All spaceplane projects of 1960s were requiring a niobium shield in front. The tiles have appeared much later, in the late Space Shuttle version.

Probably, we should distinguish the "planets" and the "wanderers", as how many "planets" can rule the same Zodiac sign (and corresponding horoscope house)? It's already two of them per sign and some hotheads add even other Kuiper bodies. It's a madness. It should be stopped. Neither Pluto, nor Neptune, nor Uranus should be planets. Say, KSP. It has Sun, Moon, Moho, Eve, Dune. Jool. (Some add Minmus, Dres, and Eeloo, but they are so small andinsignificant that don't deserve their own place.) Six obvious planets. Six days in any Kerbal week (I was counting visually. It has a "solar week", about 6+ days long, and a "stellar" week, about 5+ day long). So, basically six. Six hours in a Kerbal day. So, six or twelve zodiac signs and astrological houses match the Kerbal world even better than the human "planets". But even on the Earth the classic seven is much better than the distortion brought by Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. They should not be counted as planets.

In the glorious early days of the spacenautics allof them required a niobium shield at some distance from the hull itself. Niobium was very expensive. If they could, they would never want it. It would be understandable if the Starrship was made of a post-industrial nanosilicarbon, not of same steel which needed niobium a half-century earlier...

It still looks weird that Uranus and Neptune are. They have to share the signs and thus also houses with Saturn and Jupiter, just like Pluto has to do with Mars. Was it actually necessary to include Uranus and Neptune (let alone Pluto) in the planet list, when they are just astral twins of the normal classic planets and are never visible wihout a telescope?
