  1. The engine might be an aerospike without the spike in the center, though the drawings all depict a bell, which is weird. Maybe the injectors are in a ring around the combustion chamber? Just spit balling. Then again, there doesn't seem to be a combustion chamber. It looks like the LOX tank is literally sitting above the throat. So maybe the throat has a ring of injectors? No combustion chamber, just sparking the throat as the fuel comes through? Again, just spit balling. I didn't see a diagram of the engine in the PDF, just SRB cross sections. Btw, @Zorg How's the RL/MB-60 coming along? It's been about a month, any updates?
  2. Apparently, this is a Nova proposal from Boeing. So, good luck finding anything on it. Honestly, it looks like Boeing took MM 14A design and just made the second stage have 1 engine instead of 4.
  3. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Delta V (Delta IV 7M CCB) with 4m DCSS launching a 7-ton payload into a ~250 km x ~250 km 90-degree orbit. Btw, @Zorg Do you have that Delta PDF file on hand? The one that shows the Delta IV expansion concepts like the 7m core and the 8m core?
  4. @DaveyJ576 Kennan fits well enough if you use the MOL Solar Array, the one that rolls up. Mind you, it's not the right shape, but it's better than nothing I guess.
  5. Isn't Hubble an early block Kennan? And doesn't Hubble's original solar panels attach to the thin part of the fuselage? I think the panels on Hubble rested against the thin fuselage before launch then unfolded into the wider fuselage.
  6. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Eagle S-VII (Kitbash) launching a 7-ton payload into a 295.8 km x 282.7 km @ 90-degree (Equatorial) orbit. It ran out of fuel before it could fully circularize... but hey, an almost 300 km circular orbit is not bad for a small LV like this imo. Based off: Eagle (b14643.de) Teaser image: Delta V (Delta IV 7m)
  7. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Delta Heavy lifting the DHSS (Delta Hypergolic Second Stage) and a 10 ton payload into a ~499.7 x ~514.5 km @ 18.047 degree orbit. Yes, the TWR is agonizingly low. Yes, it took a LONG time for the burns with the DHSS. But hey, I wanted to put a Hypergolic Delta into orbit. Also, does anyone know a patch that fixes the buildings with Kerbal Konstructs and relating mods to put them in the right position on a rescaled kerbin? I use Sigma Dimensions and Rescale: 2.5x Config.
  8. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Jeb testing the personal munar mobility device... didn't go so well, but he's fine. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Carrack launches a test article of the ACSS, or Agena Cryogenic Second Stage. It was able to go into a sun orbit and escape Kerbin's SOI. The Pg got lower than Eve's orbit.
  9. So, KSP 2 releases, hopefully, in 2023. BDB 2.0 can be expected in... 2028. Got it. /jk But in all seriousness, since KSP 2.0 is all about interplanetary missions, I would suggest you guys work backwards in terms of rocket eras. Give us Saturn V and all the parts associated first so we can have interplanetary capabilities with the fictional Saturn Vs. Then work on the others from there.
  10. @Zorg Looks great! Is there going to be a dual payload adpater to join them together like in some of the concept drawings, or no?
  11. Oh wow, okay. My mistake. That looks a lot like contares klipper to me, had to double take lol.
  12. I don't think Tantares had Kliper at all. Maybe you're thinking of Bobcat's Kliper mod?
  13. Huh, weird. My titan I launch just wouldn't make it. The Dv Mechjeb said it required would creep over the Dv available.
  14. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Wanted to launch Mercury with something other than Atlas. Tried Titan I first, that didn't work. Titan I upper with Titan II lower didn't work either. Tried a Ablestar on top of a Castor boosted Redstone, that didn't work, so fully decided to put some power behind it and go with Delta 900. Finally made it into a low 110 x 100 km orbit.
  15. No, it's DCSS with 2 engines instead of one. This was a real proposal, and it was actually up for order by ULA IIRC, but no one took it. @Zorg Knows more about the twin engine DCSS.
  16. I'm not sure, but you can find the real names to kerbalized names here: Tantares Names · friznit/Unofficial-Tantares-Wiki Wiki · GitHub
  17. Full album: Imgur: The magic of the Internet Delta Heavy (6,0,2) (Boosters, SRBs, RL-10s) launching ~40 tons to 3360 x 3360 km 90 degree orbit. 2.5x Scale. Had practically no Dv left. The outer boosters fuel each other and then the inner core. You can't use differential throttle, too heavy. And yes, the booster in the first separation pic did almost collide with the core.
  18. There is no thread that I know of, and I've only ever seen one image. I think it is up on the SOCK thread.
  19. SLS core tank is too large for STS. And like @Jacktical said, @Invaderchaos is doing the ORANGES mod, alongside @EStreetRockets. The mod isn't released yet, so we'll have to wait a little bit.
