@linuxgurugamer When I uninstall other parts mods from an active save, the mod name remains selectable in TJC's filter window. It's easily fixable by deleting and reinstalling but that has the side-effect of removing any custom settings. Is there a better way to get TJC to stop listing an uninstalled parts mod?

I looked in gamedata and think that manually editing FilterConfig.cfg might do it. Search for the mod name and delete the row. Repeat that process in other files named JCModFilter[#].cfg. One thing that concerns me is if some parts from that mod were previously blocked. Do those blocked parts become clutter in some file (because blocking seems to be stored somewhere else than those cfg files) or cause other problems?

This isn't a big deal and reinstalling TJC is easy enough, but you might already know a better way. (My search for similar discussions found nothing.)

Why is this mod not available in 1.8.x ? (I'm stuck in this version because a lot of mods I want to use don't work in 1.9.x)

I've been trying to use the latest version 1.9.0 of your mod but KSP freeze at startup ... and with CKAN I only see a 1.7.3 previous version ... can you publish a 1.8.x version please ?

Have you tried the 1.7.2 version in KSP 1.8?  It'll probably work as it does for me.

At least it used to.  I can confirm that in a modded KSP 1.8.1, pressing and holding the Alt key when clicking on a part in the VAB does not bring up the JC menu.

More investigation required.

The version you should be using is 0.3.6.1, it works for both 1.8 and 1.9

I don't know what you mean by the "version 1.9.0"

Also, be sure to have ZeroMiniAVC installed, your crash/freeze most likely isn't this mod but something else.

On  game restart, the problem disappeared.  Not going to guess what might have been the cause.

Nothing to see here.  These aren't the bugs your looking for.  Move along...move along.

Hi there, I'm experiencing the same issue that occasionally the game will hang once it starts to load Janitor's Closet.

It'll get to about here...

[LOG 19:45:49.890] Load(Texture): JanitorsCloset/Textures/20_black-white

...and then hang...

Here's my full log: KSP_Log_050920-1945.log

What's odd, is that if I load KSP on a fresh restart of my machine, the game will usually load fine. But if I load KSP after sleep mode or if it's the 2nd game load in a day, it will often hang right at that spot. So far it hasn't hung at any other time since I've freshly installed this instance and these mods.

Running KSP 1.8.1 with Janitor's Closet v0.3.7 on Windows 10. I know in a previous comment, you recommended the 0.3.6.1 version of JC, but then the Spacedock notes say 0.3.7 was updated for KSP 1.8? I, too, have ZeroMiniAVC installed.

You need to send the Player.log, which has the Unity info.

I experience this quite often as well, but it's nothing to do with JC, as far as I can tell.  It has to do with d3d11 errors.  and it's actually a behind-the-scene crash

For me, it happens right around the time the logo with the orbiting planets is shown in the lower right, it starts and then hangs.  All mods are loaded at this point, but it seems to happen after a number of the following errors:

d3d11: failed to create 2D texture id=3859 width=10 height=10 mips=4 dxgifmt=77 [D3D error was 80070057]

It's interesting because I see the same error on my smaller games, and it doesn't crash.  So it has something to do with memory.

From your file, I see that you have a total of 16 gig of memory.  Would be interesting to see what happens to the main and GPU memory, for me, it gets very close to full.  I've started doing a full reboot of my computer before my streams because the 210+ mods that I am playing with are very memory intensive, both RAM and GPU.  Assuming you have an up-to-date version of W10, the task manager has been updated to show GPU information, in the Performance tab at the bottom of the list

In my latest player.log (thanks for pointing that out), I can also see a ton of these d3d11 errors. But when I looked at my performance tab it didn't seem anything was maxed out.

Unfortunately, I've gotten three of these hang/crashes in a row, including a fresh restart on two of the occasions. I'd really love to find out what's causing this, if there's anything we can do about it.

But that's not for this thread, since as you say it doesn't appear to be a JC issue.

I don't know the answer for you, but if you try to investigate it more on your own take a look at my April 23 post. I did a little research into how JC settings worked.

You have to give more information than that if you want to receive assistance.  What doesn't appear where?  As well, follow the link in my signature and read the troubleshooting steps you should following, including finding the log file and uploading it to a file sharing site so you can post the link here.  Else there's very little that can be done to help you.

In general, the minor point updates to KSP are bug fixes only.  Mods made for a major point release will work on all the minor point releases.

Which was just a long way to answer the question, but I wanted you to understand the differences between major and minor point releases

hi i saw kottabos yt video about JC and i decided to get one. i install JC ver 0.3.7 on ksp 1.8.1 but it doesnt show up on the bottom right like it was on the video. is there any key to press to enable mod filter? or is the mod broken because i did something wrong? any help would be appriciated thanks.

Hi. I have a bug with hiding the buttons in the toolbar. As u can see in the picture i have hidden some toolbar icons with JC but when i load the next vessel, icons appear again and they can be seen in both places. Inside JC folder and on the toolbar. 

Any ideas on this? Im on 1.9.1
