Remember, all the footage that we got was from pre-alpha, in such phase, their focus is to just make the game work. I've saw some pre-alpha footage from other games, and the amount of optimization that can be done in proper Alpha and Beta is astonishing!

Why is Life Support missing on the KSP2 Roadmap?
Davi SDF replied to Vl3d's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
In my opinion, i wouldn't mind having something like TAC Life Suport, but i know that most will disagree, and that's fine! Even if there is no LS, modders will add it anyway! But being honest, i hope there is a very basic radiation and life support systems (Life Support being "Snacks" and radiation being "perhaps i shouldn't put my crew cabin beside a nuclear engine"), or at least something most would be confortable with. -
Hello! I'm sorry to bother, but is there any way to integrate System Heat Boil Off with the LOX boil off patch? Cryotanks gives the hability to keep LH2 and LCH4 cooled, but i don't have the option to keep LOX cooled.

[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)
Davi SDF replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Are you using Textures Ulimited Recolor Depot? I had the same issue when using Restock + TURD. -

The Kerbals on my Duna colony decided to rebel against me, all that because they were "Self sufficient" and "Didn't need me anymore". So i decided to use my brain instead of my brawn, and make this! Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you the brand new Mark 40,000 power armor! It's big, powerfull... It's pilots are loyal to the KSC! Can stand many harsh enviroments thanks to it's heavy, unwieldy and useless backpack survival unit! And most importantly, comes with a big-s gun! Jeb definetly liked it ...I just wonder if he can be trusted with it...

I thought SSPX's largest centrifuge wasn't big enough for my project... so i decided to make one! Full album here: https://imgur.com/a/8qNCz5p I called it: ORANOS (not officially... yet) Its very big... SSPX's largest centrifuge for comparison: Sadly, thanks to stock robotics not being very stiff, they became very bendy on the construction process : ( But, i thought it looked good anyway: No, i did not send it to orbit on a rocket, i cheated for testing purposes (I like making my life harder, but i am not that much of a masochist)

What areas of future technology would you like to see?
Davi SDF replied to t_v's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I would love to see advanced Nuclear Thermal Rockets and even advanced Chemical Rockets! Like tripropellant rocket engines, wich can have even higher ISPs than bipropellant rockets! -
KSP 1 & 2 Lore - Make Up Your Own!
Davi SDF replied to intelliCom's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I think small things like the parts descriptions are more than satisfying bits of story for me. Specially with how absurd and hilarious it can get (Kerbals literally DYING out of shock, Kerbals being sent to what's pratically death because they were smart once). Planets and starts too have some beautifully funny pieces of the """story""" (Laythe being my favourite). Now, a grand story with large scale consequences... i am more undecided on that one. Though, if we have the option to ignore it would be very welcome if one wants to just have fun in Sandbox. -
Climate Change and Will FUSION Stop it
Davi SDF replied to Superluminal Gremlin's topic in Science & Spaceflight
My only guess would be no, Fusion power is the called the power of the future for a reason, we are far from taking a lot of energy out of it. To help stop climate change we would need to start investing heavily in replacing all our fossil fuels energy sources with Nuclear or Renewables (most likely a mix of both)... But that would take a loooong time, and that's something we are lacking. -
To be fair, KSP's universe is much smaller, so we don't need such beasts (that is, until you are tired of docking and want to put a big station in orbit)
-
Now, put 4 of them together in an engine plate and call it Mammoth2

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Davi SDF replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
if i am not wrong you can just transfer it like normal liquid fuel, as long as you have the engineer aboard. -
Awesome to see this insight in part making! Just cannot wait to play (actually, i can wait, take your time!)!

Kerbal Space Program 2: Episode 5 - Interstellar Travel
Davi SDF replied to StarSlay3r's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
While i do understand and appreciate the desire for realism, i think we also have to consider the main aspect of the game: Fun. If it's implemented correctly, building a ship that has to account for interstellar debris can be fun. But... i doubt it. I don't want to be punished for slamming into a 10cm rock that i couldn't spot at interstellar distance. That doesn't sound very fun. We also don't have a really good way to deal with interstellar debris, our only options are a huge and really really THICK shield, or HUGE lasers that would certainly put a strain in the ship's power. ALSO: Pill ships dont look nearly as cool as hard Sci-Fi esque ships- 344 replies

Real scale star system
Davi SDF replied to Ryaja's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't think there's need for a Real scale system in stock KSP2, the parts would need to be radically rebalanced to make them usable in the new system. -
Many of these are easily avoidable by "just don't do it". Although some like "Parts clipping in the ground when loading" and "Spinning ladders" really should be fixed, but that is assuming that those bugs even exist in KSP2 in the first place. Also, i'll be honest, i don't know about you, but going around the system with a Kraken drive to troll new players sounds really funny to me.
