  1. Okay, fine, going back and forth to expand the base. We don't need to shuttle stuff back and forth between x and y 100 times, which is why not having automation is silly in a game where you're going to have to go back and forth between an orbital construction platform and where you're getting resources for said platform.
  2. GU isn't restricted to interplanetary travel, but KSP is. But it will always replace human reaction times and human irrationality. Yeah, but what about going back and forth between Space Station V and Munbase Alpha for an indefinite time to supply parts and resources? That's extremely tedious and you don't learn much.
  3. That's easy to say if you've been playing for 500 hours and have no clue what newer players experience.
  4. I am too, I wonder why they did that? It's possible that the blue tint of the sea level sphere wasn't enough to make the ocean look wet. Imagine sand and dirt colored water all over the surface.
  5. Makes me wonder if Virtual Heroes and Army Game Studio still exists.
  6. I was just starting to accept the new subpar texturing and modelling, and now I'll be stuck noticing this on lots of my lifters!
  7. Purple Green Blue Cyan White Red Yellow Orange Gray Light Greyish Cyan
  8. As I said, NASA has nothing to do with the tts.
  9. 1. NASA only published MBA. Virtual Heroes and Army Game Studio (according to Steam) made the game. 2. No, KSP was created by Felipe. In short, NASA has nothing to do with anything other than putting MBA on the store.
  10. No How else do you clear debris without being boring?
  11. You mean thrusting during non-physics warp? I wish that was a stock feature as well (maybe the ion thruster would become useful), and it is going to become a stock feature of KSP 2. Makes me wonder why this isn't stock.
  12. Finally, someone analysing the new parts. I agree with you all the way, I don't see why they're replacing the 'placeholder' textures other than them being 'placeholders'.If you look at all the teasers and trailers (other than the KSP 2 ones), all the kerbals look like plastic and the environments just look dull, bland and empty. The people doing the 'art' seriously need to start doing a better job, because so far there's many modders doing a better job at revamping the art than the developers of all people. I can see another 'out-pizza'd the hut' meme incoming, and that's a bad thing.
  13. 1. KSP 2 isn't being developed by squad, this is quite obvious given the constant stream of updates that KSP is still getting. 2. "And then Squad is obviously like other games, forget that the first video game I ever played exsisted." Refer to 1. Also, the world doesn't revolve around you. Even if Squad was developing KSP 2, you can't expect a piece of software to be developed for many decades. This is important. Hanson, can you imagine being a dev trying to keep Elite up to date? It's simply not possible, no matter how many fans look at your old games through extreme-power rose-tinted glasses. Also, I bet a lot of people liked the release version of No Man's Sky, even though a lot more people thought it was horrible. No Man's Sky simply had to update so that Hello Games wouldn't be forever seen as another greedy company, and KSP 2 has to be released to stay in the spotlight and inspire people who want to be rocket scientists. And like the first versions of NMS, KSP isn't going anywhere, just that there might be less people playing it. But that doesn't change the game in any way. it does bc I like having friends. KSP isn't multiplayer.
  14. "A vacuum airship powered by a solar powered vacuum pump system is being designed by O-Boot start-up settled in Torino, Italy.[12] The project plans to present the first working and flying prototype during 2020." Nice
  15. Not possible if done with modern technology and fuels. You're just going to have to accept that technology advances. I don't see how bigger rockets and other fuels being discovered isn't hard sci-fi.
  16. Depends on context. Interstellar travel isn't sci-fi, it's a real possibility.
  17. How about we just remove the Mun if it's so not worth it? Extrasolar travel will be worth it, why else would we get KSP 2? A simple rework of KSP 1 wouldn't be worth anything. The purpose of KSP 2 is to introduce new and veterans to future technology, not expand on the current technology that, I'm going to be honest, I'm tired of seeing.
  18. The entire purpose of KSP 2 is that it's going to be KSP 1 with near future technology. What's the point of KSP 2 if it's just going to be a KSP 1 planet pack? The devs might as well have settled as KSP 1 modders if that was the plan.
  19. Have you mentioned greebling yet? The new textures are really lacking in this, and the new parts are starting to look more like plastic models than actual rocket parts. Not to mention that Squad should've just increased the quality of the old parts, the new parts go against the jerry-rigged-looking style all the parts had before.
  20. KSP 2 seems to want there to be a journey in interstellar travel as opposed to wormholes that may not even exist. Jump drives are a bad idea, alien or not.
  21. So we're all just going to assume everyone has access to mods just because OP has them too?
