It was an Arcade game, stand up, with a track ball controller and three buttons. On screen you had 3 forts and a targeting reticule you moved around with the track ball. Each fort had a limited stock of rays/rockets that caused a brief, reasonably large explosion, where you had the reticule at the time you hit the button for a fort to fire. If you timed your shots right you could blow up falling nuclear missiles, more than one at a time, when they get hit they also have a decent sized explosion that can, if done at the right time, take out other missiles in a chain reaction. Each level you were protecting a city. If missiles got through they would take out parts of the city, if they hit a fort they would take out a fort. The higher the level the faster the missiles would fall, spreading out all over the screen in diagonal pathways. Basically the faster and more rained down the faster you would lose. Hence the reference. Speaking of track balls, if someone builds a Marble Madness KK static I have an idea for having fun with Kerbal Ball.
