Too many ads and gambling. Minesweeper, a couple idle clickers, and a couple physics sandboxes are all I need.

I've been happily playing Final Fantasy V on mobile for about a month now. Fantastic interface and I'm pretty sure it was upressed from the original. Very happy with it.

Other than that, I love puzzle games, and my favorite so far is Konami Puzzle Collection. The first 20-30 puzzles are almost stupidly easy but after about 500 puzzles, the last few are mind-numblingly hard.

If you like crossword puzzles (hint, I do) then you cannot do without Shortyz. I have no idea how this app has functioned for free for the nearly decade I've been using it, but it has.

There are plenty of good games on Mobile, and you don't need to suffer unskippable 30-second ads and mandatory micropayments if you're picky or are willing to (gasp) pay for them upfront.

I actually think that mobile gaming is actually... HORRIBLE! HAVE YOU SAW THE ADS ON YOUTUBE WITH THEIR GAMES, whoops caps, to lazy to remove... but back on topic, yeah the games are horrible, a game where you play as a black hole and suck buildings... what??? But most mobile apps not games are ok, youtube is nice and google chrome's incognito mode websites work fine... and more i don't need.

Mobile games are either really good, or cheap knockoffs, or microtransaction riddled messes (looking at you, SimCity Buildit)

At this point, the only good game I have on my phone is Spaceflight Simulator. It's basically a 2D KSP-lite.

Are you limiting this to just games or all applications ? Because there are definitely applications that works for mobile users (and works much better for mobile users due to their mobility).

I play Candy Crush to pass the time while carpooling etc. And GasBuddy to try to find cheaper gas when it’s my turn to drive. I use to play the various flavours of Angry Birds.

I use the forum on mobile, it's really not that bad. Mobile games rely on spending thousands on marketing (and somehow still making excrement-y adds) and about $20 Zimbabwe dollars on actual developement. The adds are all hilariously copied from eachother, too.
