Experiment Storage Unit usage
Superfluous J replied to Hoozemans's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Do you have any mods installed? I believe that ForScience has the ability to (basically) turn every command pod into a storage unit, and automatically collect data there. It could be grabbing all data it can whenever it notices there's some available. The only other thing I can think is that nothing can store 2 identical science reports, so if you have 2 surface samples from the same biome, "transfer all" won't transfer both of them into the storage pod, and will leave one where it was. You may be mistaking this action for the science report being moved? -
You are absolutely correct. Estimations that are correct, informed, or even somewhat based in information are not what the OP wanted. I mistakenly thought they were trying to gather useful information. To answer the OP again, then: My guess is 7.
-
Misplaced comma? Though, "So far each, one has been worth it" isn't syntactically correct so I don't know. To answer the OP, there are many estimates for when any update past the 2nd (due in a couple days) will come out. Every single one of those is based on nothing but conjecture and supposition. Or, to put it more succinctly and quote Bej Kerman from this very thread:

Don't know. Ask him in the next AMA. I can't. I don't own the game yet. Again I don't know how much is in the game. Very likely. Comes with being a (good) boss.
-
4 seconds on Google got me his LinkedIn page. So he's the boss and organizer, and does artistic story type things (like, likely, the tutorials)
-
Not to mention I've got hundreds of thousands of hours in it and I've not made it to space once.

It's public information and functions for your game, so modders can more easily write mods.

Weekly Challenge #6 - Build a Capybara!
Superfluous J replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
I don't. Wat. -
But the context around that math is the somewhat ridiculous position that if they ever release two updates 29 days apart THEY LIED TO US AND WE HATESES THEM FOR IT. If they release updates every 3 weeks, every 6 weeks, every 8 weeks, who cares? You'll get it when you get it go play something else in the meantime. I don't care at what exact point a set of weeks becomes 1.00001 months, when a human speaks and says "weeks, not months" then give them a tiny bit of leeway before you decide the whole thing is kaput and they lied to us. (that 2nd paragraph is not directed at you, scarecrow)

I'm no programmer but it feels like they could just slap a "runway" texture on the planet surface, instead of putting all of KSC on a big block.
-
5 weeks is still "weeks"
-
Now on to question 2: Are they flat like KSP1's runways, or do they curve to match the surface of the planet like any reasonable runway would do?

I want to upgrade
Superfluous J replied to DavidDavYT's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I believe you have to right-click them. Clicking goes into the building, right-clicking brings up the upgrade window. -
If I had the game, I'd happily put something on one end, drive to the other end, and tell you the distance. But I can't Maybe after the science update drops I'll buy the game and if no one has answered your question, I'll do it then.
-
Were you able to give it axial tilt?
-
I know everybody says they just copied KSP1 and slapped a "2" on it but they actually didn't. Considering its absence, I'm willing to assume that the internal workings of this entirely different game have made just copying it from KSP1 be not an option.
-
Wait that wasn't a joke? Or are you doubling down?
-
I agree with most of this, but I'd change that for me, it entirely has to do with the price and not who's releasing it. I would happily buy a $20 KSP2 game released by a AAA developer as Early Access in its current state. I would not have bought a $50 KSP2 game released by HarvesteR or anybody else, no matter how "indie" or "mainstream" they are. For me, this is 100% to do with the implied contract between game seller and game buyer. In EA, we get a significantly cheaper game in exchange for that game being garbage compared to full releases, with the knowledge that that might be all we ever get, that we should submit bug reports, and that future versions of the game are free for us. Getting a an eventually finished $60 game in the current state for $50 isn't worth it for me. That's where it starts and ends in my book.

No Kerbal Ragdolls
Superfluous J replied to BowlerHatGuy3's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
I could not disagree more. Watching a Kerbal slide down a slope on Minmus for 15 minutes, unable to even switch control to something else so I can at least be productive while they slide, was a terrible "feature" that I'm happy to know is not in KSP2. If all you want is them to fall down sometimes, sure that's fine. -
I'll give you a like. I got the joke.
-
Are you taking suggestions? Fly Low on Tylo: Do a Tylo flyby (escape velocity) as close to the ground as you can stomach.

It's just for converting to console. I mean you always hear how hard that is now you know.

This sort of talk reminds me of this video.
