EJ_SA class aircraft carrier. Drives, sails & flies.
Rath replied to Azimech's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Maybe a bunch of jets blowing backwards could work? Clipped into and angled as not to disturb the deck smoothness. -
I was thinking of the reaction wheels.

Maybe it could be done as an engine with negative thrust? -
Give us 2.5m plane parts
Rath replied to 322997am's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I want 2.5m airplane parts. With the huge size of mk3 parts, the hypersonic wing blending design of the mk2 and the tiny size of the 1.25ms, this would fill a gap. I would rather have a 2.5m rocket part revamp first. -
Wait... So its balanced well enough that only those three wheels can move it? Wow.
-
Knowing early astronauts, he was probably hoping it would hit a sat, cause it's a good bar story. Hopefully we will. Probably not.

http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Mk3_to_Mk2_Adapter here it is: Our engineers insisted on a way to reuse Mk2 parts on the new Fuselage system. Manufacturing a streamlined adapter despite the considerable difference of the two cross sections required quite a radical design. It is often used as a slide on Take Your Kids to Work Day.
-
There are kerbal children. it mentions take-your-kid-to-work-day in the description of one of the mk3 adapters (says "kurvy" on it). i think it's the mk3 to mk2?

it gained sentience and is secretly @RoverDude! Or it was fitted with a robotic arm and used to steal office lunches or something. So it would be gone.

KSP inspired me to design a liquid-fueled rocket engine
Rath replied to ap0r's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I also see you are a pilot. Navigation in the olden times was pretty mathy (More time trying to get FAA guy to understand your flight path than in the air, from what i've heard). That probably helps? -
Yeah, but I'm sometimes not the majority, major. Im so sorry you had to read that.
-
I wonder if I would experience that? Pls can I have mod? For "Scientific Purposes". %100.

Or, alternatively, you could get a herd of elephants to get rid of the lion! It'll be "Self Defense" But in the PMC way where you go stand by the enemies hill with helicopters and tanks and let them take the first shot!

Kerbin aerobraking at 5 Km/s?
Rath replied to NeverEnoughFuel!!'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Mun gravity-Graze atmo-Repeat. Might work. Perhaps you could launch a dockable heatsheild? 10m one connected with a claw could even work. -
Well, If I see a post from somebody a few days old and it has no likes its probably not a good post.

This is the best forum. We have such a good community, we don't know what happens when you get banned. Think about that.

I do want more launch sites, but maybe not silos. I want to launch out of them, but I dont like the possible implications. Silos and that runway that was build as just a very long corridor inside a mountain with a door so it could survive a nuke fit in the same category. Sounds very fun to use, but makes no sense with SQUAD not adding weapons. Gets a bit too close to that. What can be gained is only military. Thats why they shouldn't be added.

The best lander is a kerbal on EVA.
-
The problem though is that the current 2.5m parts are overly heavy.

Asteroid gravity
Rath replied to Buzz light fear's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I like the idea of having some tiny gilly or smaller sized asteroids around the sun on similar orbits to dres. Also some around dres. -
This is very cool. I can never seem to make working replicas. I wonder if somebody has a small and powerful enough stock turboprop to fit on that plane? @Azimech?
