Celestial Centaur, because we can!
Oh, for those who are interested, the first few variants of the Celestial rocket are now on KerbalX. Just be aware they are mod-heavy:

https://kerbalx.com/ManateeAerospace/Celestial-Voyager
https://kerbalx.com/ManateeAerospace/Celestial-Medium-1206-2

Celestial Centaur isn't posted yet, but should be up later this week (I'm starting to get sleepy and I have work tomorrow). I have other ideas too. On that note let me ask y'all: Shuttle SRB's or Delta SRB's?

I was web surfing the other day and came across this page from a French astronautics forum:

https://www.forum-conquete-spatiale.fr/t17935-evolution-du-lem-apollo-au-1-48eme-scratch-par-tezio?highlight=Evolution

It is probably the best recounting of the Apollo LM evolution that I have seen in one place. This guy does some excellent modeling work. It would be really cool if some of this could be eventually incorporated into BDB2. I especially like the NASA 62, Von Braun 62, Grumman 62 "Bug" (currently available in the Alternate Apollo mod, but needs some TLC), and the Grumman 63A and 63B models. As a kid I remember seeing many of these designs in books so I would be great to run alternate Apollo missions using these designs that never flew. There is also a glorious full color rendering of the direct ascent Apollo spacecraft in landing mode. This could be flown on BDB Saturn V upgrades. No need to have the dreaded "rocket that shall not be named".

Yes, I know these designs didn't fly for good reasons, but when did that ever stop a KSP modder? LOL

Dev team, there is no need to spend your time on this stuff now, but perhaps it could be added to the list of cool stuff for the KSP2 rework.

Thanks!

And yet another time someone could say "if only you took French instead of German in H.S."  w

Well, German served well enough when the Parisians didn't want to answer the American tourist asking questions in English.  A quick restate in German and they promptly answered.... wait for it.... in English.

As for inclusion in BDB, some of us better start doing understudy under BDB team if we want the ever growing list of wants to turn into more Gb of BDB2.

Heya, I'm using KSRSS reborn which is a 2.7x rescale of Kerbin and I've found that it's impossible for me to get a Mercury Atlas into any height orbit. I've looked through the wiki as well and nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help me out here?

I think that is correct because Mercury is not designed for high orbit. As far as I can remember, the Atlas just goes into a low orbit.
But it is important to fly optimally and to jettison the booster engines in time.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. Something with the coast and I jettisoned the skirt too late.

Booster skirt jettison on most Atlas versions is optimal at a point where the Sustainer stage will be left with around 1:1 TWR. I think some of the performance charts are linked in the BDB wiki but otherwise you can check for yourself by defueling the rocket with the skirt removed until you get 1.0 twr. Then attach the skirt and the starting vac TWR you see is when to jettison. In the included BDB Mercury Atlas craft file this is at 3.56 TWR. Also the tower is jettisoned after skirt sep.

With Mechjeb PVG| 32 degrees| 110x150km| booster pitch rate 0.5deg/s| booster pitch start 50m/s| I was able to reach orbit with over 700m/s dv left launching from the cape in KSRSS reborn.

You mean these ones: https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-BDB-Wiki/wiki/Atlas-Payload-Performance :)

1.1 is pretty close to the ideal TWR after skirt separation. @dababykerman , if you need more Δv, you can jettison it earlier (that's why I added a line at 0.8 G in the charts)

In 2.5x, you need around 5000 m/s to reach orbit, 2.7x will need a bit more than that Δv. So, theoretically, an Atlas LV-3A will launch 2.050 t with a TWR of 1 after skirt jettison while at 0.8 TWR it can launch 2.350 t.

I think he meant you actually giving him details - what power systems? Which parts? How are they not working? What have you done to try to troubleshoot it? Do you have screenshots? Where is your KSP.log file?

Power systems are not working

Hello and welcome to the forums!  When something in KSP isn't working, it's best to be as detailed as possible:

What are the power systems you speak of?

What is the expected behavior you think should happen and what is happening?

What mods do you have currently installed, in case there's a mod compatibility issue.

Also, what version of BDB are you using, the latest release or the latest development version?

I think the delta fairing isn't working correctly, as in the variants won't change, the fairings look broken

Definitely not happening here - posted a flight of this vehicle just a few days back.  For reference, I have B9PartSwitch 2.20.0, and SAF 1.12.0 and am using the dev branch from github

Having a similar issue on my end with the Delta IV fairings. The fairings will not change size regardless of how many segments I input. The models look fine, but will not change length
