[1.4.3] Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul v3.4.0 [UPDATE IN PROGRESS]
Galileo replied to Gameslinx's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I would lower those clouds on Sonus. They look like popping up off of the planet too strongly. Unless that's how you intended it. Actually looking at it, they might be fine, but maybe your scatterer atmosphere is too low? I dunno. Looking good though- 2,453 replies

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I understand that, but what's the point? Why would one use this? Is it just easier to implement than land control? -

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]

that is an issue with OpenGl/DX11 and DDS textures. This is an OPM Issue, not SVT or SVE.- 1,019 replies

I will have to add an mm cfg for this now as well i have a question though, if I wanted to create dust kicked up from rover wheels, is that possible? I assume you have the wheels disabled some how so that they aren't constantly "colliding" with the ground. Can I change that? If so can I use the available particles or would you reccomend a new particle effect?

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes, lowering it will lower the detail of the textures. As for what setting you should have it on, that all depends on your rig. For the best results, I keep it on high. Results do not equal performance though, remember that. So if high hurts your performance, bump it down in the settings until you get the performance you want I'll test in in a few do you have kopernicus installed? will you post a picture of your gamedata?- 1,019 replies

[1.4.3] Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul v3.4.0 [UPDATE IN PROGRESS]
Galileo replied to Gameslinx's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Gamel0rd1 make the mod the way YOU want to make it. You can't please everyone and trying will most likely result in a finished product you don't like as much. Seeing how often you are being told how YOUR mod should look, breaks my heart a little. I know you just want to please everyone but sometimes you have to just do what you want to do. If you want a thousand asteroids, put in a thousand asteroids. If you want ice sheets, make ice sheets. If people don't like it, they don't have to download it. You won't see a drop in downloads if what you make is unique and isn't lacking in quality. I can assure you, you won't miss the people that move on.- 2,453 replies

Yes because it creates more problems for modders. I just don't understand the lack of respect/consideration for modders wishes. This is something all modders do for free and I feel 90% of users forget this and feel entitled. Yes, licenses should be more restrictive if you do not want your mod in a pack. I agree with that 100%. I have talked to a few that will change their licenses to something like all rights reserved in the face of this mod pack stuff. Sucks for users and mod pack supporters but some hands have been forced here. Im 29, married, and have a 4 year old daughter. I do not have time to support issues that may arise in a mod pack distribution. I barely have time to support my own distribution. Am I wrong for saying "hey, don't make more work for me."? I don't think so. Obviously, I'm not alone with those feelings. If you want to call that hostility, then so be it. I wouldn't call it that though. It's more like the people that want mod packs fail to look at the creators of these mods as people with lives and refuse to see why mod packs are looked down upon. The entitlement is what bothers me. Users tend to forget that mods are on life support and at any moment the developer can yank the cord and kill it. I only say this because it has happened multiple times, and it will probably happen again. Going against the wishes of the modders will only make it happen sooner and nobody wants that. I'm not trying to fearmonger here, and if this post derails this thread then delete it. Also does me saying "I support mod packs, just not ones that include my mods" make me a hypocrite? I'm just looking out for me here, and I feel like this is how most modders feel as well. Kinda funny.

Maybe you haven't read this, or it's last page. Mod packs are allowed, so long as they follow the rules.

[1.2.X] [Kopernicus] Planet Cyran

It's a bit much to write out here. I'll download the mod and fix what I can and send you the new cfgs. Can you just make a list of the problem bodies? -
[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I believe you are confused about what mods adds what. Scatterer does not add rocks and such. It only adds the atmospheric scattering effect or the haze around a planet. If you do not have ground scatter (rocks, trees or boulders) this is probably because of your settings in the main menu as kamuchi has shown above- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It looks like @KerikBalm doesn't define is own land control node and just lets the laythe template take care of supplying the scatter. I can work on a cfg that adds the nodes needed without it changing anything in game. Just give me a day or so and I'll whip it up- 7,371 replies
