I want to say it was 0.5 - 0.8 somewhere in that range. I will double check tonight. Also the offset is kind of a stop gap, it works but it's not perfect. What would really help is if we could get the value of the max buoyancy turned up in the plugin. But plugin coding is currently beyond my abilities. I think the new buoyancy model is just a lot softer than previous so all the floats just don't float as high in the water anymore. and all the parts float a lot higher than before. So sometimes they meet too close to one another when landing. on of my planes would try and stand on it's nose until I did the offset trick.

I see you're running win 10. In the shortcut target field add " -dx9" to the end of the shortcut target so "....\ksp.exe -dx9" Don't forget the space. Win 10 will try to run ksp in dx12 for some stupid reason. I run win 10 pro myself. This forces direct x 9 not the most memory friendly option but if you run the x64 hack that will solve a lot of the issues. Also this may be the main reason a lot of people are complaining of artifacts and horrible fps. Well a good piece of advice I can give both of you guys is the x64 Windows work around. I play for hours with no issues unless I'm bouncing in and out of the VAB with a 250+ part ship, that's a normal known issue with even a stock game. I run over 60 mods with Scatterer smooth as silk and really no mod issues to speak of. Remember though most mod devs really wont help you if you run an x64 install. 64bit Hack 64Bit Unfixer

Oh right on. Now I know what cfg's you got rid of. I was worried since lately I've been all about seaplanes The vertical offset "works" but you get water splashes before actual touchdown. It helps with float level once you are stopped in the water. As well as touching the water with a float before a clipped part inside the float. The other thing I messed with was I decreased the resistance once a float is in the water. Really love the pack BTW it's been instrumental in quite a few of my more recent builds. Looking forward to seeing the new textures when I make it home tonight.

[0.25] Lionhead Aerospace Inc. - Icarus v0.4 updated
V8jester replied to Yogui87's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
These Work just fine I got the Prometheus in game in 1.0.5 last night so it is possible. It just has the same issue the DSL rover has. When you launch just the rover to test on kerbin it works great with no issues. But build the whole delivery system launch / land. The rover steering is no longer self centering as well the gas / brake are stuck until you right click the rover and select "speed control" I'd like to replace the bobcat.dll wheel module. But so far have been unsuccessful. Anybody else found a way to pull off a different wheel module? I'd like to use something else but I talked to Lo-fi before he left and KF won't work as it is not meant for a single part with steering. I will post up some links for the DSL and Prometheus I have "working" later this evening. Also fixed the aero issues with the capsule / parachute. -
Lack, I'm away from my gaming computer at the moment. But did you remove the Floats in the new release? I was able to come up with a work around and make them work in 1.0.5 with the new buoyancy model. I added the line buoyancyVerticalOffset = 2 It's not perfect but here's how it worked on a large scale build with Tweakscale added to them - Water is Scatterer for those who have not seen it yet

[0.25] Astronomer's Visual Pack - Interstellar V2
V8jester replied to Astronomer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have been purposely slacking as Astronomer has come out of cryosleep. He is the master behind everything that is AVP. I do have a few tweaks I may put up on kerbalstuff. Maybe I will try and post a small update. No lightning or glowing auroras as EVE no longer supports those (for now). -
[1.1] BDArmory v0.11.0.1 (+compatibility, fixes) - Apr 23
V8jester replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Hey BD, I had a question about the wing man system in development. Is it possible to have multiple VTOL craft (controlled by an upward facing command module) hover in formation? I know there are mods out there to hold a hover so I know it can be done. Just beyond me as to how to setup the plugin to do so. -

