  1. Hmmm, a space station that did figure 8s around two systems would be interesting.
  2. Hmmm. New idea. Making mobile colonies by attaching rockets and parachutes to the colony either by attachment with the BAE or through the use of the claw. Another idea, underwater colonies. If buoyancy is fixed in game, sinking a colony to the ocean depths should be fun.
  3. We saw them launch it on the Mun though. Not on Kerbin.
  4. I was thinking about this. There's only two possibilities I can think of. 1) All parts have multiple textures we can switch on demand in the VAB/SPH Or 2) There is a in editor painting tool
  5. Ksp 2 cant run in Ksp 1. Ksp 1's code is too old and unstable. A fresh new game will allow them to correct problems with KSP 1, while also allowing KSP 2 to become better.
  6. Sandbox will probably let you just use it. Career will probably either stop you or want you against it.
  7. Maybe this would work as a hard mode effect.
  8. Yeah, but technically the Orion Drive is NOT an in atmo engine.
  9. Shhhhh, it's not nuking, its launching them at intense speeds for fun.
  10. Basically what the title says. What are your wacky ideas for KSP 2? Here's a few of mine: Project Daedalus times 9 - 9 Daedalus engines strapped to one ship. In the wiki for Daedalus I read that the drive would propel a craft to 0.12 C over 4 years. I wonder if I could get to 0.99 C with more. If not, I'll reach 0.12 C before 4 years. The only problem I see is braking. Hmmm. Lithobraking using the Daedalus drives as heat shields? I mean, it was supposed to be made to survive the heat of a fusion reaction. Orion Drive jet plane - What? I'm only thinking Kerbal. SSTO with Orion Drive - it may be a bad idea, but I'll have an interstellar SSTO. Project Daedalus Kerbal Cannon - indestructible Kerbal cheat, plus Daedalus... nuff said. Orion Drive Kerbal Cannon - ... >:) Solar orbit colony - They'll be fine. As long as Jeb remembered to pack the sun screen. *Bill whispers* Jeb forgot the sunscreen? Eh... I'm sure it will be fine. Massive Plane that takes up both runways - Because I want a giant rocket plane launcher.
  11. It will be instant based on what we know. Building Assembly Editor is the way we make the colony. So it will most likely be like the VAB, but live.
  12. They won't make a specific laptop version. They will add the ability to downgrade graphics so that your laptop could run it though.
  13. Okay, I guess you could find ways to limit it, but it would still be a hassle, and that's not preventing abuse, that's just a solution to revert the abuse.
  14. Still room for abuse. "Hey can I join you?" "I don't know." "I only want to see what you're working on." "Okay." [Ninjamaster_123 has joined the build process] *Ninjamaster_123 proceeds to randomly and quickly add and delete parts before they can be kicked.* "Hahahahhahahahaha" - Ninjamaster_123
  15. Please take the topic of planet size to a different thread as it is off topic for this one. I have made another thread dedicated to talks about planet size.
  16. Real solar system will never be stock imo. That's not what the game is about. The RSS and RO mods will be ported though, I'm sure of that.
  17. I feel the same way, leave it up to the mods.
  18. I've seen a lot of talk about scale for the new planets. I personally don't want any rescale of the original plants. KSP is supposed to be fun and relatively easy (After hours and hours of playing around with it). I think increasing the planets sizes would take the fun out of it for quite a portion of the community. With that being said, having an option to change the scaling in the create new game menu would be fine. I think it should be it's own separate scaling, not tied to difficulty as I can see some people, myself included, wanting to paly with regular size Kerbal planets, and then having it on hard difficulty. So I'm making a poll to see what people think is the best.
  19. Isn't it supposed to go up to 5? Because of SLS's new launch pad and Space X's new launch pad for BFR?
  20. Thanks, and I do say that these and things in the pre-alpha I noticed.
  21. I don't think it should. A lot of players like the small size because you're not spending time and effort making huge rockets to get into space, then wasting more time and effort getting to the Mun or anywhere else. They're not copying Kennedy Space Center, just adopting the feel. IRL KSC has a lot of launch pads. Ah, right. Forgot about that, thanks. Although I disagree with size changing, and think it should be left up to modders, I wouldn't mind the size change being in the options. Although, I dont think it should be tied to difficulty. What if I wanted to play stock size plant on hard? No, plant scale should not be tied to difficulty, rather it should have it's own dedicated slider under the advanced menu tab. But guys, this isnt to talk about what we want, it is to talk about what we can see in the trailer. Please keep it on topic.
  22. If you enlarge the steam page first screenshot, you can actually see clouds over the ocean. It's hard to see but they are there. My guess is that clouds will be from space only (planet texture), no in atmosphere clouds.
  23. 4 years to get up to 12% the speed of light. Coast until you're 4 years away from your target, 4 years of burning, arrival.
