What is a movie you know you watched but can’t remember the name of

Was it "2012"?  Massive disaster which I think included a Russian oligarch taking all his cars with him on an Antonov cargo plane, to meet the arks where all the wealthy were going to be saved.

Might be wrong though, I only saw it once and maybe confusing it with something else.

Okay - some 'monster stalks the teens in a cabin in the woods' movie I saw on TV back in the late 70s/early 80s.  Monster was some kind of golem; mud monster, and in one scene it's trying to get through the door and they either close the door (taking of its hand) or chop the hand off... which doesn't flop but scurries under the stairs.  Later the hand attacks on its own.

Movie freaked me out as a kid.  Cannot for the life of me remember the name of it.

(Actually, the movie did not freak me out as I watched it; but it was my 'there's something outside the bathroom window' monster... that's how young I was - which makes me think 70s.  THEM! on the other hand was freaky to watch on TV (I lived in LA and knew where the tunnels were) but had no sticking power).

you know how many movies were made about kids in a cabin in the woods stalked by monsters. just watch 'the cabin in the woods', it parodies all of them.

IKR?!?  But this was my 'Scary Movie' from my childhood; the one my mom told me I couldn't watch, and so I did.  I've told the story to my kids, and they love making fun of me about it.  Now I need to find it so we can all laugh.

honestly ive seen so many of those that they kind of blur together. i was born at a time where mothers let their four year olds watch scary movies, so by the time i hit adolescence i had become so desensitized to them that i don't really get much out of the genre anymore.

still 'the cabin in the woods' is a great movie. every horror fan should watch it at least once.

Okay here's one that pops into my head every decade or so.

It's a cartoon movie, I saw it on HBO or Showtime some time in the mid-80s. All I really remember is that the main character was like an escaped slave or perhaps just his entire planet was really low quality of life, and he worked in a mine or something. He escaped that and at one point was on a ship that (now that I reflect on it later) looked somewhat like a Firefly (the spaceship not the insect). The only real scene I have any vivid memory of is the space ship flying very low over the ground and crashing, and the main characters being thrown out the front windshield and - of course - surviving with barely a scratch.

It's likely a terrible b-movie unwatchable schlockfest but at my young age I recall loving it.

(Scene may have been modified a bit... bonus point if you can figure out the context!)

Okay - no nibbles, so I have to explain mine.

My wife declared that she and her friends are sick and tired of winter and Covid.  So they're planning a "Grey Gardens" party.  (Everyone dresses up in outdated finery and they basically drink together).  She asked my 14 y/o to make her a 'meme' from an image from the movie.

Party is happening around Easter.

This is what he put together.

(I think it's hilarious)
