Is SN6 toast?
-
The distance between coordinates even differs depending on where you are on a planet; lines of longitude converge as you move away from the equator. this makes drawing flat maps of certain places very difficult.
-
That’s cool!

Recycling Cans: Future uses of ISS modules
Nightside replied to Nightside's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Maybe Elon will collect them as scrap/ downmass/ballast on starship missions that would otherwise return empty. Then he could sell them to collectors or donate to museums for a big tax write off. -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Nightside replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does it happen with/without Terrain scatters? I’ve noticed it too in1.7.3, but haven’t had time too properly test. -
KSR Airports for Kerbinside Remastered
Nightside replied to AdmiralTigerclaw's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Welcome to the forums! This mod is great, definitely worth figuring out how to get it working. Mod installation in general : However, I recall this mod has an unusual installation method. 1st. Unzip that .RAR (using 7zip or whatever), check for a ReadMe file with installation instructions. 2nd. If no instructions, Install dependencies if you haven’t already (Kerbal Konstructs and Kerbinside Remastered) 3rd. This is where this mod is different from most mods, now install the KSR airports folder inside the Kerbinside Remastered folder. -
Recycling Cans: Future uses of ISS modules
Nightside replied to Nightside's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Ok, so the prevailing opinion is that the inhabitable modules are not worth reusing, but what about some of the hardware such as the solar trusses and docking port adapters? -
The ISS mission has to end some day. What would you do with the modules?

I want to prefix the TITLE of fuel tanks with the bulkhead profile, but my script isn't working. Input: @PART[*]:HAS[#category[FuelTank]]:FINAL { @title ^= :^:#$bulkheadProfiles$: } Desired result: title = size0 PB-X150 Xenon Container Ingame/Config Cache: title = #$bulkheadProfiles$PB-X150 Xenon Container

I thought it was just the Scatterer confine that broke- anyway it could be helpful as a template at least.

If you want to resize planets and orbits, check out RESCALE!

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Nightside replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Solar power generation should work with the inverse square of the distance from the sun, in AU (astronomical units, not Australia), where Kerbin is 1 AU from the sun (Australia is also 1 AU from the sun for that matter). -
Didn’t see this posted yet, Kessler Kuiper Systems (Owned by Amazon) has laid claim to a few thousand orbits

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Nightside replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hmm. Are you playing with a rescaled GPP, or stock size? I would guess it has something to do with something like Sigma Dimensions or Rescale trying to resize something evertime the scene loads.- 7,372 replies

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Nightside replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You will need to you KSP version 1.7.3 to use the latest Kopernicus. To get started, use the Kittopia Tech mod, which you can download on github, right next to Kopernicus. -
Yeah, I was curious because the working Kerbal definition of SSTO seems to always include return, reentry and landing capability. However that additional capability will have a huge mass penalty. It would be helpful for the OP to define the parameters.
-
@Exoscientist, does an SSTO need to have return capabilities also?
-
They still need to prove this of course... It could also end up like: "It would have flown great except our bolts rusted through and a ground squirrel nested in the RCS nozzle, I guess next time we will need a better tent."

Nice dramatic clouds at the start
