  1. Which is where we are at right now. 0.2.2 was released at the beginning of June...and nothing since. I know people have said that the development branches are being updated on Steam, but I'm not putting any stock in that.
  2. I've got a few, but not that many. TUBM plays KSP1 without mods.
  3. St. Petersburg (Soviet capital prior to Moscow)
  4. Being able to find a universe contained in a grain of sand is cheating.

  6. So today, Bob decided that he wanted to go to the Moon. Not Mun, but Moon. See, the Kerbals got all kinds of discom-Bob-ulated when we switched to KSRSS, and now they are just running their own show. So here we see Bob in a command module after having rendezvoused with a refueling ship in LEO. We here at the Las Kerbas Space Agency (LKSA) are unsure how Bob was able to get so close considering neither he nor the probe core on either ship have any amount of SAS control. We think Bob may just be lying to us, but we can't deny that this shot over Earth does look pretty cool. At least it does to us in the Tracking Station. Anyhow, Bob successfully made it to and landed on the Moon. In one piece, even! Look at him just standing there, all proud and happy and stuff. He thinks he's so cool. Just wait until we tell him where he's headed to next. Hint: it rhymes with Bars. But, anyhow, upon his return he gave us all that data so we could convert it into that sweet-smelling science. Just look at where we are with our research now! Sure could have used those Terrier engines for this trip. But que sera, and all. We are a bit miffed at Bob, even though he went to the Moon and back. See, he was supposed to bring us some paper weights (read: Moon stones) back, but he failed to hit the gift shop before coming home. He says he looked around for one but that he couldn't find it. We don't believe him.
  7. And you failed to actually address both your statement and my response to it. Show me one post where someone official says the game is over and dead and cancelled and I'll retract everything I've said. We both know you can't, simply because it hasn't happened. [snip] And at that I'm done. Unless, of course, you want to show me where it's officially been cancelled? No? Can't do it? Then I'm out. Most people don't. But failing to understand that it hasn't been made official is what's getting under my skin right now. Which is why I'm done with this conversation. I'm not putting any more energy into trying to state facts when nobody wants to listen.
  8. No, I'm trying to tell the community that the game is not officially dead even though we may all think it is. The only thing that makes the game officially dead is word from the owner of the IP. That doesn't mean that I'm trying to say it isn't, only that it isn't official. Big difference, and one that you obviously aren't grasping. Show me one post - anywhere, from anyone official - that stated point blank that the game is dead and I'll retract everything I've said to this point. Just one. I play for no corporate entity, so you saying this is simply and flat-out wrong. The REALITY is that nobody official has said the game is dead. That's not conjecture, that's not naivety. That is fact. Not to mention you are ignoring entire portions of my post where I AGREE WITH YOU THAT THE GAME SEEMS TO BE DECEASED. I can't state it any more plainly than that. Ok, I have no idea why people here aren't capable of reading this morning, but I've stated - both above and in previous posts - THAT I AGREE THAT THE GAME APPEARS TO BE DEAD. What part of that did you miss? The big thing here is that it isn't officially cancelled. Yes, all signs point to it not continuing, but until it's officially cancelled it's akin to 2K Marin - still there, still available, just lying there. I don't get why people are having a hard time understanding that I can be both on the side of "It appears to be dead to my eyes" and also stating "But no official word has come out, so it's not officially dead yet". What is so hard to understand about that?
  9. No, it's not. You saying it's dead does not make it official. The community saying it's dead does not make it official. Only 1 entity can come out and clearly and definitively say it's dead and have it be official. That isn't me wanting something specific to be said to make it so. It's a fact. None of us owns the IP. Not you, not me, not anyone on the forums. And the only person/entity that can make it official is whomever owns the IP. Again, that's a fact.
  10. Hard agree on this. The music is probably my favorite part about the game. The first time I heard the music when going to the Mun I was like "What did they do to our standard music here", and after a few moments I started tapping my feet along with it.
