  1. I had a contract to haul a Class-A asteroid into orbit, so today I did that. Surprisingly, it turned out to be a magic boulder of the purple variety. I also performed course correction burns for my Eve probes, and sent a satellite to Minmus for a contract, but I didn't get pictures of those.
  2. NSF's weekly summary of activities in Boca, if you're interested: P.S: They have an 'Orange Rocket Good' shirt in their merch store. Burn the heretics!
  3. Nice work! I knew you could get serious speed by exploiting the steering of those giant wheels but I didn't know that you could actually break the sound barrier using them
  4. This is probably a bit late as the storm has already arrived, but I hope everyone is safe...
  5. @Aniruddh Isn't it the inclination? Unless I'm misinterpreting your question.
  6. I know, but for a while the road was closed and it seemed like something was going to happen. Since the conditions are going to worsen the later they get into the testing window, testing is probably unlikely today.
  7. Static fire livestream courtesy of NSF. The road reopened for a few minutes and the stream almost ended as a result, but now it's closed again so the test may still go ahead. Edit: Stream over, for real this time. Nothing has happened yet, the road is open and vehicles are at the pad.
  8. @Beale's part modding tutorial is excellent for learning basic KSP model making, I would recommend you check it out - I decided to have a go at it this afternoon and it's easier than it looks (at least the actual model making part).
  9. I don't want to get into the metallic hydrogen debate, but given that most people on this forum are fine with OP reaction wheels, neutron-star density planets and infinitely restartable rocket engines, I'm not worried about accepting that metallic hydrogen engines work in the Kerbal universe. And the flexibility of KSP works in your favour if you're still not happy - you can always just not use those particular engines, or make a mod to remove them from the game if you want. On topic: These tutorials look great, and I can't wait to see more KSP 2 stuff
  10. As others have already said, it varies between installs. I have a fully stock install for various testing, my main (career) install with ~30 mods, and everything in between. In terms of what types of mods I use, it's mostly gameplay mods, with a couple of part mods - though only part mods I deem essential - Kerbal Reusability Expansion, Missing History and SCANsat, to name a few. I don't use any visual mods (not even Restock, I prefer the stock art style) as my computer is graphically challenged.
  11. I successfully flew and landed a vehicle with an off-centre engine, just as SpaceX will do with Starship SN5. It took many attempts. Can't wait to see the real thing!
  12. A header tank was spotted at the build site around a week ago, so maybe they're planning to install it when SN8 gets stacked?
  13. Yes, it appears that the fully stacked fairing destined for SN8 doesn't have header tanks, even though SN8 is the vehicle that's supposedly going to do the first 20km bellyflop.
  14. Yep, Mk1's fins are definitely a lawn ornament now. And SN2 could be turning into a water tower. Maybe the fins will be used for a super-cool restaurant?
  15. Usually it's printed on the bell, but in the video above the side of the bell with the serial number wasn't visible.
  16. A new Raptor has arrived! I wonder what it's for... (also, robots )
  17. This just in: more nosecones, SN8's common dome, and a fuelling test! Get your copy now!
