  1. Ekranoplane, I think. Ground effect lift. I read on reddit from Nate the other day that procedural engines were not in release due to issues with balancing game progression or something like that.
  2. Needs a balance. KSP1 aero is not realistic, but CFD modelling of shockwaves is not reasonable. I'm sure they can manage a good middle ground, seeing as many flight sims have in the past. I'd be interested in a dev diary on it, but I'd rather the time go into making the game better. It'll be fine, and if not - someone will fix it.
  3. Another delay. That's what I do not want. Anything else can be worked with.
  4. I watched this a couple dozen times. Can't wait to land on planet Gudetama.
  5. Already saw one with a goatee in a video, so it's probably in the cards.
  6. I'm less worried about the planets than I am about having no tech progression challenge left by the time I get there.
  7. I suspect that moon is gonna be pretty neat... possibly distorted in shape or torn apart somewhat.
  8. Realistic weather is an eventual must, especially for other planets. Area around KSC should have no wind, to a light breeze always. If wind has to be contended with on a real-world version of a planet like that, it should be in the game as well. After 10 years, I look forward to new challenges in KSP. I want weather diversity.
  9. Interstellar aerobraking challenge accepted.
  10. I think by now, probably all of the planets to be released with the game will have already been decided on. But it would be neat to fly through the gravity center of a body somehow.
  11. Assuming the same dates as previous years, April 1st, 2022 through March 31, 2023.
  12. I just had a peek through the T2 interactive 4th quarter earnings release. Still no mention of KSP releasing in fiscal 22, so still on track for fiscal 23 release. That gives us around a year to the earliest likely release date. It's possible they will plan it for the KSP anniversary date?
  13. https://mashable.com/article/kerbal-space-program-2-interview?amp&utm_campaign=mash-com-tw-main-link&utm_contnet=entertainment&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=social&__twitter_impression=true I think it's this one.
  14. Jeb plush is available now for preorder, btw... In event you were not made aware.
  15. I'm beginning to become concerned that there will be another delay. Anyone else? Edit 5 hours later: It was just gas, everything is fine.
  16. I can't see them discounting a new game that was delayed 2-3 years anytime near release. Maybe a discount on the OST, or a free digital comic book or something like that, but they sunk millions into this and need to get it back. You can almost certainly get a discount if you're willing to wait a few years, tho.
  17. The robotic arms could just be for show, since the BAE is how you put things together. BAE would be much less of a pain to use than grappling arms, and you could attach your part in half a second instead of 15 minutes. Maybe the arms and their reach are how the limits of the orbital launch facility are determined. I think for many cases, this approach would be superior to actually manipulating parts into place by fiddling with joint interfaces.
  18. Check out testflight mod for random failures and increased reliability with use and research. Check out realism overhaul/RSS/RP1 for in depth management and absolute realism at the expense of fun and accessibility (ymmv).
  19. Nobody knows the specs for sure yet. Good news is that Nate said in a recent interview that they are putting in a lot of effort to get it to run well on the broadest range of systems possible.
  20. Find the connection between the ship and station. On the station side of that connection, look directly up. It's light grey.
  21. It would be deeply unfortunate for KSP2 not to have robotic parts at launch. I would consider it incomplete without them. Human space program has them, and KSP1 has them, so KSP2 should have them too. In fact, I'm about 99.9% certain I've seen them on at least one of the videos. You can see what looks almost certainly like a multi-joint arm right next to one of the interplanetary ships at its construction dock. I don't remember the particular video, but if you find that scene you can see the arms.
  22. I'm all for radiation being a concern. Would be nice to have displayable magnetic fields from planets and moons once we have probed them for that info. Shielding from radiation is a major concern for manned spaceflight, and should be in KSP2 in a reasonable way.