  11. You kind of proved my point with 2K Marin. TT canned the developers, and the studio has done nothing for years. But it was never officially shut down, so for all practical purposes, it's still open and available to develop games. Conventional wisdom says it's closed, but officially? And I never said they did. I said that until they do say anything, nothing is official other than what we know - the developers are laid off, and IG is shut down. Neither of which means KSP2 or any related IP is dead. And the only proof you require that it is dead is that the studio is shut down. Which is arbitrary and dangerous considering Star Theory was shut down but the IP was moved to IG. There is nothing that says that cannot happen here. Show me where it's been officially stated and I'll let it go. Can't do that? Then there is nothing that says it is dead. I'll use conventional wisdom and agree with you that the game is probably not going to go any farther than it has to this point. And while I'm not stupid enough to believe it isn't dead, the FACT is that we don't know one way or the other for sure. That's probably the most pedantic thing I've read on this forum. We aren't talking about a living organism that can be checked for breathing and a heartbeat. I thought KSP2 was in serious jeopardy after For Science! was released to some fanfare that went really quiet after it was determined how railroaded the mission sequence was. Couple that with all of the persistent bugs from day 1, and you can see that it never looked good. Again, I believe in conventional wisdom, and it LOOKS like the IP is dead. And I hold no hope that it will be revived, either by PD, some other internal publisher/studio, or being sold to an outsider. Something we agree upon. The studio - whether through their own fault OR through faulty management at TT OR through a combination of both - fouled this one up. Royally. Which has caused the game to be on nothing more than life support since 0.1.5, with very little substance being provided. Still not dead officially, but pretty darned close. And this game reinforces, at least to me and my own pocketbook, why one should never throw out money for an EA game. I've done it several times in the last year - KSP2, Juno, KitHack - and all have been mediocre at best. KitHack is a fun time-waster with no real substance, and Juno is...I can't even put into words how disappointing it has become. Like KSP2, such potential being wasted. It just simply doesn't hold my attention the same way KSP1 did (and to be clear, someone else's mileage may vary on this, and if it does, I truly hope you are living your best Juno life playing it). I wish it did, but it doesn't. Anyhow, I've digressed. EA simply isn't worth it - in my own, non-scientific, unverified opinion. Especially when the cost to get involved is the same as a full price game ($50). And especially when the developers stop talking to the community a few weeks after launch.
  12. I wish there was documentation available and a tutorial on how to mod the game. I can code, but I need help when diving into something new the first time or two.
  13. Right. It hasn't been stated exactly, so you are merely making the assumption that it is. Because why, exactly? If you go alphabetically or chronologically, no it shouldn't be first. Again, no. It could be in active development and they could do this. There is nothing really that says it has to be one way or the other based on non-factual observation. I want to be clear that I do not believe the game is going to remain in development after this week. I personally think the game is dead. But nothing that happens short of the company saying so means it is.
  14. I am aware of that. None of what he posted said KSP2 was dead, though.
  15. Did I miss something? Did Dakota state that KSP2 is dead for reals and for certain?
  16. Kennebunkport (It is in Maine)
  17. <insert an equally unoriginal and non-witty retort here>
  18. Meh. TUBM is more.excited to read my post than I was to read @ColdJ's post.
  19. I think what you really need to check for when launching said rocket is wobble at the joints above and below the mismatched part sizes. Although the design you provided above shouldn't have much (if any) wobble, larger craft will almost certainly flex in weird ways right around that spot you don't want to use a plate or fairing at.
  20. Oh, I only said you could. I never said you should, or that it was legal.
  21. Well, you can decompile the assembly, but not the executable. And forget the assets; they are tied up somewhere and we really can't get to them.
  22. Let me correct this for you: Somehow, you failing to provide an answer to a specific question that wasn't even asked is making your example invalid. Bej has a history of moving the goal-posts to suit their own narrative. The issue that was brought up, as you quoted, was that there would be an impact on the IP. You gave an example - which wasn't asked for, by the way - and that's all you can do. No need to get angry. Your playing more now actually helps the argument the Fizzlebop made about player counts going up due to there being an impact on the IP. There's really no need for you to get upset over something that he is actually agreeing with you on.
  23. After thinking on this, I'm left with the question "Does it matter that Nate was online on one day recently". like, does it have any impact on anything that is going on? And I keep coming back to the same answer: Nope. How many people log on to this - or any other - site and don't post? In all fairness to Nate, I'm sure he is reading these comments but either doesn't care OR can't speak due to the NDA. Or probably a combination of both; I'm sure he's quite numb to the vitriol and feedback at this point.
