PS there are still some sizes that might be unique to BDB but you can get creative with adapters. My mod install in a nutshell. I also have knes, tundra exploration, spock (pathfinder shuttle), mk33 (venturestar), HII/H3 transfer vehicle, planetside exploration technologies, redirect (technically obsolete now that ACK is here, but still useful IMO), among a bunch of others. Also does ORANGES have a forum topic? Edit: I found ORANGES ON github, nevermind. Edited December 3, 2022 by Blufor878

Manually delete its folder and install with CKAN Hello. So i've been pruning this mod to speed up loading and relive some burden from enormous part list and I have a question. How exactly compares bdb tanks with the same tanks from vanilla (restock) such as titan tanks? Is there any huge differences other then texture? Looks like a sign of an incorrect install. 1 hour ago, ra4nd0m said: How exactly compares bdb tanks with the same tanks from vanilla (restock) such as titan tanks? Is there any huge differences other then texture? They should be roughly similar and mass fractions should be similar too (except balloon tanks which are much lighter for an equivalent size). But our tanks are not strictly balanced based on matching the volume of stock tanks rather its based on 20% of real world fuel mass so the fuel density can vary. Fuel density is not consistent in stock either though.
Alpha512
Considering starting a BDB career (lots of other mods involved, but mainly BDB for the parts), so... Is the current version of BDB compatible with Skyhawk science system, or does it need any manual tweaks? Are contracts provided by BDB comprehensive enough, and/or are there any other contract packs required/recommended for a good BDB career experience? (Also, general recommendations on probes and planetary-oriented contract packs will be greatly appreciated) I've only used BDB on sandbox saves before, hence the need for some help Edited December 3, 2022 by Alpha512

As for contracts, I'm not really sure I've seen any set of contracts that provides a particularly good career experience without completely overhauling contracts (which RP-1 does), but I don't think there's anything wrong with BDB ones. I'd recommend Strategia though, since although it's not a contract pack it gives you incentives to explore and to otherwise play in interesting ways. I would recommend @Morphisor History of Spaceflight contract pack to run alongside it (light version is more than enough).

Pudgemountain
Speaking of Skyhawk's techtree I finally did a Mun landing with it. Mission: Apollo 4. Payload: CSM named Amadeus and LEM named Falco. Crew: Valentina as Commander and LM pilot, Jebediah as CSM pilot and Bill as Engineer. Unfortunately Falco's name decal did not load. CTV camera footage of Valentina steeping onto the surface. Now Bill, thanks Val for holding the camera. Thankfully I did not unlock the ALSEP because where I landed parallax lagged my computer to no end.
ra4nd0m
Meet my latest creation/abomination: What if NASA decided to use Orion on the ISS... and chose Atlas V as its launch vehicle. This abomination is Atlas V N2D2 where D2 is DCSS with 2 RL10 B2s It flies suprisingly well. And looks pretty good escpecially considering the existance of the Ares I

Yes except for during launch when "Where My Heart Will Take Me" by Russell Watson aka theme to Star Trek Enterprise which plays as tradition with launching. But other than that they did constantly blast "Rock me Amadeus" the whole mission.

Heck I am old skool Star Trek (saw Wrath of Khan in the theater on Release) And I prefer the Kelvin Timeline to ST Enterprise

JonnySpace
Possibly a stupid question but I am having difficulty using the apollo service module - if I try and 'open' it in the VAB and the 'open all bays' option disappears but the shielding remains on so I can't see where to put things. I'm guessing I'm missing something really obvious

A funny thing I noticed about your save is mine started a tiny bit later than yours with almost identical mods and the exact same tech tree. except I'm still at the stage where I'm attempting to get a Kerbal into space. Kerbalisim and JNSQ really slow you down

Kerbalisim and JNSQ really slow you down LOL I am running Stock Scale with TAC Life Support, OPM and Extra Solar. Originally I was gonna use Galaxies unbound but either A: My computer with 32 GB of RAM can't handle it or B: a mod is causing a memory leak and I am too lazy to find out which one. zakkpaz
There's a small bug with the model for the Mercury drogue chute. the chute works but its model is broken, the actual parachute part deploys way down on the bottom with the cable its supposed to be attached to going through it. Birdman31
I have been wondering, do you guys plan on tackling some of the US mars rovers, like Sojourner or the Mars Exploration Rovers ?