Thanks HatBat. I've really been wanting to do a military deployment of some kind. Maybe multiple aircraft types flying a mission. Switching between recon attack and troop movements. My issue is most of my planes are built to look scale. But they look huge next to a kerbals. I think If I could film the Kerbals seperate from most of the planes I could pull it off. I just need to find an idea that sticks and really spend some time on it. Honestly not to sound like a putz or anything. Most of my videos where made in less than an hour. So if I really spent some significant time on something I know I could pull off something great. Just need to figure out what that "something great" should be. Well to expand on Thrimm's video. I kinda think he is on a better track when it comes to telling a story telling than I am. At least he took the plunge in building a story with dialogue. Now something I can point out right away is that it doesn't look like you pushed "F2" to hide the HUD as often as you needed to. Just this one improvement would really add to the experience of the video. Another suggestion I can make is use "Stock Bug Fix Modules" there is a setting to disable the green highlights on parts when you mouse over them. The last thing I want to point out is always hide the mouse along the right side of the screen. I made the mistake of leaving it in one of my videos. Just these couple of things will vastly improve your videos. The rest I would just chalk up to experience. We will all improve with time. Just go for it and really dig for the opinions of others..... Even when you don't necicarily agree with those opinions they will still help shape your videos into something great. -

[1.2.2] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.2.1 (Old Thread)
V8jester replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I hadn't noticed any issues aside from one I missed on my first pass. Kinda surprised no one's mentioned this till now. Is it all MK2 parts? Or just one? I never did any work to bac9's mk2 parts that were released separately. Could you please post a screen shot? Also is anyone else having any issues with the exhaust on the F119 Turbofan? I haven't used them since .90 and I built an f-22 last night, only to find the engines work but no fire / smoke. I recall this happening in an update a while back, but was under the impression it was fixed.- 4,460 replies

Oh that's it? Guess I was overthinking it. Also in response to Hatbat's previous response. I tried some new camera angles (kinda) I Took your advice with how the H-4 looked from that specific angle. I tried to reproduce it and was happy with the angles filmed of the BE-200. I also tried not to let the video stagnate so long on any one specific scene. I think My timeing could be improved and, I still feel like I'm missing something. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to be brutal. I want to try and improve what I'm tossing out there. -

HatBat, I forgot to ask you. How did you handle the Kerbal voices in your cinematics? It sounds like they are run backwards, maybe with a few other tweaks? What software did you use? -

Well I for one want to cast my 2 cents. This is probably one of the best parts packs out there. I play with over 60 mods and this is still one that is on my list of "worth waiting for" The hint that Lazarus is still tinkering with it is something to look forward to. When he is ready to unleash his "Awesomeness" to the world. I for one will be waiting

Hey Thanks for the constructive criticism, that really does mean a lot that you took the time to give me some feed back. And in answer to your question. Yes, but I'm having trouble coming up with good story material for a short cinematic, preferably 5-8 minutes. People tend to loose interest pretty quickly so I usually try to keep my videos fairly short. And I do see what you mean about the repetitiveness of my videos. I think I'm falling into a bit of a rut I need to figure out how to climb out of. My other limiting factor, is I don't use a game pad or joystick. So most of my maneuvers tend to be pretty drawn out to hide that fact. On the up side It forces me to balance my crafts so they pretty much fly on there own. The Goose landing was hands off. I made a couple shuttle launches I am happy with and I have several Orion craft I'm waiting for mod updates to 1.0.5 before they'll fly again. So when they are flying I was planning on a possible Constellation mission but that's been done already.... I still have a few aircraft I haven't released out into the open yet so I have plenty of stuff to show off. Just starting to look more like airplane commercials than cinematics Actually Could you point me toward some Hyperedit how to's? I can't seem to wrap my noodle around it. In space I always have to do everything the hard way. -

Here are a couple of my favorites so far -
Are you opening the inventory with "TAB" then dragging the item out? Once you have dragged the item out of the inventory, Let go of the "left mouse button" This will then allow you to attach or drop the item. Once attached or dropped, right click the explosive when you are close to it, to set a timer. Then run like H-E-Double hockey sticks

[1.0.4] Smart Parts v1.6.6 | DDS Textures and Bug Fixes | July 5
V8jester replied to Firov's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I wasn't sure where to ask but seeing as there is a fuel dump in this pack. I wanted to see if it was possible to make a part that would dump water. The idea is for fire fighting aircraft flying over dumping water. Not really useful but might make for cool videos. -
Awesome! Thanks Yanfret! Really looking forward to the next update when it's ready :)
