV (and subsequent LLTV (Training)), were created to allow Apollo lunar landing pilots a way to practice landings without leaving Earth. The coolest thing (I didn't know) was that the central jet engine wasn't actually controlled by the pilot... it was on a separate mount with massive 20 degree plus gimbal, and automatically controlled to maintain a vertical orientation, even when the main frame was tilted 20+ degrees. This allowed the jet engine to be throttle to provide only 5/6 of the thrust needed to keep the craft aloft... effectively simulating the 1/6 Earth gravity of the moon. The remaining 1/6+ thrust had to come from main rocket engines, mounted on the tilting frame, to simulate the actual control and design of the lunar landers. Pilots used RCS to control the attitude (pitch, yaw, and roll) of the frame, and main rockets... the jet engine simply made it "weigh" 5/6 less than it really did. The LLRVs were limited by the available thrust of the central jet engine, and had be be balanced front to back so the craft could VTOL without flipping out.... If you build VTOL craft, you know what I mean. RCS Build Aid is your friend! Luckily, the designers included an ejection seat in that limited mass. As the LLRV was in no way suited to gliding, if something went wrong, there needed to be a way to get the pilot to safely. Even at 2.5 million bucks a pop, preserving the pilot was far more important than saving the machine. Totally doable in Kerbal, and the same balance rules apply. (There are lots of ejection seat outtakes https://www.twitch.tv/dasvaldez/clips To make all this work in Kerbal, there's a simple krakentech bearing in the middle, which separates the jet engine structure from the rest of the frame. The Jet engine has fuel, a probecore, and plenty of intakes, and is is throttled down to .83 TWR (5/6 G) and set to SAS hold radial out before decoupling. The jet engine continues to fly vertically, holding up 5/6 of the weight of the craft... and the TWR < 1 makes it fall, so the pilot has to control the main frame and use rockets to account for the other 1/6th. You can download the craft from KerbalX.. best flown out at the Dessert Airfield if you have it. https://kerbalx.com/KSpaceAcademy/KSA-X-KLLRV Entire build is on Twitch, which is half ejection seat shenanigans, if you've got 5-6 hours. Enjoy!
  12. I downloaded the Making History expansion but when I launch it I get a black screen. I asked the technical support and they told me to uninstall and download/launch again. 14. Hi everyone. I purchased the game some time ago, now I want to reinstall it again as I think my current game is corrupted (stalls, etc.) Logging into my account, there is no download button anymore! What's new with this? I did that already some time ago as the new version came out, the download button used to be always there... Greatful for any help Christian
  15. It's been a very, very long time since I interacted with the KSP community (hell, I was so desperate I turned to Five Nights at Freddy's and Minecraft), and I decided to install Loud and Clear, hoping it would get rid of my previous problem. I downloaded the 1.2.2 Mac edition pure, no installer. But during my download process, I got a notification that the download had been canceled due to error 403 (the codename for ACCESS DENIED). I went through the download history and traced the download source to this link. http://cds.t2e6n8k7.hwcdn.net/ksp-osx-1-2-2.zip?ttl=1482743305&token=d2073fa2e12b6abcd2e83f2ccec55814 I also decided to download the demo to calm myself down, but guess what happened there? Yep, the game just froze there in the loading screen. I've had it up to here with this . Somebody please help me!
