Hello there. Tell us a little something about yourself! Have you been playing the game long before joining the forum, or are you a newcomer to both? KSP has got quite a steep learning curve, but the feeling of accomplishment is incredible once you master it. If you got any specific difficulties, we have help and tutorial sub-forums, and if your question isn't answered there already (there's a good chance it is!), feel free to create a thread or two.

discomfort. (that's a period there, guys! Start a new sentence!)

Same here, in Brazil. Hot, rainy summer Christmas. That, the fact that both Christmas and New year's eve are on weekends this year and I'll have no vacation or extended leave whatsoever, and the fact that I'm not a Christmas kind of guy already to begin with, means I'm not too excited about it. I do enjoy New year's a lot, but this year... meh. Too much going on here for me to enjoy it But let me not poop in your party! Have a nice one, everyone. I know to some people Christmas is a very special family time. Enjoy your families! Ahahahaha!

Cópia descarada do tópico "ban the user above you"

Um... @Badie, @UomoCapra... you forgot the last giveaway available since Tuesday, and now it's time for a new one already

LOL "De Choppa" That's actually a pretty good one! I'm naming my rescue ships just that, now.

This. And, as moderators, there's no way for us to read a thread and not know what has been deleted and/or warned. It's almost the opposite impression you guys have: to a normal user everything is roses, while to a moderator it's sometimes this: (I kid, obviously. I mean, it's true what I said, but the last part is an exaggeration. This is a very good community and there's not that much bad behavior away from your sight) Yes your reports are very familiar to us. Also, this. Remember, the only users who ever know a post was reported are the mods; we then discuss it and, if we think it's needed, we might warn the offending party, and again no other user apart from the moderators and the warned person will know that. So, have no fear of report-retaliation, have no heavy conscience that your friend might feel betrayed, and remember we try to be fair with our punishment. Just don't abuse it (such as reporting something just because you disagree). Oh, that thread has very good advice! Among them: try to disarm the offending party by being polite to them. Sometimes a user is acting offensive and rude, but they've really just had a very bad day.

I could keep this conversation all day, and this thread would get larger than the number war, so... do we stop here, or take it to The Lounge? Your root is too square.
-
Why, yes it is! "The cube root" is usually interpreted as "the real cube root", but the real answer (ha) should be "the cube roots" Keep calm and notate your exponents.
-
I have no idea what you did, but I get an answer consistent with @Snark's. And I just noticed (my) Google interprets the dot as a thousand separator rather than a decimal for me, but it does so only on the input and not on the output. So I have to type in the comma, and get a dot in return. It's become more of a "throw a logic bomb at the mods and see them collapse" one.

Console Patches Update Discussion
monstah replied to James M's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I'm optimistic too. Just bear in mind that "saving the day" is not the same "as saving this day"; it might still take a while. Squad's official position is "early next year"; that's anything from "in three weeks" to "within the next 4 months". -
I didn't miss it, I interpreted it as a thousand separator (like we use in Brazil), and omitted it; I interpreted Google's dot as a decimal separator (because of the exponential notation) and used that in my answer. The difference should be a factor of thousand ^ (15/3), or... a quadrillion Conventions.

Yes, me! @Val?
-
Don't know, the other mods will have to answer that. We were discussing this recently, actually. Being active, having a good disposition. Being willing to take some flak. And being invited to become one when the existing ones are overwhelmed. Post count of 1500, I believe (got my 5th recently!). 2.2766176e20

All threads will be merged into a single one.

That and "it doesn't cost anything trying". Well, it doesn't cost anything to Google, either, and if in less than ten seconds I can switch from WhatsApp, Google and find at least three results calling whatever it was BS, then I say that yes, trying (whatever it is) costs a lot: your ability to think through anything critically before accepting blindly what you're told. Seriously, the things people share on WhatsApp and Facebook and etc. are appalling Some of these (in the OP) are actually funny, but they should be shared as what they are: humour, not knowledge.

What? Hey, look, I got 5 dots too. Hadn't noticed that before. Yeah, it's been a good long run, right? And I don't suppose either of us is going to stop playing this game so soon, so I figure the run will still be longer. Cheers, man!

Yes. KSP is not dead, but some good content is (like @TriggerAu's mod dev blog from before he joined Squad)
