Technically TweakChutes comes with just the plugin, what makes the change is the cfg that is part of JNSQ But it is correct that the cfg does not affect the ModuleParachute, it only makes a copy at :FINAL (even though I have already made a better cfg for the guys to include in the next update) seeing as JNSQ uses FINAL, FAR renames the node before JNSQ (see here and here) so the JNSQ patch will simply not apply which means TweakChutes is disabled in JNSQ if you install FAR
-
this would be my suggestion: :LAST doesn't seem to work as far as I can tell nevermind I didn't have a :FOR[JNSQ] so that's why my :LAST[JNSQ] was failing. I didn't know that was a requirement
-
ok, apparently now MM spams the logs with every patch that is applied. this will probably favor using the :HAS[] rather than not using it. I wasn't aware MM did that now, it doesn't seem to be a good idea, but I'm sure they have their reasons for doing that
-
I never liked to use :FINAL but in some limited cases I think it's fine. using it with tweakchutes should be fine. last time I checked MM it was some time ago and LAST[JNSQ] wasn't implemented, if it is now .. this is a wonderful news and the cfg can be changed to that, even though it's not as crucial for this specific mod as it would be with others. finally, I don't see the difference between using @PART or @PART:HAS[whatever] it won't give you any advantage to use one over the other as far as I can tell so my suggestion would be to use whatever will make people stop complaining for nothing

hey @hab136 @Nightside and @danshu15, here's the source code of the mod https://github.com/Sigma88/Sigma-TweakChutes the one included in JNSQ is v0.1.0 however v0.2.0 is basically the same with some more features I don't really like how the mod works, it was still in development but it got released in JNSQ which got me a bit by surprise I am trying to see if I can manage to get the mod to work without replacing the Parachute modules, I will let you know if I can find any solutions Any help you might be able to provide is definitely apreciated The purpose of the mod is to avoid triggering full deployment before the semi deployment has been triggered. v0.2.0 also adds the option to change the min/max/scale values of the sliders

just a reminder, I tend not to read the forums very ofted but I check github multiple times every week. if you are having troubles with my mods your best bet would be to open an issue on github

don't worry, all plugins should have their source published somewhere to be posted to the forum anyways let me check if I have the source somewhere on github
-
hmm it's weird, "SigmaRandomPlugin" is the name of a test plugin that I keep changing to test stuff before starting a new project it's more than likely a plugin that I sent to @OhioBob to test something he wanted me to do with parachutes, but I thought I also sent him a more refined version, maybe that one was included by mistake?
-
good job guys!
-
I'll have to take a look now btw, I am aware that the documentation on the mod is crap, so if you need any help with the cfgs just send me a pm here or on discord

System Rescaling mod for 1.6.1/1.7.0 ????
Sigma88 replied to Iso-Polaris's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I haven't had the time to test it, however I haven't received any bug reports either -
it is definitely possible to solve the issue, but it would require the mods you mentioned to ignore the barycenter bodies if those mods were to add some way to mark a body for being ignored I can add to SB some code to communicate with those mods and tell them to ignore all barycenters I don't think it would be possible for me to solve the issue only on SB side, feel free to open an issue on my github and ping the devs of the mods you mentioned

Missing piece to get Sigma Dimensions from working?
Sigma88 replied to PTNLemay's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
you might have introduced some weird stuff in the settings.cfg when you edited it. try deleting the sigma folder and re-installing SD, Rescale from galileo worked fine last time I checked if you are still having issues you can contact me on github -
nothing?

I am trying to fix an issue with one of my mods. The game seems to crash to desktop for seemingly no reason if I have a bit of code that adds a new component to an object at "MainMenu" Start To make it easier to reproduce, I dumbed down the whole mod to a very short plugin that has this code: the issue here is the use of ".AddComponent<>()" for some reason, if I go back and forth between the MainMenu and a game save, after 2-5 iterations the game crashes spamming the following error: if someone has any idea please let me know full logs and example plugins are available if anyone cares to give this a look, just let me know

Realism in Stock KSP
Sigma88 replied to VoidCosmos's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I forgot about that, I'll get back to that and see if I can fix it this time -
I have been told that SD works fine with SVE, so your issue might be a result of your specific setup. can you list me the minimum amount of mods that still shows this issue for you? (try to remove every mod that is not needed to get the bug) EDIT: I just noticed you are back in 1.2.2, I can't speak for that version since I don't remember the state of SD back then and I don't really provide support for older versions of ksp because that's a pain in the astronaut

Realism in Stock KSP
Sigma88 replied to VoidCosmos's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I am confused, it should still work as of 1.5.1, didn't have time to update to 1.6.0 yet but it's not like the mod is abandoned -
there used to be a cfg in SD that handled resized atmospheres, however I am not sure it is there anymore. anyways, I am not familiar with eve's syntax anymore so if anyone knows about the syntax and has some time to explain it to me feel free to contact me possibly on github but discord and this forum are ok as well

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it!
-
if you can set up a simple system to reproduce the issue I will take a look possibly stock ksp + sigmabinary + the duna-ike example
