  3. The Phoenix Supersonic Aircraft (unnamed in series 5) has been released and featured on Spacecraft Friday! I put the links to it and the SENTINEL crafts on the front page. A quick little entry from Bill. Holograms do in fact exist in the Kerbal Universe, as does cheese? Subeth and the Tourists will be next, and they won't be talking about Mort.

  6. Torpedoes progress against actual ships is a little muddled-1 BDA 150Kg Warhead can take out walls, but it cannot destroy the main hull components, but it can reach speeds for automatic explosion, but it's not enough. With 2, this occasionally happens, but the newest test showed a complete hull destruction and sinking when a near-head on crash occurred, but it requires action groups to blow up the target if it isn't heading towards the torpedoes. While all tests show damage that would certainly render it practically useless, this is a weak little PT Boat! They are small torpedoes though. More detail in the album. Any thoughts about the explosives? Any thoughts on design?
  7. PHOENIX SUPERSONIC AIRCRAFT First Craft of the Year! (Also my first aircraft released!) This is the Phoenix Supersonic Aircraft, capable of reaching Mach 4.5 and transporting 8 passengers easily across the world. Need to reach the KSC 2 in just 15 minutes? This craft is for you! The design was inspired by the SR-72, a unmanned conceptual spy plane. (Featured on Spacecraft Fridays!) It can reach a TWR of 1.03 on takeoff and flying up to 25 kilometers, and over 1350 M/s at top speed. I don't really recommend physics warp for this craft, though KJR may make the situation much better. Powered by two Panthers and double R.A.P.I.E.R engines, it can quickly reach its take off speed of 85 m/s. The design was featured in The Asteroid Sentinels, though slightly different. Ascent profiles should be around ~20 degree heading, so the Ramjets can get enough speed to start increasing thrust while gaining altitude. The plane contains only 82 parts, so practically all machines should be able to use this aircraft. DOWNLOAD Action Groups: 1 Switches the Panther Engine modes. 2 Toggles the RAPIER engines.   9. I'm in the young and aspiring dreamers sections I suppose, probably being one of the youngest on the forum. Im in a STEM school, for a little more clarity. Personally, I'd like to persue a career in Planetary Science.
  10. Alright! This is a much longer 3 page interlude with the crew of the "Mission:Very Possible" focusing around Jeb. Here's a refresher on Jeb and his character, as well the crew proceeding with Gene's plan- For Now. Here's Jeb and Company! I'm planning on either doing Val, Subeth, Bill, or maybe even the little talked about tourists on board the spacecraft for the next interlude, tell me what you'd want! Also, how's are the changes to the format this episode (Maybe the effects?)? I found the picture of Jeb on the first panel disturbingly entertaining to screenshot.
  11. Happy New Year, and here's the first entry of the year! I had family to be with and computer storage issues, but i'm back with the plans for entering Mun Orbit. Hopefully you guys can find a few things to help me out. The interlude won't use individual names for each episode, but rather go by the name "Transit" in whole. Anyway, here we are at mission control...Jeb is next! School is starting, so don't expect another surge like last week.

  14. Sorry i'm late, I didn't really get to use the computer for a few days, here's my 152 parts PT Boat Wreck, it has a couple seats for kerbals. It doesn't have any capsules however. DOWNLOAD
  15. I've gotten the BDA Mark 13 Torpedo to finally reach 30 m/s, so that the explosives on the nosecone can detonate when striking targets. The distance to reach 30m/s seems to be ~250 meters, and travels 24 m/s underwater. It weighs about 1.1 mT, and uses 2 Juno Engines. I'll have to test trial the actual BDA PT Boat next (and Depth Charges that explode). It is also a nice subsonic missile, though its pretty unstable. TWR is about 4.5. What do you think?

  17. It's not quite 2016 for me yet, but I'm certainly excited for what KSP has in store in 2016! This also means I've played the full version of KSP for an year now (I once had ksp .10.2 booted up on an old IMac desktop since it wasn't so good, and it was the only real computer back some 2 1/2 yrs ago...) Cheers!
  18. Loving the mod so far, but I've noticed there haven't been many guns of around 40-110mm caliber or so, (I'm especially interested in ~76mm gun s), are there any current plans for them?
  19. I'm working on making my PTBoat actually have combat capability in NAS-BDA, so I can finally give my PTBoat a purpose in battle. I'm at ~221 parts for this version, which is based off the minimal version. The main problem is that my torpedoes aren't reaching fast enough speeds for the explosive missile cone to explode by default.

Here's a tour of the inner solar system in KSPRC, but I had to remove a lot of mods and even take some sections of the mod out to be able to do it, so I'm not really going to be able to generally use it till a low-res version. I'm using a MacBookPro, so the graphics aren't all that good either...
  21. Hmm, but Kerbal technology in this era is around Real Earth ~2030, so sadly, they are not equipped with high class warp drive. They technically just sent one though... The KOL... Hypothetically they can get there, but the they are gonna have to dump the 2nd stage. Maybe! I had a busy weekend and I couldn't use the laptop yesterday, but TAS is back with an conversation with Gene and Mort to clear up some of Series 5, and reveal some of the inner thoughts of Mortimer Kerman... Also, feel free to give me a few more ideas, preferably with the current spacecraft! Gene's (mine) will be for the next interlude episode, and the following ones will feature the several aboard M:VP heading for the Asteroid in orbit 'round the Mun!

Here's the "minimal" version of the PTBoat, for getting the low-end computers to be able to run the boat without much trouble, as well as for those who want a smooth experience and appreciate the true speed of the PT Boat. The whole assembly has 218 parts, the PTBoat has 205. It travels 40 m/s on normal full thrust, 45 with afterburners, and is much lighter than the other crafts. It doesn't have much in the form of an interior, though most of the rooms are intact. I'll work on a NAS-BDA version of this with torpedoes+depthcharges, and working guns. DOWNLOAD
  23. Val decides to go with the crew of the "Mission Very Possible" and help them on there crazy adventure. With everything fixed, they decide to depart-but the rocket stage they have won't be enough both get to the mun and orbit it. The ARM spacecraft is in orbit around the Mun. What's the solution? Find out in the finale of Series 5 aka another Holiday special (unfortunately delayed a few days)!So what's your idea for helping the MVP into orbit around the Mun? After Series 5 will be another interlude. I'll note Series 5 was more consistent in episode length, at about 2-4, unlike series 4's 1-6. it's also a bit shorter. The full series 5 album will be up on the first page. This also marks 100 posts!
